…. another 80 degree day here, beautiful – purrrfect weather! ….. finally decided what I want for Hanukkah/Christmas, Mr. AV has been asking for a while – a new grill! …. we grill outdoors almost year round here, and mine is old/nasty ….. of course, I’ll have to pick it out, but I’m excited! … nothing too fancy, it doesn’t need to chop the vegetables for me or anything …. just something reliable and easy to use and clean …. can’t wait!

Hi AV and Elena! We bought a new grill for our anniversary this past August, a treat well worth it as we grill year round too. (We even have an official “grillin’ parka”, which was my dad’s – I think he’d be proud.) At the time I thought about not buying new accessories and getting them for hubby’s b-day instead (which is coming up fast, yikes!), but it made sense to buy a cover and we needed new utensils. I just picked up a veggie/kabob holder though.
Mac did indeed spend the night indoors again. He has not been outdoors in over a week! Taking all 3 for their leukemia booster shots this morning. Leela has already taken her calming treats, so hopefully the visit will be quick and low drama!
Not much in the line of Christmas prep yet, but after getting a few mandatory things done, I’m looking forward to getting into the holiday spirit!

Joan, I’m indeed requesting a cover for the grill too! …. part of what I’m sure deteriorated the old one so, was that we didn’t have a cover, and just the outdoor pollen/dirt was a mess ….. I have good grilling utensils & accessories, a variety of nice grilling baskets for fish, veggies, etc. so I don’t really need any of those ….. now that I’ve decided that’s what I want, I’m all over the internet shopping 🙂

Yea, Mac stayed inside again. Slowly, ever so slowly (jelly beans crossed) Mac becomes a true indoor kittah.

I discovered an easier way to put kittahs back into carriers, Joan. Place the carrier on the floor horizontally. Put said kittah in the carrier, butt first and quickly close the door. They’re already offended by being at the vet so what’s a bit more offense? I’m glad Lucky reminded us of his birthday (as if he’d let us forget.) 🙂

I don’t grill but my nephew does year around. And I thought he was the only snow bunny griller. My favorite holiday movie is “The Bells of St. Mary” with Bing Crosby and Ingrid Bergman. I don’t know that it’s a Christmas movie, per se.

I’m going swimming now and then baking some more cookies. Today, it’s Pabernodder (Danish Peppernut cookies). I have much fluffy supervision but I believe I saw noses peeking in through the wormhole.
