    Great pics KJ.
I hope everyone on the NE seaboard are safe and staying home if possible today. I hope the power stays on for everyone and that the snow doesn’t arrive in the large forecast amounts.

catch y’all on the flip side.

Good morning everyone! Love the good night pic too, MS! And love the first pic especially….so sweet.
We are fine this morning, our storm moved through Sunday night into Monday morning, very cold here though 3*. But nothing like the east coast at all with blizzard warnings.
ECB, I know what you mean about getting schedule rearranged to have day go smoother, I take my shower now on getting up before Avery arrives. Just works better that way. I am a putterer, but she doesn’t like that, LOL!

Good morning – love the pic of the 2 towering kitties in the big clock! Shaddo would get on hubby’s dresser and jump down on the bed – oof!
The way officials kept pre-empting TV last night. You would think this area has never seen snowfall in January. We got a few inches yesterday from that clipper but just caught the outer edges of the blizzard. Lots of wind and drifting snow, but not much snowfall. Funny to watch the traffic cams – bridges and tunnels to the city empty. All buses and trains stopped running at 11last night. Times Square had only pedestrians, no cars!

The robins have arrived down south. I guess it’s migration time because we saw our first robins…twelve in our yard at once! And we’re seeing chipping sparrows here today. Bird book says they winter here. They’re so cute. And I love robins.

Good Morning All and night night MS,

Love the pics KJ. Here’s my contribution:

Robins-I love robins. They are so beautiful. We have our (ginormous) resident geese and my furballs watch them from the window. I swear they’re thinking “WTF?!” Miss Gaea loves to chase critters but she doesn’t go near the geese.

Hopefully our friends in the Northeast will see a beautiful sunrise soon. Sunrise over Denver

Comet must feel conflicted. On one paw, mama is around more, on the other paw, she doesn’t get up at o’dark thirty. He got used to greeting me when I got up as he loves mommy and me time. Every day after shower I would let the sink water trickle so he could play. He sang in the morning when he thought I should be getting up (looking back I probably didn’t need my phone alarm), but by now he’s given up. Once in a while he is upstairs when I get up so we get our time, but more often than not it’s Leela who gets mommy and me time, as she stays in bed till I get up.
Robins – love them! I saved one a few years ago. It was about 6 degrees out and there was a lot of snow on the ground. Pretty birdie was in the center of the road. I stopped and picked him up and he didn’t seem injured, but he didn’t fight. Maybe the warmth of my gloved hands felt good? I also thought maybe he was in the road because the sun made the pavement feel warmer than the snow or up in a tree. At first I thought he couldn’t use his feet so I sat him on some snow, then thought it would be too cold so I found some brush sticking out of the snow. He fluttered to a branch and I made a point to check on him a little while later. He was not on the branch, but not down in the snow either. Robins are hearty birds; they don’t like the dead of winter but they can take it, which is why you see Robins so early in the spring, often when it’s still very much winter! But this guy certainly wouldn’t have made out too well in the middle of the street.

I didn’t have to click in today at work πŸ™‚ had the day off ! Yay πŸ™‚ had a really long lay in. I felt so guilty … Well technacilly I was up at 6 am and dropped Mr B off at work but went straight back into bed when I got home πŸ™‚

Ordered the new rug so no more Noodle near misses πŸ™‚ should arrive next week hopefully πŸ™‚

PG – feel better soon with purry nurses!
Joan, I feel for Comet, truly I do – not! Purrhaps you should give in and get up at dark o’thirty – not! Glad that you were not snowed under!
Guilty over day off Buttons – I don’t think so. You deserve it and yet you were still up at dark o’thirty (I like that term, tks Joan). And a new rug for Noodle, how we pamper our purries – and why not!
Well day isn’t quite half over and yet … worked out to a point where I thought passing out could be likely outcome, then carried two amazingly heavy grocery bags home, could have taken cab, but why make it easier on self, I’m a stupid girl! Then went to sit down and “missed” chair which fell over, slid or something. Caught myself but hit back against stupid chair, small cut and ouch! Arnica and ice and 2 Tylenol plus emergency call to physio whom I basically speed dial and fortunately nothing amiss thank G-d but will experience some lingering soreness for a bit. Next up, trip to dentist for some real work, well I can relax in chair I guess, and discuss purry things with wonderful assistant who has a Tonkinese. Well after dentist gets all those instruments out of my poor mouth LOL. Guess I forgot to mention that it’s brutally cold out too! Oh well nothing for it ‘cept to get through it. Tks for putting up with my complaining and back L8R. Hope that all are having a relatively good day!

Ouch KJ ! Mind yourself! Hope dentist isn’t to unpleasant .:)

Yes we do the funniest things for our babies πŸ™‚ I do love our black rug but poor Noodle has been stepped on a few times and enough was enough so I told Mr B “that’s it I don’t care if I don’t have the money ! I’m buying a new rug and it can’t be black..!”

So I found a gorgeous deep purple large rug .. It matches our cushions and couch throw too.. Will try and load a pic if I can..

As for the furrys I’m pulling my hair out.. Still dealing with diarrehea with at least two .. Fast didn’t work.. Bland diet hasn’t worked, tablets that Nutinin has been in for days now aren’t working… I wormed them all again yesterday fingers crossed that might help, given the raw food too! I’m scratching my head ! And to top it all off Ms Moneypenny’s eye started getting watery all Of a sudden so I upped her L-lysine and it looks like an infection has set in so she’s on eye ointment now again and have to really be so careful as it’s her only eye! And Nutini is just getting over a herpes flare up to! They must have upset stomachs to be getting flare ups .! Probably a passing virus cause their energy levels are fine and their appetite is fine too..

On the up side Messi is doing well πŸ™‚ she’s begging for her raisin treats now and greets me every morning by the open cage door πŸ™‚

Buttons, so glad that Messi is feeling good and eating again. Not so good about the feline furries with tummy upset though…goodness. This is just a thought, do you think it could be some bacteria in the raw meat diet?
PG–ugh, so sorry you are feeling under the weather. Hope you are resting and taking care of yourself, letting your purry nurses tell you what to do.
So glad that NYC and NJ didn’t get as much snow as predicted, but surely wouldn’t want to live in MA right now…ewww. That’s some scary stuff. Was watching the weather channel last night and one of the forecasters said that people are actually quite scared about this storm. Which made me say to myself..why wouldn’t they be with the way this channel has had nothing on BUT this storm for 2 straight days!! Reporters in grocery stores asking about supplies, governors are telling people to stay home…seriously. Like you said Joan, you would think that where we live, they’ve never heard of a snow storm in January….or February….or March….. πŸ˜‰
KJ, some funny stuff about your missing the chair…I’m not laughing AT you, but trying to visualize all you said you had been doing, then to top it off landing on the floor–goodness!
JK, hope your day is going well and you will soon be on your way home and the roads aren’t too bad.
About the robins, sometimes I see them if I am walking in the woods in the winter. I don’t know why some robins don’t go south, but I have seen them in the deep woods or in pine thickets. Wonder what they eat? They really are tough birds, but my heart soars when I see them in the spring along with the first red-winged blackbirds and the barn swallows much later in spring.
Hi Cheri, scary having a cyclops known as Velvet scaring you awake in the morning!

So pleased to hear that the storm has not been a bad as forecast. You never can tell with nature just how bad it is going to be but it’s always best to be forewarned and prepared. Was watching a news report from a deserted NYC last night and the quote was “The city that never sleep has gone into hibernation”. The perfectly fitted the deserted streets.
Deb, love the owl rescue story and cute pics.
Cute clocks JK and PG the jump on your bladder pic is so accurate, Hope you fight off whatever crud is ailing you, bed with Dr Catz is a good place to be.
Wow Joan, you have managed to have a cat adapt to your timetable! Well done Comet. Love the wee robin rescue story.
Good on you for spoiling yourself Buttons and going back to bed. Yay, new rug that is not Noodles camouflage. Sorry the cats diarrhea has sorted itself out despite your best efforts. I hope you can find a solution quickly. Poor Ms MP, heal up quickly.
KJ, ouch and owwwww! Your poor back, glad that nothing is out of place. Arnica is great, heal quickly. May your dentist visit be brief, painless and inexpensive and full of cat chat.
It’s hot and muggy here today with rain forecast this afternoon so there is a hot front being pushed ahead of the rain. Doing what I need to in the garden in preparation as we haven’t had any significant rain since New Years Eve. Hoping we get enough to fight of possible drought but also hoping we don’t get so much that all my tomatoes that are beginning to ripen don’t split.

Hey MS πŸ™‚ hope you get just the right ammount of rain πŸ™‚

Hey KZ πŸ™‚ I haven’t given them raw since Ms Moneypenny came home.. Just “go cat” dry food with some hairball treats.. I just gave them some raw (chicken wings & lamb heart) after their fast cause raw is meant to help with IBS in some cats..

I’m starting to think it’s a virus or parasite at this stage.. So I’ll worm them all again in another 2 weeks time if diarrehea is still there.. Ms Moneypenny isn’t too bad and Noodle isn’t too bad either buts Nutini is pretty bad πŸ™ I do rember her when she was about 8 months old and getting such a bad dose of diarrhea it lasts 3 months! So I’m sure any virus present makes her IBS so much worse..

It will get better eventually and they are all fine otherwise so it’s just to keep an eye on them
