    KZ – purchased L-Lysine as solid pill at CVS. Usually crush up 1/2 pill & sprinkle on kits food as needed. Don’t have the dosage here but can post it later. Maybe Buttons has some info to share too!

    Hey Deb, that tree is so cool – maybe we should create one for the TDK Library too!

    Love the book tree, saw it on FB! ….. great for the TDK library!

    ….. have sent the lysine link to son for Venus … vet has her on different meds (other than prednisone) and they seem to be helping! yay!
    ….. altho it’s not feline herpes, the lysine should help to boost her immune system … if he can’t find it, I’ll take him shopping for some over Christmas …. let me know if CVS sells is, that would be so easy for us 🙂

    ….. making tacos for dinner tonite (the complete opposite of Thanksgiving fare) .. I figure we’ll get our turkey/poultry fill soon, so want to eat something on the opposite side of the scale until then 🙂

    Hey all, excuse my typing if I mis-spell today. I was helping Mr MS with some DIY yesterday and boy woudn’t you know it but if you use a drill to remove a screw from wood it will be hot hot and burn your finger! I have a very ouchy finger today and can’t use my mouse either. Back to the mousepad which my sensitive fingertips don’t like.
    Chia seeds, I have them in my porridge(oatmeal) every morning.
    KZ, I can only buy the hard tablet from health food shops so I crush them carefully in a mortar and the papery coating I scratch out with a toothpick then I crush the rest of the tablet up very finely.
    JK, love the book Christmas tree, but not one to have when there are likely to be young ones down.

    Hi litter mates! Busy morning, then went to mom’s for a while. Brother bought some cranberries so I’m going to cook and mix them into one of the 2 stuffings I’m making. Also making mashed potatoes and gingerbread squares. Brother is in charge of the turkey, sister will do a vegetarian dish (my stuffings and potatoes are veggie-friendly) and a Danish for dessert and mom will make corn and string beans – the beans are from brother’s garden. She also has a frozen cheesecake. Sounds like plenty of food to me!

    Wrapping things up around here. Will do errands soon for is clear out today. Plan on going to pet store etc. Bet
    grocery store will be a zoo too!

    School fund raiser at the local pizza joint so we’re having pizza tonight.
    Cozy fire feeling goid as temps continue to fall. Rain to snow tomorrow. Depending on the path, we may or may not get walloped.

    Yes you Crush the hard tablets as MS & Jean have said morter & pesel is good I used to have to crush Buttons D-Mannose tablet and I used two metal spoons. Place the tablet in one spoon and press the bottom of the other spoon on top and that’s good for crushing tablets too 🙂 must look for Paige’s thread now and pop back into cafe to catch up with everyone’s thanks giving preps 🙂

    Thanks for all the info guys! I bought some from on line pet store and was a little pricey. BUT, at least I’ll get them started on it when I receive it. Then, I’ll just get the pills from CVS (went there tonight and saw a big jar) and crush them. Live and learn I guess, LOL!

    Busy day. Popping in to read over the cafe and say hello before bed. Yeah, KZ, the price on the lysine powder I buy just went way up…boo. I tried giving the boys a little less since Emily needs it most these days. Eko sneezed twice today…I’ll wait til after the holiday to experiment with the dosage I guess.

    Chia pudding…funny you should mention it…just started having it for breakfast sometimes a couple of weeks ago. Very “hippie granola”…the taste is okay, but it makes me feel great and is super good for you. Texture a bit slimy but I add all sorts of other “hippy granola” stuff to it to break up the slime factor.

    Buttons, glad you’re seeing some improvement with MP’s eye.
