Not even smart to have the windows down, unfortunately even the tour operator with this woman had his window down….would think he knew better.
I like this comment on the attack:
I saw a “big cat” trainer a few years ago talking about what to watch… the eyes… As I recall… with a lion when you see that look you’ve got three seconds… with a tiger when you see that look you’ve got two seconds… with a leopard when you see that look you are dead!

In other words if you don’t know how to “read the eyes” make sure that you have something very solid between you and a big cat.

Morning all! …. sad story about the lion … that guy should have known better! ….

well, this town is ‘Lightning Crazy’ ….. they had to cancel the Garth Brooks concert, because of the playoffs, but so far, all the Brooks fans interviewed are ok with it, cause they’ll either get rescheduled or refunded, and they LOVE the Lightning!!! (I thought there would be a lot of negative press, but who knew!?)

I have no sympathy for the woman. She was told what to do/not do and disregarded those rules. The tour operator should be fired. Read their eyes? I hate it when “professionals” put this kind of information out. Alas KZ-I’m sure you’ve heard that common sense is not so common. I didn’t see the video KZ. I haven’t updated my Adobe Flash.

It’s going to be 88f/31c. I’ve been sleeping in now that mom’s here. She will feed my furballs so they give a few more minutes to sleep in. 🙂 Uh, oh-a squirrel family has taking up residence in the Pine tree in the front yard and it’s driving my furballs crazy! Esp. when they saunter across the porch.

KJ, too bad you didn’t get the curry for the chicken salad, as for me it *makes* the salad. It isn’t a strong curry flavor, but very yummy and the sweetness of the grapes sets it off too. Congrats on yet another street find (how do you do it?) it sounds like a wonderful find too!
PG, hope you are enjoying your mom’s visit, I too would like to sleep in, but it’s not in the cards for me with Avery coming so early. Found myself asleep after lunch with her in my arms napping too, LOL! And what is it about rodents that make cats go crazy watching them outside? My cats chitter and chirp like crazy when they can see a chipmunk or squirrel!

Oh thank god I’m back in the cafe 🙂 I was having withdrawal symptoms 😆

Have to agree with PG about not having much sympathy for that woman.. I feel sorry for the people that had to witness it and her family. But come on …!! the number one rule for EVERY safari in the world is keep doors and windows shut at all times! Not only did she risk her own life but everyone’s in the car and but the animals around her at risk of being shot in defence of the woman and believe me the lives of those lions are more important to me than a persons I’m sorry if that sounds harsh..

Yes KJ that’s Buttons and Nutini .. I love that picture it shows how inseparable they were… His anniversary is only 13 days away it’s getting hard 🙁

Been busy with work and friends wedding that’s only 18 days away now ! Will be delighted when it’s all done and dusted 🙂 managed to go out hunting for an injured stray dog too this evening … Didn’t find it 🙁 wish I had there were reports of it having a badly mangled leg … I still have all my catching equipment in the car incase I get a call on a sighting …

I wana stay in cafe for ages now internet is workin a little but my eyes won’t stay open …
