Confucius gave the world many teachings, and some 499 famous sayings. If the saying is humorous, chances are it is not a true saying by this great scholar. But if it relates to kits, who knows?

Confucius was wise and self-disciplined. His social philosophy was based primarily on this Golden Rule, “What you do not wish for yourself, do not do to others.” (Lunyu 12.2, 6.30). Nowadays, the phases attributed to him are absolutely ridiculous. Such is life 🙄

Good morning everyone! Pictures are GREAT as usual—still laughing. Two cats are very strange looking to me: the one in the rocks with eyebrows, a mustache and beard and the one with the huge bat-like ears and large pink nose. I’ve never seen cats like those before. Anybody know anything about these two?

    P. S. They’re all precious but the two with the saying about beauty unseen, the tiny black kitty and the cross-eyed one, are adorable. Wish I could hug them all.

Dell after a little bit of sleuthing I found that there is a breed called the Oriental Shorthair that has those amazing ears and features. There are other similar looking breeds(Peterbald) too but I think that one most closely fits the pictured cat. As for the cat with the facial hair it is most likely a Persian.

Lois? MS looked it up and said Persian. I have seen Siamese that look like that. I dunno. Maybe where MS looked Siamese is Persian or? They both look the same. I wish I could post like others do but wouldn’t that mean the Cloud or something which would risk others access to my internet? And by “others” I mean friends of those currently stalking me? And there are literally thousands of them. All total strangers. I’m still wondering how they got my ISP number when my tablet, or the laptops before it…have never been outside my apartment. Nobody will clue me in.

Morning all! great pics! ….. well, after yesterday’s numerous down pours, I promise the tutu will stay in it’s box today ….. we certainly don’t need TDK lands underwater, and of course GD will blame global flooding on me at the drop of a hat LOL! …..
I bought the cutest pair of PJ pants at Target yesterday, and yes, they have kitties (in space helmets LOL) on them ….. my hello kitty PJs are getting worn, and I hate it when elastic waist bands get old and loose their ability to retract, thus fall down …..
It’s not even October yet, and the stores are starting to put Christmas decorations out, makes me crazy …. seems like earlier and earlier each year …. heck, pretty soon, they’ll just leave it up year round! *sighs* …. I hope NOT!

Okay, the pics today are seriously funny!! MS, how DO you DO it!!?
AV, you made me laugh about your elastic waistband and your pants falling down…I have the same problem with them! I wear them until I realize I’m walking around holding them up…it’s time to shop for a new set of jammies!I love Target and the one that I went to closed! UGH!! So, it’s online shopping from them from now on. 🙁
I saw Christmas decorations going up in Walmart the other day too…trees, lights, decorations, wrapping paper, everything!!! Not even Halloween yet!!
    I can’t let it bother me, I can’t let it bother me…… 😛

Good morning – great pics! The white kitty (the one about to eat young grasshopper!) has an interesting look. Must be his wide nose. Very striking!
It’s cloudy and breezy and cool but not a lot of rain yet. It’s in central PA now, working its way north and east.
So much to do, but stupid headache is making it hard to function. Maybe it will let up when the rain comes.
Last night it was Mac at my side, now it’s Comet, who insists on standing on my arm “making mush” (some call it making biscuits), purring and something else that could be interpreted as inappropriate. They didn’t get everything when they neutered him!
Yikes, holiday stuff already? Not even October, much less Halloween!

JJ, YIKES! at the Comet inappropriateness! 😳
I’m still upstairs and kind of freaked out….Avery is asleep and Mr. KZ has hired an airplane to ‘fly on’ rye seed on the fields as a cover crop over the winter. This seed goes on even before we have harvested. But this sucker sounds like it’s going to take the roof off or crash! I don’t know whether to grab Avery and leave or hide or what!!?? I feel like the cats in a thunderstorm! 😕

Aww JJ, I hope the head feels better … Comet was trying to empathize in his own way 😉

KZ, I know what you mean about small planes. When Mr. AV and Son were both getting their private pilot licenses (about 10 yrs ago), they took lessons in a small 4-seat Cessna …. I actually went up with Son one time – talk about panic attack – where I live, the small airport they flew out of took off over the water at the end of the runway …… *gasps* ….. but I braved it for him

    Hi Efurryone,

Happy Thursday. It’s amazing how little things please me. I have my DK images again and the landlord finally re-plumbed the garbage disposal. Now it doesn’t sound like a freight train when I turn it one.

Michael’s craft store had Christmas decorations out in August. Ugh!

We’re at the “in-between” weather season. It’s chilly in the morning, warm in the afternoon and chilly in the evening. We really need some your rain, AV. Share?

Headaches suck esp. in the morning when you’re trying to start the day. Yes, JJ-LilBit does the same thing. It really annoys Miss Moppet.

As long as Avery is still sleeping, I guess she’s OK. Maybe turn some music on for her and you. It’s been ages since I heard puddle jumpers.

I’m going swimming today. This weekend, I should (read: maybe) start raking the leaves… *sigh*

MS is correct on the breed of cats. We’re used to seeing the well groomed “show” Persians so that one doesn’t fit our image. Oriental Shorthairs are adorable and have the huge ears.

    Have a happy~

Not small things at all PG, IMHO it’s neat when things work out.
Could use some definitive temps in my n’hood too. Freezing in am and one questions one’s entire look, by mid-am gets way warm – same question. Whatever.
And way tired out. Ideally will get some rest l8r/over wknd/during hols.
Out for appt and to return hair dryers as bought yesterday. The older models are so much more solid. Anyway don’t sense that there will be any prob in getting refund. l8r.

Good morning all from Friday. Yay the end of the week.
AV you had me chuckling madly about the PJ elastic. Why can’t they make elastic that will last as long as the garment.
KZ as far as the pics go I unleash my weird sense of humour and then reign it in by 50% and that’s what you see – although I didn’t reign one pic in as much this time. 😉 I saw Christmas tree chocolate ornaments in the supermarket this morning.
I love PG’s pic of the cat with the large ears.
Oh my Comet, behave boy.! I hope your headache lets up soon JJ.
Oh KZ that is scary, I know the situation was hours ago but listen to your inner voice in this instance. I used to hate it when we were top dressing the farm and the plane would skim so low over the house paddock. I would go and visit a neighbour then.
AV you just brought up a memory. We were top dressing(fertilising by air) the farm and I happened to mention to the pilot that Mr MS had never flown – EVER- so he said I will take him up. Later while I was out sweeping the paths I saw the plane doing almost acrobatic moves over the farm and standing on one wing before zooming up high. Mr MS wobbled home not long after looking shell shocked as declared that he almost needed a change of clothing. Farm airstrips are terrifying too as they usually run down hill then the ground just drops away in to a gully especially on hill farms which we were on. He has never forgotten his first flight. 😆 😆 😆 🙄
PG, yay on your pics being back and it’s the small things that can make or break your day. We are also in that in-between seasons weather stage, unpredictable and could be any one of four seasons on any given day.
Hi KJ, sounds like we’re all ‘tween season weatherwise.
Oh National coffee day. I had half a coffee and walnut muffin this morning, Mum had the other half.

My cousin had a dairy farm in upstate NY MS and I never heard of airstrips like that. We had a fun time when I was 7 and my sister and I spent about two weeks with our cousins. Ever go swimming naked in a creek? It was next to the house. We were all under 10 so it didn’t much matter. Farming is hard labor. To say the least and he gave it up in the 80s. It was his dad’s, my grandma’s brother. One of 5. She is the youngest of 7 now 99 and the last remaining member. I could never do that but I also remember going to fetch the cows. Hated getting my sneakers dirty. I hate dirt.

Crop dusting KZ? Chocolate MS? Why yes it is too early for that. We have a holiday in between candy and Santa/Maccabees/Kwanzaa. But I’m the only one who acknowledges that it came about because the Indians took pity on the stupid settlers who were starving to death. Were the Indians just gonna teach them how to farm without being asked?
On a Yikes! note? Guess who went poopy on the kitchen floor. What?? I think it’s a throwback but? So is notwantingTurkey and giblets right now but that’s not just way out there. I was in the bathroom tending to my teeth. Came out and there it was. Yikes!

There’s a place back home KZ that’s devoted to the Yuletidings. You name it they got it. From candy canes to trees to snow globes. I don’t remember where exactly but along a Rd called Rt 46. A minor highway of sorts that also leads to a mall and a place called? Verona. Elastic waistband by the way? Walmart is refusing to sell women’s sweatpants. Don’t know if anyone else noticed that. Men’s and babies not children’s and regular size womens. No way to get anywhere and desperate after 8 or so years so? I took a scissor and cut them and cinched the waist and sewed. For now it’ll do.
