The purrpose of this day is to be friendly and create better relationships. The term “Neighbour” can be used loosely. Go out and greet everyone today with a big “high five.”

I thought I’d stop by and say hi. That’s about all I can do because I’m on cloud 9 and can’t focus any way. It’s from the Vicodin.

    An interesting fact…or not

In the Commonwealth of Nations countries (except Canada), the V sign as an insult (the middle and index fingers raised, and given with back of the hand towards the recipient) serves a similar purpose to The finger.

See ya later and have a happy~ I’m am

Squeee on wee white floofster, PG!
    “Knuckles” hehehe!
You take care, sleep as much as Vicodin tells you to and hopefully pain from dental surgery will abate over the day.

Here we expect dreaded freezing rain l8r over tomorrow a.m. If really bad I might convince myself to skip 2nd to last course session/film as when I need to go out again at 5 p.m. Ice should have melted some.

Right now it’s -19C with the wind chill factored in. Anyting that I add will veer into totally “unfluffy” language territory.

Want to get to gym a tad early to “decorate” new/temp locker, ie line it with lace placemat, put up magnetic mirror so that I can do makeup after class without whole bunch of peeps crowding makeup/hair fixin’ room. Should I put up pic of handsome guy, ie Travis Fimel? Like high scool grrrls might? Hmmm … might not want to ruin current rep … mine not his. 😉

After only one day could get used to high-end locker n’hood. Will have to see who else is in area as some long-standing members have inferred that they don’t want their “Club” overtaken by “low renters.” Anyone tries anything on KJ and you all know that I will have to use line from Rheema Major hit “Congratulations, your opinion is irrelevant.” 🙂

    L8r!

Hi KJ & PG – such fun pics! I didn’t know that factoid about the V sign, always thought it was V for Victory to everyone. Feel better soon, PG.
Thanks for the kind words yesterday, KJ. I was in such a bad place back then, literally and figuratively. I liked the job, the immediate office mates, not so much.
I smile and wave to pretty much everyone, and sometimes it’s reciprocated!
It’s raining on much of North Jersey, but here in the higher elevations it’s sleet/freezing rain. Temps expected to rise, so should be all rain soon. Comet has been chasing Dewey around. When Dewey runs, it sounds like he has at least twelve feet! Leela has found a quiet cozy nook upstairs.

JJ, we’re slated for your weather tonight and over tomorrow. Freezing rain warning! Ahhhh! 😮

At gym overhearing complaints but for a rare change not “putting my oar in.” ‘Cause when reg locker room is done, it’s the Health Club’s turn and all of us will be in renovated reg locker room – which from the pics that I saw, well reno generally means looks way better, right? *Sigh*. I get that peeps are upset as they are getting paltry discount for inconvenience 9as in more crowded,) but do not appreciate comment that reg members should have to use locker rooms near pool. Can’t wear reg shoes/boots in area, way slippery and way too many kiddos. Anyway told not to stress myself as it seems to be a done deal which suits me. So not my biggest issue – by far, but easier than thinking about other stuff.

Back to “Finger” theme. I have a YouTube vid from rapper “Game” teaching me gangsta signs. Just in case I ever find myself in Compton, LA (Westside) or East Flatbush (Eastside) well I wouldn’t want to “represent” using the wrong sign. Now from the part I watched, none of the signs are unfluffy, basically flashing letters, using one’s digits. But knowing this is a fun purrsonal interest of mine, I will spare the rest of you. 😉

Back when I was in uni I used my thumb to hitchhike Downtown. Esp as we had reg occurring bus strikes. Did have some close calls, didn’t stop me. Silly grrrl! Nowadays I wouldn’t even try hitchhiking.

PG, hope that your dental surgery recovery is going better. Didn’t know that factoid either – interesting.

Now getting ready to go to dentist for filling #3.

Hi effuryone! …. beautiful and sunny here, upper 70’s and no rain in sight …. normally I’d want rain, but since the exterior side of my house is torn open (Mr. AV replacing French doors), I’m glad we will have nice weather to finish the construction ….

Abby and Lu have to be confined to their respective bedrooms during the day, and Caddy and the grey streak are playing in the bushes all day …..

I’m plugging along with my computer work, house is all visquinned off so the mess doesn’t invade the interior (too much) … *sighs* …. I’ll be glad when it’s over!!

Oh the wee white baby! Hope he or she isn’t deaf. Though once I found a stray white kitten who was deaf and the rescue people assured me that they’d find him a good home (I had two cats and couldn’t keep him, though he was lovely).

People who signed up to the fitness centre before the changes should not lose their prior lockers.

Good morning all. Another humid day but we have had some moisture if you can call it that. Enough to just show up on the outdoor table but not enough to wet a tissue. No sun and plenty of low cloud. Overnight temp was about 20C/68F, made for an uncomfortable sleep. HRH spent most of the night on the windowsill.
PG, you are quite correct about the reversed V sign and it’s meaning, that pic of Churchill must be photoshopped. Having said that most people now use the single digit middle finger or I believe it’s known as flipping the bird in your part of the world. Just known as ‘the finger’ here.
Definitely a COA for the white kitty. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
KJ, brrrrrr freezing rain, that doesn’t even sound nice here where we have been sweltering although Airy further south in our capital city said it was 12C this morning and Summer has bypassed them on the whole.
KJ, you could put up one of those pics of handsome men with kitties in similar poses in your new locker. 😉 You won’t ruin your rep, just add to your mysteriousness.
Morning JJ, sounds like fun and games at your place with Dewey and his 12 feet. Yuk on your weather too.
JK, I am gazing longingly at your raindrops pic. Sigh. We are so dry that the lawns are crunchy and water reserves are low, mainly because our city has grown by many thousands in recent years. 🙁
AV, glad you don’t have rain at the moment, always nervous times when the house is open to the weather like that. Awwwwwww Caddy and the grey streak are so cute. Any idea where the grey streak comes from?
Well must get on with the days work.

Just saw that a huge tornado has hit the New Orleans area, I hope our TDKers in the area are safe.

True MS, I am sorta enigmatic!

Lagatta, just to clarify, at my fitness centre no one is losing any privileges, as in Health Club members have somewhat larger lockerettes, towel service. Just that reno will necessitate current areas to be completely redone and steam/sauna will be closed for interim. And we will all have to put up with some crowding at peak hrs, which in general does not affect me. I do agree that peeps paying more should get a better discount, but I will not be taking on any issues that in no way relate to me. Now when issues do impact me, well, you all prob know by now that I define “proactive.” 😉

Now must get back to paying (for a rare change) work. Before I call it a day.

A bit worn out from dental filling so plan (which I never really stick to) is for early night.

Finished work. Everything’s always a rush. *Sigh of relief for now*

I hear my nemesis pounding against the windows – sleet – boding freezing rain. If it srsly freezes debating whether to give course a miss. As long as I can make it to 6 p.m. spin class (should be better outside by that time) it’s good. Then again in a.m. I go out after rush hour and weather might have improved. Will have to see how other peeps are managing the sidewalks/street. On bright side, it is nice and cozy indoors and I find the sound of heavy rain soothing, as long as I’m not in it!

    Lovely meezer agrees!

We have rain ! Light rain but at least it is wet. Sadly it won’t be anywhere enough to ease the drought but it will give the gardens a respite from being totally dry.
KJ, whatever time you head to the gym please be careful. Slipping over is strictly forbidden.

Oh joy, KJ, freezing rain. *sigh*
JK, your fog has drifted this way, it’s pea soup out there!
Hi AV, glad the weather is good for you today. A job like that would be quite messy in the rain!
MS, in general it’s referred to as “the finger” or “the bird”, but around here, “The Jersey Salute” is also acceptable, as it’s routinely exchanged by Jersey drivers. Other than NawlinsCatMom, I can’t think of any other TDKr in the New Orleans area. Yuck on the hot humid weather, again.
I agree on soothing rain and being inside and cozy, KJ. I have vaulted ceilings and the sound of hard rain is so soothing to me. Alas, it seems every Tuesday when I’m headed down the valley, it’s been raining or snowing! I also echo MS, no wiping out on ice! Take it slow and easy. Yes, it’s not KJ’s style, but KJ must remind herself of basic safety rules.
Oh, meezer kitten is just too cute!
