Definitely not a funeral. Not sure what was up. It is also growing very dark here. Guess that means the weather guy might be right–scattered storms before noon. We always can use the rain–just hope the lightning stays away–too much of our state is still on fire!

Going at 2pm today to be poke proded and tested for my new job. Looking forward to starting. 🙂 Air is up here and not running but not off atm, much too hot for that in Hotlanta today, at least for my husband so I have to set it where it will kick on once in a while because he starts to melt if it gets over 75 lol

Wow, finally…g’morning to all…nice to see a busy cafe! Cooler & gloomy in brewtown today as a welcome change from the hot/humid last 3 days. My boys were even a bit snuggly this morning! Bizzy today so grabbing a cuppa joe & back I go but first a smooch for Tux. Hope to be back later.

Just was sent a link to the bus monitor that was bullied by students. I cried–it is reality. What makes a child that ugly–it was a crying shame!

Oyy, need a warmer on my joe…continuing w/Thoorsday’s fun.

Oh my, bullying by anyone is terrible. One of bosses daughter was brunt of bullying challenges at school this past year. (Sad at only 14 with regular teen related challenges too!)

JK I think it is worse in middle school, that 12-15 age, because they are trying to fit in somewhere and have some sort of power and control. Seems that they don’t understand that power and control isn’t the same as belittling and humiliating. Speaking up and holding bullies accountable helps, but those bullied need skills to strengthen them and restore confidence, and those bullied need to look at why they bully and fix the issues which are normally easier said than done as they really need to relearn behavior and get to the root of their pain. It is sad because everyone is hurt.

I need another cup of coffee too. Today I will be simple–vvacuum and dust, but nothing major planned. Daughter will be home sometime today to clean the back porch. I have some mending that has been put off, so I think I might get to that today.

Reading Michael Scott’s series The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel. Finished The Alchemyst and have about 100pages on The Magician, so I want to finish that and start the third The Sorceress. I like the series so far–students introduced me–and I read about anything put in front of me!

Yes, I agree. I do think she is going for counseling for it was quite dramatic as to maybe even change schools after end of this Spring session.

Now to more fun subject as “Leader of the Pack” stripey Alert on Main Page!

(Grabs another cup of Fr. Vanilla Java…later!)

I was bullied for most of my life until I got away from my hometown. Is someone going to give me $100,000? I think it’s lovely that people want to show sympathy & support for the woman, but the money part seems weird to me.

Pretty sure this is a pay off to keep her from filing suit Kilroy. She could not only sue the parents, but the school district for this harrassment. The driver didn’t even stop it, nor did the driver pull over. In a way this adult driver was sanctioning the abuse. It is all on video and would be horrible to see–she certainly would get more money in punitive damages. I think it is all sick! Those parents need to deal with whatever issue their children have–preferably before they continue this behavior. Unfortunately in many cases this behavior is learned from parents who are only “making fun and playing it itsn’t serious” but if it happened to them they would be up in arms. People keep saying zero tolerance for bullying–yet it is still in the news constantly. Bullying may never end, but how it is reacted to can be–these kids should be held accountable, but chances are they will be only told, “Don’t do that again.”

No, according to news reports the money’s been raised through a web site that was set up to raise money to send her on a nice vacation; once the story spread the donations kept coming and now it’s over $100,000. Like I said, I don’t have a problem with people wanting to be nice to her & show her that not all people are awful, but it seems like a weird way to end up with a windfall.

My mood’s all over the place right now. I have tons going on so I’ll weigh in on the bad and the good. NJ has hard-core anti-bullying laws. I’m the district liaison to bus companies and this happens a bit too often. It’s sad, adults can’t touch the children, understandably, but children can taunt adults to tears/anger.

On the flip side, Leader Of The Pack is AMAZING!!!

………. made a really yummy lemon chicken receipe yesterday, fresh field peas and a nice salad…………. will probably have left overs tonight……….. Dau is coming in tomorrow, and she has ‘ordered’ tacos for dinner, so that suits me!………….. it’s been gray all day here so far, but no drops yet…………. watch it wait until Mr. AV gets out on the golf course and tees off …. hehehehehehehe

I have to say as I have been vacuuming I had kitten-cam on so I could smile while working!! It was so much fun to do mundane chores!! It is so overcast here AV, but I don’t think this will produce rain. Makes me sad, but as long as no lightning I am good! I turned the air on when it hit 82 inside.

I have some hamburger left over, so I thought I would make a mini meatloaf. I have a few mushrooms and green onions–I think I can get creative! It is either that or another salad–but I need to use the rest of the hamburger.
