Today’s the day to play Touch Tag, probably the most popular game of all time, allegedly having been played as far back as Ancient Egypt.

PG, that “Tag, you’re lunch” pic! 😥 I know circle of life, and a tuna sammie doesn’t quite cut it for the big cats, but still, poor wee gazelle!
I was so NOT one for any sort of team sport when I was a kid, and would probably still feel the same today.
Meant to mention yesterday that I hope that your tree branch injuries are not srs and that cuts/ bruising fades in no time, leaving nary a trace of encounter.
Dorry says tks and adds that Miss Moppet can visit his new digs anytime, there’s ample room for two. And no, he did not ask me purrmission, but when does he ever? But, who can deny the boy when he gives me “the look” that he purrfected as kitten. Off to start day that appears to be chilly at least for now.

Good morning! I like to try and catch up a bit before I chime in, but lately by the time I catch up on the cafe, I’ve been off to do something else. I’ve missed you guys!

I like the exasperated doggie….even my five year old cats seem to need more playtime than I can give them. Leo is a tough one because he could use a release valve for his nervous energy, but he’s the hardest one to get interested in playing. It would be ideal if I had a safe way to get him some outside time, I think. Or maybe that would just increase his anxiety…another world to feel like he needs to control.

Hubby is in California for a conference this week. Youngest son requested chicken curry for dinner tonight. Daddy doesn’t care for curry so we try to eat it when he’s out of town. :). Friday night we take chicken and dumplings over to my aunt’s house. Uncle is recovering from knee surgery. Oh, and he loves nuts, so I’m making GD’s holiday nuts today to,bring him some almonds. :).

KJ, was wondering if Dorry tired of his new bed that you made for him or is he still using it as his ‘main’ bed?! Love his new hidey hole where DVD player once lived.
PG, hope your brush/stick encounter left you scarless, and hope the stick took more of a beating than you did!

When Comet was a baby he and Leela did play for a few weeks before Leela got sick. He would chase after her and we captioned him yelling “You’re it, haha!”, then a moment later he would be running back with Leela hot on his tail with him shouting “You’re not it, you’re not it!”

Well, KZ, seems that at present Dorry prefurrs his new “condo,” however his other bed is still at his disposal should he care to use it. He gets 2 beds, I get one, unless the futon counts and I have slept on it when the inspiration seized me. Or when sleep overtook me.
So I just bought the boy a spanking new commode as his much washed one was beginning to look shoddy after 5 yrs. Stressing out as to whether he’ll take to it. Gave it a wash with usual detergent, filled it with his used litter, rubbed it with his blankie. He seems to have checked it out, ie sniffed/rubbed his nosey all around it. Did I mention that my obsessiveness vies for equal time with my sarcasm? Called vet and they said I did the right things and to just give him time as kits just need to know that box is where it always is and they should naturally use it. Even placed him in it, which was not nice on my part. Could it be that he just does not yet feel the urge? Same brand as the old one, ginormous closed model, with door flap removed. He’s a slim jim but he likes a big bathroom, just like KJ. 😉 Probably good that I’m heading on out for pm, last thing the boy needs is my fretting over him. But I will feel more at ease once he officially “anoints” it *Sighs*
I do my self-designed curry with sauce consisting of milk, butter, curry powder, garlic, parsley and paprika plus dash or cornstarch heated in micro. Then I micro some faux chicken strips. Pour sauce over and let it soak for few hrs or overnight. Then throw the whole mess over rice and re-heat. IMHO not bad.

Hey, here’s yesterday’s share from lunchtime walk:

🙂 Not sure what they are but looked pretty in sunlight.
Today it’s now overcast but still nice – had a quick pleasant walk as lunchtime fun.

So spotted li’l tabby cat yest eve. May put out trap later in eve but close it up before too late/dark.
Shied away from idea originally for more that just kits around. Didn’t want to trap a possum/raccoon instead of wee kit.

OK, now where’s Tux – hmm, hey kitteh where are you? Oh, on the cafe couch…mwah/smooch for you, later all!

That’s a good idea, JK! I do that when I switch out Abby’s boxes, altho she doesn’t seem to have any problem transitioning, as long as I keep it in the same place …. and I also always use the same litter mix ….

Afternoon all! Have a good swim PG! … cute Lil’bit and Miss Moppet! … and of course, Gaea, like Abby is a ‘cool Diva’ … and some things are just ‘beneath’ them! LOL ….. I would say Luna also fits that category … Ve – no filters whatsoever! LOL … she’ll do ANYTHING – wise or not so wise! LOL … mostly not!

*waves* to everyone! … hope your Thursdays were productive, my was (thankfully!) …. I love curry too! … Mr. AV will eat it in small amounts and sporadic times …. I don’t push it, but I absolutely love it! … so does Dau!

A ‘no cook’ night for me (yay!) …. we’re headed to our country club for ‘all you can eat Shrimp night’ …. the best in town! …. a perk of living on the Gulf coast 😉

Oh yeah, litter box fun/NOT – hee, hee, Luck & Scoot are not pickey but Flamer Crock IS!
I have 3 litter boxes for Da Boyz & 2 Boxes for Scoot…

Anyways it’s Thursday – yay, with 45 min to go!
Heading home for some mostly indoor KP but if it’s not drizzling will air out Crockey too.
May head to local outpost for “Nan” Pizza – fresh w/basil, tomatoes & cheese- I usually add feta too = yum!
Wishes for all to enjoy rest of today.

***There was a litter of 6 Tuxedo kittens born in a boat the was taken out on Lake Ontario They sure had a good ride Then when owner came back to shore heard mews I went and took them, tried to get mommy Boots interested but she said NOPE Tuxedo kittens are very clever What a job bottle feeding 6 7 day olds 2 weeks of every 4 or 5 hours*** Kudos for foster hoomin!

Enjoy your exercise at the pool, PG. I really missed ours this year. Nearest gym w/ pool is about a half hour away – wouldn’t make good use of it, especially in winter when it’s icy and I’m settled in my cozy home on the mountain. Guess I’ll keep walking!
Oh KH, you are so not obsessive. *said with sarcasm punctuated by exaggerated eye-roll & matching smirk* I’m sure you’ll see Dorry’s handiwork in the litterbox when you get home. Your faux chicken curry sounds good!

Good morning all.
I did wonder what Touch tag was but I guess it is what we call ‘tiggy’ here. Chase someone and touch them and then they are ‘he’ or it and it’s their turn to give chase and tag someone. I have no idea of the reasons behind the names ‘tiggy’ and ‘he’ but that’s the phrasing from my childhood. Loved playing Tiggy as I could run fast and dodge very well.
PG, for some reason all your pics show up as photo not found – click for photo but pics are not there when I click for them. Whhhhaaaaa I am missing so many great pics. 😥
Internet is terrible here today and I am lucky to got the Cafe to load. Lost it totally for quite some time lastnight.
ECB, good to see you, you have been missed lately. Mmmmm, chicken curry. I do like a curry but Mr MS doesn’t so I seldom get one. I am however slowly desensitizing him to the flavour with very very mild curries that aren’t really curries. My stealth mode worked with flying colours with garlic, he is a big fan of garlic now. What they don’t know can’t hurt them. 😆

Indeed it is International Sarcasm Month all month!
I did use that old litter ruse JK and tks. Awesome share of half-dozen well-dressed kittehs!
In any case shortly after I arrived home and after a frantic call to vet Dorry pooped in new box. Yup, never thought I’d get excited about poop but here I am eating my words prior to eating noms as should try to do earlier than usual (a resolution yet to be resolved.) Assumption is that since he felt “at home” enough to do one function, pee will follow, if there wasn’t already some in previous function. OK TMI. I am fortunate that staff at my vet’s has the infinite patience that I seem to require. They also told me that the more that I stress out over things the more Dorry stresses out and they cautioned me to be more chill.
Another amazing gift from the streets. Just yesterday night I said to universe that I needed picture to fill space on LR wall as left by picture which I had to relocate to bthrm. On way to appt this pm found an entire selection! I took the nicest one, frame matches my found coffee table purrfectly, plus it had a backing and wire in place. Took it with me fortunately as on way home checked again and all the others were gone. So now I have my Van Gogh reproduction of one of his “Irises.” Larger pic to its left is also street find. As is table. Toss cushions are homemade from Dollar Store table runners. Synchronicity prevails!

KJ, did you do the TDK poop happened happy dance? We celebrate poop on TDK. 😀
Wow, your street finds and homemade items look fantastic and only us TDKers know their heritage. I am still so envious of your street finds they just are not happening here unless it’s manky old mattresses which are never claimed by anyone and eventually the council collect and dispose of them which is what the dumpers are after anyway – free collection.
Lunchtime here and I have made a yummy Greek salad with pomegranate arils and some cold chicken added for protein.
Shadz is hinting that some of the chicken should find it’s way into her mouth. 🙄

WOW! I was actually able to get in here on Internet Explorer for the first time in months!!! Have been using Chrome each time.
The sweet little Downey chirped and went into the birdhouse at 6:20pm, just like last night. I had the window open cause it was so warm and lovely out again! Rain expected tomorrow on my day off… 🙁 Looks like not until 3pm though. Hope so!! PM thunderstorms likely…… I’m sure we need it. But, small hail and gusty winds are a possibility! OH, NO! There goes the pretty leaves again! 🙁
Stouffers pizza was on sale for $1.99 this week so guess what I had for dinner? Mmm… Mmmm… good! Haven’t had that in years! I also bought broccoli, to have with it, but didn’t make it. Was too hungry when I got home and didn’t take the time. Maybe tomorrow.
Both cats have been enjoying their “nests” and happily stay in their own now… No more fighting over Gavin’s nest! LOL
ECB.. so nice to see you. I have missed you too! How sweet of you to make Great Dane’s nuts for Uncle. He will LOVE them! Plus, a yummy dinner and good company! I also like curry chicken over rice.
KJ.. SO glad Dorry like’s his new box!
