Good morning – such funny pics! Of course, Comet thinks today is all about him! Recently I was looking at Mars when a meteor streaked across the sky. That kind of stuff makes my day!
Today is my dad’s b-day. He would have loved sharing it with meteor day – I got my weather/space geekiness from him!

Weather/space geekiness is a cool thing to get from your dad, Joan! Love the pics….sophisticated cat is always a hit with me.

Didn’t make it here yesterday, but just looked over the cafe to catch up.

For Kandy, I have two human boys (ages 12 and 11) and three cats (all age 6, two boys named Eko and Leo and a girl named Emily). I homeschool my boys and clean a couple of houses per week to bring in a little extra money. Hubby is a mental health counselor and hospital chaplain. We moved back to our home state of FL a little over two years ago to be closer to family. We still feel a bit unsettled though as hubby’s job is just a two year gig, ending at the end of August. Things are looking good for a permanent position though. We hope to move from our current rental house when things become more certain too. I love baking and cooking and am currently obsessed with brewing the perfect cup of coffee. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Pics of my kitties…

Eko (pronounced “echo”) is the black one. Leo is the light orange tabby. They alternate being snuggle buddies and then having testosterone induced smack downs.

Emily….loves having her brother kits around because they make life interesting. But wouldn’t be caught dead snuggling them…

Joan, of course Comet thinks the day is all about him! LOL, he IS a cat! Love that you got your space geekiness from your dad too. I love being geeky, and about a lot of different things. ๐Ÿ™‚
ECB, love the pics of your cats–funny about how they love and hate each other at the same time. Mine are like that, ALL of them. Kind of like kids really–siblings can love each other one minute (grandkids too) and in the next second they don’t want anything to do with each other. ๐Ÿ™„ That’s been MY experience….. ๐Ÿ˜€
Beautiful day again here, am being extremely pokey this morning. Oldest granddaughters spent the night, they are taking a 4H calf to the vet this morning with Mr. KZ, so it was easier to just spend the night. They are old enough that they are pretty self sufficient, except that they want the obligatory fancy omlette from Nana. Best get to it then….check in later!

    Hi efurryone,

MS-what a sucky way to start your day! What was up with HRH? Maybe it’s because of Meteor Day? I hope you got some rest.

Miss Gaea decided not to come home last night. I was up half the night panicking and waiting for her and then I finally fell asleep. When I got up, she was sitting on the patio chair as if this was perfectly normal. She got chewed out but then kisses.

    Hi Kandy-here’s my fur babies:

    Happy B-day Joan’s father!

I want an obligatory fancy omelette KZ. When do you grandkids show their 4H calf?

    Here’s my contribution:

That must have been scary PG. You’ve got much better control than me as I would have put out an APB on Miss Gaea and also would have totally lost it. Then again, if someone comes to my door and inadvertently leaved door open even for a sec I panic. Even though I know that if i am standing at door and Dorry has not escaped then he has not escaped. But he has ways and means of hiding in my place and does this just to vex me! So has Miss Gaea told you what she was up to all night? TMI I’d guess. ๐Ÿ˜‰
Paws up as also wanting something obligatory and fancy – or at least something that I don’t have to rummage in fridge for.
BTW fun seeing pics of efurryone’s fur kids!

Hmm…no meteors around today – that would make a fun name for kitteh: Meteor…here Meteor…timez for Nomz… ๐Ÿ™‚
Psst – nice kitteh shares littermates!

How about a fun share with Simon for PM Break:

It’s a beautiful day today – took a mini walk got my vitamin D. Was told if you spend at least 7 min outdoors you get
daily dose of vitamin D – cool ‘eh!
    Spotted today:
    daisies in alley
Daisies on edge of alley – flowers & concrete – artistic contrast!

Me and my neighbor think Miss Gaea has a BF…who I haven’t met! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

You gotta love Simon! I don’t do floor length mirrors but if I did LilBit would be like Simon.

The Daisies are beautiful, JK. That’s the first time I’ve heard that song in ages. You are chocked full of Vitamin D.

    Love Simon’s cat. Thanks, JK.

PG….great pics of your cats! Could the shape of Lil Bit’s eyes and face be any cuter? I bet he needs all that cuteness to help him stay out of trouble with you, huh? Glad Miss Gaea is safe and sound.

Lol at meteors always landing in craters.

He he he of course Meteor day is all about you Comet, after all they are both space objects.
PG, yesterday was sucky and so too was today. I was hoping for a quiet day but had to be up early to meet daughter at the vet, her big boy Lucky had licked himself raw in patches. It was his flea allergy, he is on meds to instantly kill any flea that bites him but must have had a bite too many. Even in Winter the fleas are about but it has been a warm Winter so far. I took Lucky home so daughter could get to work on time. Rush hour traffic was diabolical. Arrived back home after dropping Lucky home to find a pile of yakkage on the front porch, either bird or mouse and not necessarily from Shadz so wash and scrub the porch. Hang out the washing and finally get breakfast. Mum calls as I am finishing to remind me I am taking Snuggy to the vet for her last glucosimine injection. Panic! ! I have 5 minutes to go and pick up Snuggy and Mum and get across main road to the vet. We make it there spot on appointment time(any reports of my speeding are greatly exaggerated – ok just slightly exaggerated. I make it home eventually and officially begin my days jobs etc after feeding a hungry Shadz.
Good grief it in noon now.
I have to soak and tend to my feet and then rush off to see if my blood pressure is any better today. ๐Ÿ™„ ๐Ÿ™„ ๐Ÿ™„ I have a feeling it won’t be.
    Back later.

I did see arms and forks appearing through a wormhole in the kitchen as I was preparing omlettes this morning!! I didn’t recognize the arms–but you know who you are!! LOL, OMLETTES FOR EVERYONE!!
The girls will show their animals at the fair in August, usually the first week–but this year I think fair starts on Aug. 5. They had fun with their Papa today–he took them to a Rural King store, bought them boots and candy, took them to lunch and then brought them home. I KNEW I should have gone! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
JK, the next time you walk by those daisies, snitch a couple of those heads. Save the yellow ‘ox-eyes’ in the middle, they are the seeds of the daisy and throw them down in an appropriate spot in your yard–you will have daisies coming up before winter. Then they’ll bloom in spring!

MS, we must have been posting at the same time…Good Grief Girl, what a mess your last two days have been!! I hope your blood pressure isn’t up and maybe you just need a whole body soak….actually I think that’s what I’ll do in a bit myself! ๐Ÿ˜€

Gad MS – I’m getting exhausted just reading about your day!!!
Mine was busy too, and crud not gone yet, worked it’s way into that tail-end scratchy throat, cough stage with headache as a side LOL. Or could this also be that I got into doing stuff and noms went buy the wayside. OK, off to ameliorate that one as in now!
CWS – you broke your finger ๐Ÿ˜ฎ โ“

Sadly my blood pressure was not improved from yesterday – didn’t think it would be after all the rushing about.
PG, it is so scary when the cats insist on staying out overnight like a naughty teen and then there they are when you wake(if you have slept)looking at you with a ‘whaaaaat’ expression. So frustrating. Ohhhhhhhh a BF, is that best friend or boy friend? ๐Ÿ˜‰ Love the pics of your furkits. They are a delightful trio.
JK, love the Simon’s Cat vid and the daisies are so pretty.
KJ, hope you can find something that tempts your appetite.
    Finally getting time to relax.

Well, strictly speaking, it was the two cat bowls that did the breaking, KJ – one from above and one below. But I have survived so far!

    ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Just got to find another one to match the bowl that also broke now.
