Good Morning all! It is hot and sticky here in the USA. The a/c is on full blast and the kits are in shorts. The buffet is light with fresh fruits, yogurts and pastries. On the southern hemisphere side there is a roaring fire burning to keep you warm. Here’s wishing you a great day, I am off to work but wanted to say “Hello”!

Good morning MC and CSBM, I definitely have a fire going this evening although it’s not that cold, more wet than anything.

May I have a small pastry please and I’m heading to the fountain with my glass.

Morning everyone!…………….. promises to be a wet day here too (yay!)…… I am astounded watching the weather report this morning, looks like much of the USA will be experiencing my usual heat wave!……… I hope those in the northern parts stay hydrated……….. that’s the most important thing when living in HOT areas!

I can’t wait for Dau to come home this weekend, she has finally been ‘bitten’ by the love of cooking bug and want’s to try some new receipes! and my garden is blooming with an abundant of beautiful spices to use!………. my basil plant is HUGE, I’m thinking we will definitely need to make a nice pesto…….. MS did you decide what to do with your shark fin melons? from googling them, it seems the might have somewhat of a sweet taste?

Hi AV, I gave some away to a friend of Mum’s and she made some jam very successfully from one and it’s tastes fine so I guess there will be jam making going on sometime soon(ish). I still have over 40 left here but it looks like they store well. I must check on them as they are in the girls old play house at the bottom of the garden and mice could get in. We now are calling it the Melon house, sounds quaint and interesting.

wow 40 melons!…… that must have been a bumper crop!….. well done!……. jam is always a good idea………. I still think a cool soup would be nice, but then again it’s summer here, and we eat a lot of chilled soups when it’s hot………. always hard for me to imagine you all lighting fires and freezing when my temps are pushing the triple digits! ………. do they freeze well? can you slice and freeze some for a soup in January?

I don’t know if the melon flesh can freeze or not, that’s something I need to find out.

I’m heading to bed now, everyone have a great day.

Early morning, late evening everyone. Not here for long, the monitor screen is too bright for this headache. Just wanted to wish everyone a good day.

Night MS!……… Deb, you need an eye-pillow! I use mine all the time when I want to sleep on bright sunny days…….. plus the silken feel and lavendar scent is always so calming………..

…. time for me to get going too!……… have a great day everyone!!

Morning, all. Headed for 97 here today (wah!), so I’m going to melt going to & from that place & then freeze in between 🙁 Showering is probably an exercise in pointlessness, but I guess I have to make the effort.

    Back later, probably.

AV, I have a few different eye pillows, usually they help but not today. Have a good day 🙂

    Morning Kilroy.

Hi, all, just looking in between exercycling (first time for a while) and heading to bed. Deb, gentle hugs to you for your headache, I wish I could kick its butt for you. Have a great day, everyone!

Hi everyone – hoping for a better day today. It’s quieter; hopefully will stay that way.

Wish I was able to stop by the night shift last night – a summer bbq sounded good. Maybe there will be another one soon!

Kilroy his friends base is in FL–went through this with my Dad after all the years in FL–he wanted to not move near his child but back to his friend base in MI. My Grandmother wants nothing more than to return to FL where her friends are located.

KH I have the air off too and the ceiling fans on, but I fear when the temps creep into the 100s this afternoon, I will have to turn the air back on. My that plane was so low? Doesn’t make sense the planes never fly on this side of the town–neither from the airstrip or the base. Very odd.

MIL did something like that too.

Glad you and JRoc had a good time, KH!

I wonder what’s up with the aircraft, SM? A funeral flyover, perhaps? Anyway, stay cool. The air is on here, and barring a power outage, will stay on till at least tomorrow, when some storms may roll in. I don’t like running stuff when there’s t-storms.

I may have to resort to A/C also this afternoon or evening…but for now, I am enjoying the fresh air!!!
