Hey everyone … Waves across several ponds 🙂

Internet has been sporadic of late… Hope this posts…

Joan so sweet of you to think of that poor cat … Kittyzee I’d love to see a pic of little monster Avery 🙂

Oh KJ we never got involved in pranks when I was young .. We did however have huge bonfires that the older kids would start to assemble in June! We lived in a rural community in the Wicklow mountains maybe 20 kids total and all the parents would get together and as a group we’d all go to each house 10 houses total and then head to the bonfire in Billy Crawls field and all the kids and parents would sit on blankets through the night and let off fireworks that were illegally brought in from the north of Ireland 🙂 ( fireworks are illegal in Ireland )
Halloween was such a big thing for us!! And I’m sure you all ready might know but Halloween originates from Ireland.. In fact it’s more Irish than St Patricks day 🙂

Hey ECB.. Hand is doing much better thank you for asking.. My arm on the other hand is another matter! The tetanus shot was Infact worse than the cat bite ! I had a bad reaction to both the tetanus shot and the antibiotics and felt so lousy but thankfully I’m feeling normal again tonight 🙂

    Hey Buttons,
Glad you’re feeling better and yeah, sometimes shots seem worse than what they prevent. Got pneumovax shot last year and arm felt like I’d gone several rounds of boxing with my poor arm as punching bag. Called nurse and was told reaction was normal!

So yes I do know about Irish origins of H’ween. But for all who are interested here’s more info and all the intricate details as:

OMG, was just sitting at laptop surfing when I heard, through closed widow, a huge crash. Dorry jumped, as did I. Car crash, one car completely totaled, front door smashed like accordian. At least peeps were on scene immediately, some directing traffic, others going to aid. Opening window heard that someone is very badly injured, I can only imagine. Finally police, ambulance and fire dept have arrived. Hope that injured person will be OK. And of course there are the usual amount of gawkers, including one woman in bathrobe and it’s way cold out, and someone taking pics with cell, don’t want to judge, perhaps for insurance purposes. Does not look good as fire dept seems to be getting out tools to take car apart as they cannot get injured person out. Scary how these things can suddenly happen seemingly out of nowhere. Blessings that person makes it and that injury is not life threatening.

Ah yes, the tetanus shot to the deltoid, ouch. Been a few years for me but one tends to tember such things. Hope it wasn’t on your dominant arm.
Glad you are feeling better, Buttons, that was some owchie, but hey, it was for the kitty.

Hi, KJ. Hope that injured person is okay. Not the kind of excitement you want outside your window.

Glad your hand isn’t getting infected, Butons. That stinks that the shot gave you a reaction though. One of the things I’ve learned from TDK….cat bites can be super serious…so glad this one isn’t looking like it is leading to infection.

Wow KJ, how frightening, I hope everyone will be okay. Things sure can change in an instant.
The accidental bite from Leela a few years ago was my first experience with an infected cat bite. Thankfully I didn’t wait too long. When I googled it I went right to the ER and got meds.

I’m high up as top floor, sound travels, but this is big accident, person still not out of car as yet. Why hordes of people have to stand around and watch is beyond me, yes I am looking to see if person is rescued soon, but I am not on site in the way of first responders. Finally got person out of car and into ambulance, looks like injury is quite severe. Car of course is for the scrap heap. Street is badly lit, but reminds me to take care even when walking at night.
Mentioned this some time back, but when I was 7 was in country and leg was gored open by beautiful white feral with suspected rabies as attacked 2 other peeps. Never mind tetanus shots I had to have treatment at the time as 21 anti-rabies shots in stomach as “precaution”. Plus stay in hptl for “watching”. Eventually they were running out of room on my tiny stomach, and aiming towards bikini line, very not fun. Nowadays think it’s a one-shot deal. And yet, did not keep me from becoming kit-lover, big time!

KJ, glad that someone finally got the person out of the vehicle. Sad that you had to have the rabies shots but glad that you recovered.
