Good Morning JK & KJ – It’s another grey and mild day here too, with off and on rain. There’s a rumor going around that we may see the sun on Thursday.
Fun at the office, yay JK! Not sure what a real office party is like, it’s been years.
Oh my, French lessons – better late than never!
Came across a recording of Cantique de Noel, performed in 1974 at my hometown high school – gave me chills. Each year, a senior girl and boy would perform solos and the choir & chorus would join in. And each year, alumn were invited on stage to sing this song. Each year, the stage was packed! For over 40 years, this high school concert closer was tradition. Mr. William Cromie was the director of the choir, chorus, as well as the performing arts department and was a co-band director. He was larger than life, a true legend. At the conclusion of this song, Mr. Cromie, wearing his traditional concert tux and tails, would do an about face and say “Merry Christmas!” to the audience. I hear his words every time I hear this song.
