It’s 5pm here and I need a drink! Of course, I can’t have one, so I am setting for iced tea.

I took Maddie over Grandmas this morning and we were having a great time. Maddie was following her Papa around doing this and that and he was unloading the truck with the tailgate down and went back over to the tailgate when Maddie ran right into the tailgate. She fell back and hit the concrete. Grandma and I screamed and I ran over to her in a heartbeat, needless to say she was crying and screaming. I held her and tried to see the damage as grandma ran inside for some ice. After she calmed down she has a lump and bruise right between the eyes on the bridge of her nose. Luckily she didn’t hurt her eyes.

Can someone have a Kaluha and cream for me 🙂

Awww, poor Maddie! She sure is keeping you on your toes, CM. Hope this turns out to be no worse than her last big bump.

I’d have the Kahlua and cream for you CM but as its only 9.15am here I’d better not hit the booze just yet! Glad Maddie is not badly wounded – I ran into a sheet of roofing iron when I was about 4 and gashed my eyebrow – ended up with stitches.

CM, sorry to hear Maddie hurt herself! But I’m also glad to hear that a lump & bruise is the worst damage she suffered.

Poor Maddie, sounds like you need to put one of those catcher’s mask on her head with the face cover and soft padding. 🙂

Ahhh.. CM. I know the anxious feeling of which you speak. This will not be the last time she does something like this ! Sorry…. just won’t be. Glad to hear she is OK.

OK… I got a lump on my forehead because I was so tired last night, I didn’t get into my car very well. Smacked my forehead getting in… probably couldn’t do it again… at least I hope I won’t !!

This is the 2nd time in 2 weeks 2p. The first lump just disappeared. Adds color to her face..lol

Ouch, I have smacked my head on the car too. That smarts for sure. I hope you don’t do it again either 🙂

Yep… and I raised 2 boys. Constantly bumped, bruised or bleeding… lol

It sounds cold, but you eventually do stop have the ‘heart stopping’ moments. I was unbelievably calm when my son broke his arm in the 1st grade…

Oh.. I’d love a kahlua and cream too… but, sadly I’m still at work. 🙁

CM I am having a nice martini(you can substitute the drink for your favorite) for you! I am so sorry she was hurt. You know it seems they bounce back so quick but when they are hurting it almost rips you apart!

Thanks SM. I told my mother in law, it was worse seeing it happen. The bruise and lump are not as bad as the one 2 weeks ago and she seems to be fine. But to see her hurt like that tore me apart.

Deuter is hypnotizing me with his eyes 🙂 Give me treats!

I just gave him treats–the kind with the mellow me stuff in it. He is a total terror! I give him 2 everyday and he is doing a little better. When he gets fixed I am hoping to see better behavior. He just scattered the mail everywhere!!! Gonna find a cage and send him to kitty prison in about 2 seconds.

Hi CM, I’m glad Maddie is ok, just the evidence to show for being a normal toddler. Lots of hugs and kisses will help. I saw KK when she cut her eyebrow and I seem to remembering screaming for Mum and Dad. She also drank a glass of potentially harmful liquid from her cousins science experiment. Again I screamed for help(I was only young too). My screamed scared her and she spat it out and didn’t swallow it. A quick trip to the hospital and check up showed she was ok, but she ruined her beautiful dress with an appliqued cat on it. Come to think of it KK was my training for when I had children. 😉
