Bobbi I haven’t quite gone off to slumberland yet. I don’t feel ostracized by you I enjoy vegetarian cooking it is a creative challenge although I am a meat eater; I do prefer to eat local or wild game because I don’t like the way animals are treated either. I always buy free range eggs, too not that much more expensive and they taste so much better.

I agree that free range is best if you’re gonna eat meat.

We have been getting our eggs from a friend who has chickens, but who also raises some beef cattle, goats and pigs for slaughter.

But we can talk of something else.

I loved the grown up version of today’s kitten. Did you see it?

Hi all. artistabobbi, don’t you have any local organic farms where you can get chicken and meat? We have some of them here, and some of the local butcher shops only carry meat from those farms. The animals are raised in good conditions and are only fed organic food. I know some people don’t believe in eating any meat; that is fine. I’m just not one of them. Free range chicken raised on organic food is GOOOD! Like you, I don’t trust the origin of the meat in the big grocery stores.

I have to chuckle at the comments on deer in the yard. There have been so many of them this year that they have become pests, getting into the gardens and corn fields and causing many car accidents. But now that bow-hunting season has begun, they have all disappeared! Somehow they seem to know. The cats love to watch the deer, and I’ve noticed that the deer keep a pretty close eye on the cats too.

Hi Catwoman, Bobbi, TigerPaw Neenie and everyone else. I have been very busy since I got home today so just now getting on the wait and temptation to see Shorty almost won but I beat it.

I am taking on 2 home and hospital students this coming week. So contacting parents and schools. Plus I go intp Alum Rock tomorrow to finalize my application there and will be available to work by the time I leave.

I am soooo tired. Was getting along rather well today with my Stepfather, until the sunject of moving out came up. He reminded me how much I make, how much rent, utilities, phone, gas etc will cost and how I wont be able to move out on my own until I get a full time teaching position and even then I may not be able to support myself. He brought the subject up.

So annoyed plus already stressed with the load I have signed myself up for.

I wonder if he did it on purpose?

Anyways how is everyone? High catwoman’s son. LOL! See what happens when you leave your computer unattended.

I really am going to bed. . . I love seeing the grown up version of the kittens. I love seeing the deer. Sometimes I see them going and coming from work–not so many this year but sometimes a lot. One time I saw twin fawns that still had their spots on. One morning I walked so close to a deer I could have reached out and touched him. I was suprised he didn’t run it was a thrill

I like watching the deer too, but for some reason in our area the deer are suicidal. Our county is always at the top of the list for car/deer accidents. I don’t know what their problem is. And let’s not even get into the wild turkeys – surely one of the stupidest animals on the planet. Yeah, just walk right out into the expressway, will you?

Hey Tigerpaw! I think you are part right, but he still tries to raise vme at 27 now as his parents did to him. I just wish he would be more supportive and take notice of all the thought and planning I have put into this instead of saying I can’t do it.

I try to understand it’s how he is and was raises and how he became a first time parent to a 13 year old who didn’t want anything to do with him or his relationship to mom. But, I mellowed and saw that they were good together and for each other. I just wish he would be more positive about this goal of mine.
