Eeek, a mouse in the house, Comet hasn’t gotten one in a while. I used to stress to the boys that outside toys like mice need to stay out. They liked to bring them in, sigh.
Well, Leela got off the bed to have dinner, then was checking out her bed when Comet snuck up and jumped on her. She screamed and is now in her bed, facing out. He is a bit rough; I can see where she would find it annoying.
Deb, my brother spoke at my dad’s funeral, and stated that he considered himself rich. Not in money, but in family. With his 5 children and 5 grandchildren, and 10 times over with mom at his side. I’ve read some if his letters he wrote during the war and saying he was going to come home and marry that girl!
    Old people are treasures.

Great ! There is a moose loose in the hoose ! !
Mousie is not to be found at the moment. It is hiding. If my legs would allow me to get down on the floor I could look under the cabinets instead of just poking around with a long stick. Guess I will have to buy a humane mouse trap and some peanut butter as it looks like we’re in for the long haul here. Oh yes, Shadz has given up looking and is sprawled in the sun outside on the deck. She meows proudly at me when I pop my head out of the door.
Joan, Yay on Leela showing some of her old self, may it continue and LOL @ Comet and the early morning singing.Timing is not really a cats forte and don'[t I know that one at the moment.
Sitting here having lunch and doing mouse watch, in case mousie makes a run for the various ‘shelters’ I have set up.

Decided to go ahead and make the ham in the fridge for tonight, so it’s in the crockpot (brown sugar, dried mustard, horse radish and little bit of cola) and will be ready before tonight’s shift….got the fresh rolls to go along with it

I do believe Shadz thinks she brought something to entertain you, sigh. I guess she figures she’s done, so now you can play with her toy. They really don’t have a clue as to how ghastly we think some if their games are.
    Yummers on the ham, Deb!
We voted tonight, then stopped for Italian take out, my treat. I got a bacon and spinach calzone. Ate about half, and am stuffed!

Good evening all! ECB that is wonderful about your new vet. I have a female vet and she is wonderful as well, and also doesn’t believe in all the shots for our babies. She sounds very special….. YAY!!!
Joan, wonderful news about Miss Leela! The fosters were like that too. Andy would jump on Tabby and she would scream loudly!!! He would go over and butt heads with her and she backed away. He was also rough at times. But, they would sleep next to each other. He would always remind her that HE was boss! LOL
KJ, SO sorry about your BOO BOO!!! OUCHY!!! I hope it feels better quickly for you! Awwwwww….
That HRH Shadz is something else!!!!! Glad she is feeling so much better. Sad about your fish MS……
I thought we were to wash our cat bowls with vinegar? Not dish soap? I always use vinegar on their bowls, after reading about that. Hummmm…..

Mr MS will be purchasing humane mouse traps on the way home from work and I will be buying peanut butter for baiting the traps. Just hoping mousie alerts me to it’s whereabouts soon. It’s just as well I’m not afraid of mice.
Deb, your ham sounds like it will be delicious.

Hi BB! I fell asleep and now must wake up long enough to give Leela her treats, get the laundry from the dryer, and go to bed!

Oh I forgot to finish the fish story. Mr MS cooked it on the bbq but the smell was also taste so we ate a lovely fishless pumpkin curry for dinner.
Mousie still on the loose and HRH has disappeared, hopefully she’s not hunting for another mouse.
At least I have the peanut butter for baiting the humane traps when they arrive later this evening.
    Sweet dreams Joan.

Lol MS!! Shadz is so funny 🙂 ” well there ya go I brought you your dinner…. I’m off now see ya ”

I think as soon as they know we’ve seen their little presents they think “job done”

Lady Muck did this to me once with a rabbit.. Poor thing was still alive and when Lady Muck seen that I saw her she dropped it and was no longer interested so I had to put the poor rabbit out of it’s misery… On the up side it was a quick death and the dogs had a nice dinner that night.. It’s not that often your cat brings home the dogs dinner.. He was a great cat 🙂

Thought I had sent a picture of these too but brain dead me today didn’t do that, sigh…..

    Cement Cloth Planters

Go to the hardware store and buy a bag of cement, its in powder form. Take it home scoop some out and add water until it is the thickness that you want. Just like onion ring batter.

    Approximately a 1:4 water/cement ratio.

You may also want to put some drainage holes in the planter before it completely hardens to prevent cracking.

You may also want to apply a couple coats of cement sealer after the planter is dry. This is also nice due to the fact there is so many colored cement sealers now so your planter may be colored to want you would like

    A couple of other links I found….

….. LOL @ the mouse story! …. we used to get them in NC, when it was cold, the would come down the chimney when we forgot to close the flu …. luckily, Abby was a pretty good hunter and I always knew when she had a ‘prize’ because she would bring it to me, ‘singing’ all the while! LOL

… Deb, your ham sounds delish, and I am def going to try the turmeric and lysine for the Queen…..

… Son survived the ‘nasty’ hostel room he had in Paris, and only has one more night, then of to Brussels….. thank goodness the Viber app allows us free text/calls and he can send me a location message as he goes along ….. Mothers do have to stay in touch!

Morning AV 🙂 Very cool on the Viber app and that you are able to have free text/calls from your Son. Good experience for him 🙂

Knock on wood, no mooses in the hooses here so far…..now lizards, well that is a different story.

The ham was very good, just the bone left and that is going to Natalie’s dogs 🙂
