    Joan, you made me hungry!

KZ, I’d be happy to come celebrate. I always choose Mexican as my birthday restaurant too!

Hope the lender gets their act together today, AV.

    Morning!!!

Ok now I am hungry for tacos, nachos, margaritas of course and anything with tortilla chips 🙂 Actually the ‘ritas might make the migraine more bearable at least….

Happy Birthday to your daughter, KZ!

For my 21st birthday, my co-workers took me to a Mexican restaurant after work. The staff sang Happy Birthday in Spanish! Of course, being a young chickie (and whatever they were feeding me to drink) I turned beet red! It’s a happy memory though 🙂

Hee hee…fun pics for aporo theme! Enjoy Mexican cuisine too/not just the ‘ritas or coffee!
    Adding my n’hood gato as:
    Otto Gato
Otto Gato. (First just called him gato/he would stroll from across the street where there’s a Mexican Bar. Decided to
give him a name/has been hanging around off & on since – about 3+ years!
OK, I need a very large java and hmm, how about some cinny Tostito like chips…in honor of today’s theme!
Waves with wishes for all to have the best day yet this week. Now a smooch for Tux, later kits.

    Hi JK,
Otto Gato is a stunner! Looks like a Maine Coon/tabby mix. Also looks very well fed, that’s some tray of noms there, and thanks to you for looking out for him. Even looks like he’s saying “Thanks!” IMHO. Well off to accomplish today’s errand list so L8R!
And finally had to give in to chillier temps and ditch bare legs/sandals in favour of tights/loafers. Summer not nearly long enough, although it could suddenly get real warm again all of a sudden so not doing the serious (but fun for me) closet re-organize just yet.

Thanks KJ. Yup, outdoor kits get trio’s leftovers. Since he’s usually the first in the AM, gets the good stuff. I put out kibble too!

Yup, we are cooler in brewtown too/still only +49 – may hit low 60’s today! Borrowed trap/again from neighbor who was wearing sandals this AM…Brrr imho!

Here is a virtual look into the TDK Café Kitchen:
    Hello kitty kitchen

Coffee vs Tea Lol shared earlier as Otto pic/oops…here it is again in appro place 😉

Purrs of thanks from Otto Aunt Joan 😉
Yup, he looks rounder now – that was an older pic. Hoping he gets noms/attn. form another neighbor too. Still feel sad for more stray/ferals around again! Noticed a med size tuxie w/ large tuixe the other day plus grey/white ?teen kit along w/Gabby & Otto. Haven’t spotted the 2 kittens in about a week. Was hoping to at least catch the kittens/so small – out of harms way – no luck yet! The other day when had Crock out noticed the
smaller tuxie just walked around/past trap which was hidden in the garden/LOL. They have me figured out! 😉
Well, it’s time for a brew treat as Mexican coffee:

Roasted cauliflower? A whole head of cauliflower? This recipe has you slathering cauliflower in a spicy yogurt marinade and roasting it at a high temperature. The result is an amazingly delicious dish that’s as dramatic in presentation as it is easy in preparation. Serve it with a big green salad (we suggest lime juice and olive oil for the dressing) for an easy weeknight supper.

    Spicy Whole Roasted Cauliflower

    Ingredients

    1 tablespoon vegetable oil
    1 head cauliflower
    1½ cups plain Greek yogurt
    1 lime, zested and juiced
    2 tablespoons chile powder
    1 tablespoon cumin
    1 tablespoon garlic powder
    1 teaspoon curry powder
    2 teaspoons kosher salt
    1 teaspoon black pepper

    Directions

    1. Preheat the oven to 400° and lightly grease a small baking sheet with vegetable oil. Set aside.

    2. Trim the base of the cauliflower to remove any green leaves and the woody stem.

    3. In a medium bowl, combine the yogurt with the lime zest and juice, chile powder, cumin, garlic powder, curry powder, salt and pepper.

    4. Dunk the cauliflower into the bowl and use a brush or your hands to smear the marinade evenly over its surface. (Excess marinade can be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to three days and used with meat, fish or other veggies.)

    5. Place the cauliflower on the prepared baking sheet and roast until the surface is dry and lightly browned, 30 to 40 minutes. The marinade will make a crust on the surface of the cauliflower.

    6. Let the cauliflower cool for 10 minutes before cutting it into wedges and serving alongside a big green salad.

Looks exactly like my kitchen – only different LOL! To my credit I do have a Hello Kitty T-shirt as gym wear. And I believe that our Buttons has a Hello Kitty cell iPhone cover.

Sniff, sniff…I smell Cauliflower, thanks Deb!
Lol KJ…if my kitchen looked like that I’d be a different person, maybe spend more time in it…move over Martha Stewart/ NOT yet!

Sigh, I need some RR in the sunshine…c’mon Tux, to the lounge chair as lunchtime patio fun!
    Ah, this is the life…

Forgot to say I love Dorry’s temporary nickname…señor dorrito…lol. Handsome pic of Otto, JK. Those feral kittens in my neighborhood haven’t been spotted again. That one day was the only time…hmm. Guess my TNR plans are on hold. I’d love to see cream kitty fixed, but have some trepidation about trapping a big Tom cat…seems he’d be terrified and he’s definitely a sprayer. And he looks so old (though with a rough life he might not be). I don’t know…I’d love to stop him from reproducing, but have doubts about trying to trap him.

LOL, missed Dorry’s nickname of the day too!
Same here ECB on trap/catching results = zip.
I think the older kits are to savvy to be trapped unless starving. Since I’ve been putting out kibble & there are plenty of birds/pigeons around don’t think they’re starving/yet. Maybe closer to Winter when prey gets more sparse.

Think I will now grab a cup of Mexican coffee & head back to desk for remainder of the day’s fun!

My Crew were all kitties who had been tossed aside for one reason or another, either by their owners or maybe they got lost somehow. Anyhoo, when each of them came to live with me (yes they all found me, Kitty and Red at my former house and Lil Girl at work before we moved) I took each of them in to be checked, spay/neutered, shots … the whole shebang, well wouldn’t you know that all of them were already s/n 🙂 Red was already 8-10 yrs old with an infection in his mouth that you could smell 3′ away and he ended up with having all of them pulled except for the four little fang teeth and is doing fine now at 16+ years >^..^<

LOL, Good one Deb. OK about an hour more to go. Will head home & check to see if have any little feral kits around.
Need to do my grass/lawn cut. Air out Crockey after all of that fun. Oh wait, maybe even throw in a load of wash as
    a topper/LOL!
So paw up waves w/wishes for all to enjoy rest of today. Back on the flip as Wootsday.
