    Town Terrorized by Turkeys

SACRAMENTO, CA — A trio of wild turkeys are terrorizing a California cemetery.

The birds are part of a larger flock that has taken up residence near the Davis Cemetery and seem intent on protecting their turf.

Residents living near the cemetery say the birds are aggressive and frequently chase anyone who comes near them.

Eight-year-old Thomas Donaldson says the turkeys have chased him several times while he was riding his bike near the cemetery.

“I ran home to my dad so I can be safe and not get near these evil little creatures,” Thomas explained.

Roger Spangler says he’s often had to use his bicycle as a shield against the turkeys.

“I don’t get chased off, I stand off,” said Roger.

So far the turkeys haven’t actually attacked anyone, but wary hikers, bikers and cemetery visitors say they’re keeping their distance.

Wildlife officials say the turkeys aren’t a real danger, but they will remove them if complaints continue to mount.

We have wild turkeys that roam in our neighborhood which is quite wooded. They can be very aggressive and have been known to chase/attack cars. The flock gets relocated when it gets too big.
