    Hi Marnet! *waving*

Hi JK – oh those Maine Coons. I will never forget needing to soak up some winter sun, bundling up and having Jiggs join me as my personal furry blanket!

I was out earlier and rescued a bird from the middle of the road. At least I hope I rescued it. Scooped up the pretty full grown robin and with minimal fluttering he settled into my hands. He/she didn’t appear injured, just looked deep into my eyes. I found some brush sticking out of the snow and settled the bird on a branch. Hope he’s going to be okay. If he was in the road to warm up, I would think he would have flown off instead of trusting me to pick him up.

Hey everyone. I am taking lunch at my desk so I thought I would pop in. Not having anything special, just a TV dinner sort of thing. About once a year I get nostalgic and have to have one. Sometimes I just need something covered in salty gravy.

Yum…cukes/tomato recipe sounds yummers Deb, thanks!
Aw Joan…little birdie knew you were a nice lady! Yup, fun to see Maine Coons outdoors rolling in snow…Luck used to do that. Otto has too, on a bit warmer/pleasant day.
Hey Kykat…great to see you! Little café kits are all scurrying over to say hello & maybe a smidge of gravy/LOL!

JK, I had an urge to keep him, as he settled into my hands and stared at me. But wild birds are wild birds, and I didn’t think I should take him from his nest area. Oh and in an interesting coincidence, when at mom’s today (I was on my way there when I saw the bird) she gave me a mug from Wisconsin with a robin on it as the state bird!
    Hi Kykat!

JK, the JD pic is hilarious, my answers were … interesting. I do like the “occasional” sip of JD, I consider it a “writer’s drink”. If I saw a robin here I’d either be hallucinating or hallucinating, too *unfluffy* cold.

It crossed my mind too that I was looking into the eyes of a robin, of all birds! Maybe it’s a message, there is hope…

Hi all, mid morning here and I am almost done with the usual jobs around the house before I head to the garden. I have numerous Monarch caterpillars munching away in the corner of the room so at least some will make it to butterflies this year.
Love the cat who moved to the pastry factory*a pasty is a type of meat pie) so the story got a but muddled with similar sounding words). Don’t you just love how cats can be so nonchalant.
LOL at ‘Waiting for the End’ vid.
Awwwwww Joan, a you saved a wee robin, I wonder if it saw the compassion and awe in your eyes.

    Nighty night JK, hi Joan.
It’s become very overcast here and almost feels like rain. Temperature has dropped to, I doubt that we will reach out target of 25C today.

Comet wants to know if he can ride an elephant at the circus. Told him he must be very nice to the elephant…

Here’s one Joan, don’t think Comet would have any probs getting on with this ellie-fant. Dorry wanted to ride one of those go-carts then I saw him packing his leotard and tights in his backpack. I think he was going to sneak off until he realized that he won’t get it any better than he does here LOL. Now I’m going to take my wretched-feeling self off for the night. Take care.

Oh, that picture with the cat/elephant is just TOO CUTE!!!! Awww….
I went to the chiropractor today and feel a little better. My pelvis is crooked, strained muscles, and bad muscle spasms…. OUCH! She put ice, used two kinds of machines, ultra sound and then tried to adjust me. Then her sister did “massage??” (Excruciating… I’ll tell ya!!!!) to try to get all the bad knots loosened up. I could feel a difference right away and felt tingling in my legs too! Came home, took a shower, Advil and napped. Making spaghetti now, as I really haven’t eaten much all day. I’ll be going back for more treatments too. She knew right away what it was. She’s a GOOD chiropractor! I’m just relieved it’s not a disk issue, or something really bad!!!

    Hi BB,

Good that you found out what is causing back problems and that while you might be uncomfortable after sessions ultimately you should feel better and better. *been there, done that, physio for various things*

BB, that is great you have found someone who knows what they are doing and can give you some relief. I hope this is the beginning of the end of your backache.
Had a shower of rain and now the sun is out and the cicadas are singing again. HRH wandered in for one of her many daily brushing sessions and then off again afterwards.

Gavin is SO cute!!!! When I napped earlier he was sleeping with me under the blankets, but moved after awhile. I didn’t see him and wondered where he was??? Chad was on top of the covers behind my legs cause Gavin growled nastily and hissed at him when he tried to go under the blanket. 🙁 Well, I found Gavin under the blanket on the floor all curled up, right near me. I just looked over and saw what it was all about!!! His BIG mousie was there!!!! He was sleeping next to it. NO wonder he growled at Chad! The MYSTERY has been solved!!!! He sure LOVES that mousie. Chad is not allowed to touch it!!! LOL
