Hi all, ROTFL at the first pic, the mutt must have had a hard head as that is quite a bend in the hammer.
Loving the cat sitting on the retriever to look out the window.
Yay ECB, furniture moving in day! ! LOL at the cat tree being first in.
KZ I envy you the hummers, we don’t have them here in NZ but when daughter was living in LA she would turn her puter on them so I could watch them at her feeder.
AV, I hope you can get some relief from your allergies quickly.
Buttons, fingers crossed that Noodles would heals up by Monday. OMG! Queen Nutini, she rules the roost now and is training her hoomin. Get used to it Buttons. she is coming out of her shell.
Joan, it really does sound like Leela and Nutini have been chatting and comparing notes, long may they continue to do so if this is the result so far. I’m proud of both the furry girls.
    Love the upside down Tuxie.
It’s a beautiful sunny Winter’s day here, I have the washing out on the line and HRH is sprawling on the balcony now that she has ‘read’ the scents left by her night time visitors. Seems the black fluffy suitor is back, setting off the security lights during the evening and also yakking on the front porch. Lovely – NOT. She is not at all impressed with his efforts to impress her.

    Hi all,
Buttons, hope that all goes well for poor Noodle, he’s had to go through so much in such a short time and such a brave wee boy! Could it possibly be that Miss Nutini is ever-so-slightly jealous of Noodle and that’s why she’s getting closer to you? In any case, as in who knows what kits think, I tend to think they think as we do, it’s all good!
MS, sounds like you must be feeling better as back to chores. Or as women in general, nothing gets in way of having to do chores. But hope it’s the former.
Sounds like HRH’s dashing black furry suitor is leaving his calling card, of a sort. But setting off security lights? ROTFL
ECB glad move is moving along.
Speaking of chores, I finally just sat down after on the go day. And could have used “Hazel”. Met friend for coffee (tea and Perrier actually), she gave me lift home and on way we stopped to pick me up another street score that was still waiting for me after several hours, as when I first noticed it. Pine medicine cabinet with glass shelves, perfect condition with IKEA sticker on it, and yes it was put out for recycling. So it’s on floor for knitting yarn storage, freeing up under bed drawers for other eventual storage.
We also picked up bag of litter. Dorry “helped” by tearing into bag while I was arranging things. So out came the dust pan to clean up spilled litter in entry and hallway. Then had to lift the stupid 35 lb bag not once but twice to get it into another bag and stop the leakage. I am not made for this. And when I asked “Hazel” for help her snarky reply was “I don’t do …” (anything you ask)”.
Whatever. With added cabinet it seems like sadly Dorry will have to relinquish his under bed lair as I don’t think there is a way that he can get in, although he might surprise me. LOL.

Grrrrrrrrr, just heard muffled meowing and knew instantly what it meant. HRH has caught something – and let it loose in the diningroom.
She has a skink/gecko which is now hiding despite both HRH Shadz and I having a thorough hunt for it. She did this last week too and I found the critter hiding in my house plants when I put them outside to take advantage of falling rain. I hope this weeks critter is just as smart.
KJ, nice street score again, one of the benefits of living in the city. Dorry will find a way in and you will be surprised. Save your back if Dorry rips the litter bag again and duct tape the tears closed.
Oh that Hazel is a snarky strumpet isn’t she. If she actually did some work I would have her back here so I don’t have to struggle with the cleaning while I’m recovering but it’s easier to struggle than get annoyed with her. At least we have a glorious day, sunshine in Winter is a real spirit lifter.

    Tks MS,
The ingenious duct tape! Now why didn’t I think of that?
Could it be possible that HRH was rounding up a critter for a romantic dinner with Mr. Fluffy Black Kit? I know, not funny and truth is that I would have a major and total freak out if I found anything crawling here that should by rights be outside, aside from the occasional housefly or spider that somehow gets in and that Dorry wholly or partially takes care of, leaving me to enact the “coup de grace”.
Anyway I’m off to scrounge some noms for Dorry and myself – no critters involved, so catch you L8R!

I don’t mind the critter and will happily pick it up if I can but I don’t like it when they sink their tiny teeth into the rescuers digits. That hurts.
She doesn’t like black fluffy and will spurn his advances, I think the skink/gecko was a ‘get well’ gift, she knows I like them, it’s just I prefer them outside sunning themselves on the rocks. Silly girl.
Just scrounging noms for lunch myself.

Hello to everyone! Yes, the hummers are keeping me hopping making their sugar water and filling the feeders. I have gobs of flowers which they enjoy, but why work so hard when you can stop by the feeder? Now the babies are making their way to them, they are so sweet and tiny!
It’s wonderful that Nutini has started coming out of her shell~she is the brave one after all. And as it goes, she doesn’t want Noodle getting all the attention. I hope his little incision heals up so he doesn’t have to get stitched again, poor little guy.
It’s so good reading everyone’s posts, haven’t been up to typing much after losing Jakie. Really knocked me and actually all of us for a loop. I went to the mailbox yesterday and all along the road in front of the house I found pieces of car parts where they hit him. Looks like their front light is history and part of their bumper. It’s probably a good thing that I didn’t get downstairs and out the door fast enough that night, or Mr. KZ may have been bailing me out of jail. But at least he’s buried here on the farm and the girls brought out an engraved stone for his grave.
KJ, love your stories of big city living! It’s like an adventure to me to listen to your street finds. I hear you on the kitty litter, I can’t believe how heavy that crap is! I switched to the light stuff only to quickly switch back to the good old heavy litter after suffering through smelly litterboxes and a bad bout with allergies because of the ridiculous DUST! I mean it was literally on EVERYTHING!
Love the pic of the upside down tux, reminds me of Willow. One of these days, I’ll figure out the picture thingy, I have so many to share.

Advice to live by: if it moves and shouldn’t, duct tape it. If it doesn’t move and should, oil it.
I am so happy for Nutini, she has made such strides in such a short time! Leela is indeed getting brave, but is visibly disappointed when she wants to follow me into the bathroom only to discover Comet already there. When he is not there and she does come in, I close the door tight so he can’t ambush her, and he does, every chance he gets.
Shadz’s goodwill gesture is sweet, even though icky. Hope the critter is smart and hiding in the plants. I don’t often ask for Hazel anymore, when she does show, she usually lays on my couch cackling and eats all my ice pops.
Hey KJ, you find the coolest stuff! I’m on the hunt for a particular item, and if we lived closer, I’d hire you to find it for me!
Just got home from a lovely restaurant in my hometown. Had dinner with mom, brother, sister and brother in law. Several peeps from the animal shelter and friends of animals were there too. A portion of this evening’s proceeds from participants will go to the shelter. So although we were stuffed, we had to have dessert – “it’s for the animals!”

Yes Joan – it’s for the animals so worth every delicious bite. And you wouldn’t have to pay me for anything I’d find, I get a huge kick out of my street scores and that’s payment enough! As long as you are willing to provide the transportation as there are some things my bldg shopping cart will not quite work for LOL.
KZ, if you ever want to post pics, you can do as you did with pic of Willow, I linked to Photobucket, copied pic to my bucket and posted it. I would do this again and eventually when you have the time Photobucket can be figured out. If I did it anyone can. In the meantime the offer’s there.
Well now I really must eat something as Dorry got fed but I did not and passing out is never pretty. I believe Maine Coon will keep you company ’til the next peeps arrive, Joan!

Wow. Our movers were awesome. Only two of them…they really needed more…but they were done by 4:30. Cats seem really happy to have their stuff back and remembered the old routines quickly. Saw Emily and Leo, at separate times, on the top perch of the cat tree and wondered if they thought of Lucy. Right now the cat tree is in front of the patio doors. Might leave it there, not many options. I bet it will get a lot more use if so…nice view of the back yard.

Always enjoy reading of Nutini’s and Leelas progress! Good girls!

Hey ECB, if you wondered if Emily and Leo thought of Lucy, then I strongly believe they did.
