Originating in 1937, the cooperation between farmers and other community members is what June Dairy Month is all about – celebrating and using a wonderful product.

Today a traditional highlight is a parade, featuring county and regional dairy princesses, town officials, floats and marching bands. Other activities include cow milking contests, cow visits at zoos, or banks offering free milk and ice cream cones.

Dairy products, cow or goat, are delish. What would cereal be without milk? Dry! Many kits like dairy products but most kits are lactose intolerant so they should get goat milk products.

What shall I do as I look towards Tuesday?

Well, my calf still feels bad. I can walk a bit without the cane but mostly, I’m hobbling. πŸ‘Ώ Yes, I’m making an appt. with my PC.

I’m falling asleep in the recliner waiting for Miss Gaea to come in…
    cya l8r and have a happy~

PG, sadly muscle issues actually take longer than breaks to completely heal. So I’ve been told. πŸ™ PC – is that physio? Hopefully you’ll get some good advice to speed up your healing.

Dorry has never been fed anything other than kit food, although Nicky liked a bit of yogurt. I drink goats milk, although I mix it with cow’s milk cream for coffee.

The kit drinking straight from the cow gif is COA material!

The nip kit so looks like Dorry!

Synchronicity at play – yest spin instructor just got back from vaca in Romania! Visited Translylvania and all. She did not bring a cross or garlic, says she’s not religious hehehe. But Dracula is for sure based on a historical character as Vlad Tepes (the Impaler) – not pretty at all.

5 am and I’m still wide awake. have to be up by 7 am so at most will sorta get 2 hrs of sleep. I know why and there’s nothing much for it. Will make the attempt. These all nighters do see me getting things done, but I get undone. πŸ™

    I’m still here guys πŸ˜†

    It’s hard to kill a bad thing πŸ˜† ..

Turns out not to be blood clot.. I did however self diagnosis according to the docs I didn’t need them at all.. I told them my suspicions of Scarcoidosis before they had my CT scan results. I told them I’ve suspected it for a few years now and told many other docs and turns out I was right all along it’s scarcoidosis… and it’s thanks to my tattoos I figured it out and it was caught early I will have to have life time treatment to keep my lungs from developing any more scar tissue .. and they doc wants to do a study of my case as he feels my theory of the connection between my tats and the scarcoidosis could help with future early diagnosis for other people.. as it’s a rare condition and even more rarely diagnosed and normally only diagnosed after lasting damage to lungs heart and other internal organs

Yes, remember that there are also dairy products from nanny goats’ and ewes’ milk, for those of us (including cats) who can’t drink cow milk. Fortunately I have access to cheeses, yogourt and other products from those milks.

Some people can’t even tolerate those, and have to use “milks” made from soya, rice or other substances, though they really don’t taste the same.

A great number of people in the world are lactose intolerant; in some regions it is the norm.

Livia doesn’t even like (goat) milk, though she does like a bit of plain goat yogourt.

Yummmm, DAIRY! After having a dairy for a long time, you miss having your own milk and butter. Butter is surprisingly so easy to make from whole milk. Even in a canning jar with the milk brought to room temperature, just shaking it…the butter clumps together and VOILA! BUTTER!!

Buttons, so glad it wasn’t a blood clot. I hope you are out of the hospital and got some decent food too.. πŸ˜‰ Prayers for you, Mr. B and your furkids!

I don’t know how you function with so little sleep, KJ. I would’ve passed out by now from lack of sleep.

Thanks goodness you’re going home Buttons. Now let’s get you back to healthy.

Toot toot – ’tis Tuesday! Heat/Humidity has gone down for at least today in my n’hood! Which is great for me are w/o AC at this place – getting new system hopeful tomorrow! Have fans going in each area…not bad – was worse yest!
Hmm…Being form Dairy State I still have strong opinion on Dairy Industry! It is NOT Kind to Cows.
(Dairy Farmers had problems this Spring selling their milk…over supply since lost CN Milk Biz. They temp fixed it with Dairy Farm Co-Ops)…but still not a caring Industry toward animals!

If you say moo one more time, I killz you!
Hope your calf feels better soon, PG.
I’m m not well traveled; hear there are some beautiful castles in Romania.
I would not want to be lactose intolerant, but it’s good to know there are decent faux-dairy products available.
My grandmother fed her cat cream every day while she had peaches and cream for breakfast.
Oh Buttons, hope you are feeling better. Glad it wasn’t a blood clot.
Hang in there, JK. I worked in a school with no a/c and Summers were brutal(worked year round). The fans at least push the air around.
Day 3 of 90+ heat here, it’s officially a heat wave. Glad to see brother had a/c on, while mom was wearing 2 sweaters. Oh the joy of being 90.

Buttons is chillin at home with her fur babies! So glad that her situation is not a serious as a blood clot.

Same sort of weather here JJ, a tad less humid than yesterday though.

Went to gym then hair stylist. “We” are indeed getting to desired look as in very cutting edge hehehe. If anyone knows clipper settings, back and sides were done with 1.5 which is way short, top is much longer and yes, can cover one eye completely as grazes just below cheekbone. Not a look that all would be wanting to rock, but very much me!

On way home actually found shelving in almost exact shade of bdrm walls! Who would imagine finding stuff in cerulean blue! well took one home, sawed it down, mixed up some paints to get even more exact shade. It’s drying is the hall, which is way hot, individual units have A/C, or not. So by tomorrow I’ll install it to replace a white shelf.

Also have a little job to work on and submit tomorrow. Editing, so fun for me.

Now if I had no morals … well I saw a stunning Basement Cat in a flower bed. No collar/tags. But I am not a thief. And stopped by vets to get some stuff for Dorry. A grrrl was in waiting area with her new kitty, Mr. Breezy. A month old, she’s had him for just a week, her first kitty too! Caramel/white with interesting markings. And so alert, I’d forgotten how active wee kits are. He comes from a litter of nine – all are being adopted out I think. I thought that’s a big litter for Mama Cat, but was told that it is pawsible, but not that easy a deliver.

PG, for sure I don’t know how I’m still standing. Ended up getting 1/2 hr of sleep. And knowing why and that basically there is nothing much for it helps me not at all. I’m racing around. And tomorrow there is a comedown of sorts. *Sigh*

Lagatta, I like goat’s milk but the cheese not so much. I even put milk on hot oatmeal as those who know feel that calcium in any way shape or form is key for me. One of the few things I pay heed to.

My replacement yarn arrived. Neat when I can contact an online shoppe and tell them that I lost 2 balls due to too many knots and without my having to prove anything they send me 2 more balls totally free, even shipping. Well, I would not lie and hope that others would not take advantage of customer service. Think that I might wind it. Or purrhaps the better plan would be to eat something, as passing out cold is not part of my plan for this evening. πŸ˜‰

Good morning, it’s a nippy and very windy Wednesday.
PG I love the ‘kegger’ pic. Just the sight of a bucket full of frothy milk brings back memories of my Grampa sitting on a small stool hand milking his 3-4 cows while I watched. πŸ™‚
Bad to hear that you are still having troubles with your calf and good that you are making an appointment to get it checked again.
Wow Buttons, great diagnosis, so glad it wasn’t a blood clot. You listened to your body and what it was telling you. Hope all goes well for you in the future.
HRH was very very snuggly yesterday. She snuggled up on my chest several times for 20 minutes or so at a time and then on daddy during the evening. Then she decided to snuggle up with me in bed and block my view of my book. Woke this morning to find I had been abandoned and she was snuggled up with Daddy. I wonder what brought this on so suddenly. I am enjoying it as long as I don’t have to be doing something else.
