Do something nice or kind for someone who is in need of help. It can be physical, emotional, or spiritual. Kits provide all three. Angel food cake is for sure on the Café menu!

Oh I love the pic of the angel and the black cat!! I would love a framed copy of that!!

Peso is feeling better this morning–I was worried about him last night and I didn’t get much sleep because of it. He felt so bad and he looked it. But today the anesthetic is worn off and he has eaten good and he is so much more perky…and he took his antibiotics for me. I don’t think the surgery is affecting him as much as the ear infection!

This page seems to be a bit faster than it has for ages, I hope it is for everyone else too. Maybe KM did something to fix it!! 🙂 I can read and post without it taking forever!

Angels . . . well, sometimes just slightly fallen ones! But they rarely mean to be wicked. They are just eternally, insatiably curious about everything in their world, and now and again trying to find out the details can result in something falling over.

Just like when human Dad is changing a light bulb, standing on a chair in the bathroom . . . and along comes curious angel, runs up legs to find out what’s going on up there . . .

Result: one broken light bulb, one broken glass lampshade (my beautiful Art Nouveau one with the roses) and one slightly scratched and bleeding Dad . . .

He’d only been with us four days. And I’ve never managed to find a replacement lampshade. But I’d still rather have my fur angel than all the Art Nouveau roses in the world.

    timez for nomz
    Geez…thanks Tux 😉
Almost that time…timez for Nomz or lunchtime…should be a bit more pleasant walk today. Less Humid with slight breeze…can’t wait…soon!

    Agree…Kittehs are Angels in Disguise!
I’ve felt that throughout my time as Meowmy thru the years with all of my kits!
    cat angels - ringer!
Ok…have to finish up stuff on desk…later/hopeful!

Your dad needs a stepladder. Much more solid, even in the face of feline intervention. I’m short so I need mine.

Hi all – awww, the kitty angel pics are so cute!
    Glad Peso is feeling better.
It’s quite warm & humid here in Jersey with storms expected later.

Our bathroom is much too small for a stepladder! One dining chair is all we can fit in there when light bulbs need changing.

Nowadays he closes the door first.

Good morning all. It’s a sunny day after a nippy night.
KZ, I found that pic of the angel holding a black cat on Google images, it only seems to be on Pinterest. I don’t have a Pinterest account(self preservation) but if you do you can get more of an idea about where else it is posted. It has the name Ryan down one side. Hope that helps.
Yay for Peso feeling better and taking his antibiotics for his ear.
CWS, oh dear I couldn’t help chuckling at your naughty angel description but then I was sad about your Art Nouveau light shade’s demise. Oh and the scratched and bleeding Dad.

Re changing lightbulbs, CWS. Been there, done that. When bulbs shatter it is pretty much disastrous clean-up job. Yet even with 2 different stepladder styles, I find a chair more secure.

Tks to the TDK angels for helping me to shore up for today’s stressor. Thank G-d all went well. Small glitch (very) is that shin bruise/cut might be infected, have to watch it for next 2 days and if suspected area gets larger will have to go antibiotic route. Much less psych stress than when leg got srsly infected when Dorry srsly bit me (accidentally.)

Big shout out to our JJ! We had major power outage due to major storm, lots of trees in n’hood are no more. Phoned JJ and she was most willing to step in and open tomorrow’s Café had power not started up again. I might open up earlier just in case.

KZ, the site is definitely faster for me. Gr8! Good that Peso is recovering nicely and being a good boy by taking his meds.

MS, I’ll send you pics of new and previous (now office) chairs. Can’t post pics from my desktop onsite anymore. Until I give in and go the upgrade route.

    Hi Efurryone,

I made it to the bestest lounge around, whee. Every single one of the angel kit pictures are precious but I’m into Charlie’s Angels and Nip Angels. 😆

I’m so glad Peso is feeling better so you don’t have to feel guilty now. 😉 Changing a bulb while standing on the side of the tub-done it. There’s no room in my bathroom either so I finally bought a small step.

I’ve been running amok today with appointments, errands, etc. I have my knee brace on and 4-5 people ask me why and I tell them I have a bad knee. “Are you having surgery?” So-and-so friend/family had surgery and they’re still recovering (however many years later). They proceed to tell me how to be ready for surgery. How does one really get ready for surgery?! What kind of question is that from someone I don’t even know. I’m just tired and overwhelmed by all that’s going on and I don’t want to answer their questions. Grrrr!
My knee hurts a lot so I’m taking some pain meds. Here’s my 2.5 cents worth:

PG, disregard the questions/attitudes/ignorance of people with surgery questions AND especially the horror story ones of peeps who have had surgery and are still trying to recover. Remember, all you have to do is show up–surgery will be over and you will be in recovery and then you can start your physical therapy. Follow the directions of your doctor and therapist and do what they say….you will be fine and pain free again and walking!

KJ, glad the day went better than expected and hopefully you don’t have an infected cut.

MS, thanks for the heads up on the angel pic–I’ll look into it!

Ooooh PG! That dark angel grrrl! So very Goth – love it!

I so hear you on the invasive comments from stupid peeps. Don’t want to diss your friends/family, but complete strangers? How in the world do they think horror stories will help? But it’s hard to tune these “well-meaning” types out at times. Hard not to get “unfluffy” too. Good comeback line is from Rema Major rap song called “I’m The One” – “Congratulations your opinion is irrelevant.” Wish that I had it on the tip of my tongue more often. Suits various purrposes IMHO.

For sure peeps may take ages to recover – especially if they are not committed to getting back into activities again. But that is not KZ, nor you.

A long time back I was hit by a car and had knee surgery. Someone I knew fell and had either knee or ankle surgery. She did nothing and did not recover well if at all. As in my case physio was recommended by my ortho. She noted that I was her only client who actuyally kept up with exercises at home and was determined to get back into the game. A few months later I went right back into advanced dance classes. Each purrson is different and has different goals.

What KZ said is the truth. Since they can’t start the surgery without you, just show up and the med profs will tell you what you need do in terms of recovery and follow up.

    Thanks all 😉

I keep looking at the Tux patting his purrson to feed him…if only I were so lucky. LilBit, a 11 lb. kit, decided the best way to wake me is to sit on me and meow and meow and meow. It really sucks when I’m on my back and he sits on my chest. *Gasp*

Great comeback! I’ll have to put that on a post-it and carry it with me. 😆 That’s your Goth angel KJ. Yea for JJ-I’m glad you had a backup.

CWS-you can copy the picture from our site on to Photobucket. You can edit and order prints from them.

Nearly bought me a Goth-style ring today. Instead bought me a bag with – get this another bag (shoulder bag) nesting in the tote! 2 for 1! I have been hankering for a black bag without a lot of metallic detail and now I have one. Shoulder bag has some gold detail, but not in an overpowering way. Also picked up a pair of biker-chic silver-tone frame shades, just because.

Would be remiss of me not to post YouTube of song that I mentioned. IMHO it’s way neat! And her ‘tude is awesome. Line is at :34. 🙂
