    Hi everybody,

Ah, yes-a theme to remind us mere hoomins our true place in life! 😉

LilBit Guy is most unhappy with me. Once a week, I give my gang Laxatone to help with hairballs. The girls love it but I have catch my boy and put it on his paw. I’m sure he doesn’t like the feel of goop on his paw…

Enjoy your day/night. Thanks for being awesome, TDKers.

Lol poor LilBit if only he knew you were doing what’s best for him … Don’t you wish we could explain things to them sometimes! If only when we have to give meds!

KJ I hope your leg is ok and itiching is just a sign of healing.. Let us know how you get on..

MS hope Shadz protects you from the mice! No doubt you’ll have lots of presents over the next few weeks..

I do hop that maybe Scarface lost a battle and has gone to find new ground.. I suppose until I know differently I’ll think of him that way. If only id gotten the trap cage sooner!

I’ll let ye all know how the fortune teller goes 🙂

Buttons, glad/hope someone is in Café. Not great. 1st doc I saw 1.5 wks back gave me antibiotic that is 100% INEFFECTIVE against the bacteria causing infection!!!!! I’m so mad!!!!! So I wasted all this time and now I’m on some mega-antibiotic for next week and f/u with MD that I saw tonight next Wed. He sees peeps all hours and we waited from 9 til 11 pm. Then long wait at 24 hr pharma. And with this med can’t have calcium 3 hrs before/after pill, which messes with me big-time as dairy is what I live on. So now crying my guts out. Will write.

Gad, meant to post in Wed Café. I’m so at “sixes and sevens” it’s unbelievable. Esp how first MD could have first off told me bite not infected and then said he was giving me targeted antibiotic. The wrong one! Called all-night pharm and confirmed a slightly better time to take pill. Not the end of the world. I think MD’s receptionist as tonight noted that at the very least Dorry would probably take down anyone who might try to attack me. Srsly. She meant well. MD (in jest) asked if I’m keeping Dorry. He has always had tendency to bite, have discussed this with vet, one of her cats has same trait and, well he’s my lovekit and that’s the answer. Showed MD pic of the boy and he said he’d keep him and that he can tell that I love him. Sorry all for going on and on, but don’t feel like going to bed which is where I’m going after hot bath. Ideally this antibiotic will do what it’s meant to. And I thought that I was being over-cautious (read obsessive) about the bite when in fact I was walking around with untreated infection. *Sighs*
Hope Thurs is better day and a purrfect day for all. L8R.

KJ, sorry for your runaround re the unfortunate Dorry nibble on your leg. I can understand your frustration with the medical treatment you have received up to today. Hoping that the new meds do the trick and quickly.
LOL at the Dr asking id you are keeping the nibbler.

Awww tks for purry comfort, MS! Going to try to wend my way bathwards and bedwards at it’s getting close to 2:30 am. Plan B, would be to stay up ’til 3:30 when I can have me some dairy which of course I’m now yearning for. Bed is the better idea, methinks.

We have solved the mystery of the missing mouse trap. Mr MS searched the room this evening and no sign of the trap, we are beginning to imagine a huge mouse wearing a trap on it’s ankle. Ms MS went into the garage and discovered the trap sitting on a tool box – right where I had put it earlier in the day. Ooops ! 😳 😳 😆
It’s going to be a long time before I live that down.

KJ, so sorry about the bad doctoring you got! And the dairy…you poor thing. Hoping the new meds do the trick, stat!

Night night, MS. That frying pan post is awesome…going to show the boys. And I love the human building a pyramid…lol. Oh and thanks for relaying your experience with HRH and the meat chunks. I’m cutting them really small for now, of course. Too funny about the mouse trap. :).

So am I a terrible cat mom if I just wait and see about Leo’s need for pain med? I just don’t feel like going to the vet again and his surgery was the least invasive of the three cats (though he did lose 6 teeth). I know when I had my wisdom teeth extracted I never took one pain pill…by the time the Novocain wore off, there was no pain. He’s eating and acting happy and gingiva does heal really quickly. We’ll see.

EC, sounds like Leo is doing well, hopefully he won’t need the meds..
KJ I hope the new meds do the trick !

Good morning all! ECB, you know Leo better than anyone, and I don’t think you are a terrible cat mom at all, in fact, just the opposite.
KJ, good news actually about your leg, as now you have something that works and a doctor that seems to know what he’s doing. Questions about what are you going to do with Dorry are inappropriate IMHO, and none of anybody’s damned business… 😡 sorry, but why is it that’s the first place people go?
MS, so funny about the ‘lost’ mousetrap! I have set many in my life, and a few of them have disappeared also…. 😮 it’s not a warm, fuzzy feeling either wondering if there’s a mouse somewhere trying to escape but can’t because of the trap. One thing I will never do again, is use those sticky traps…OMG, they are just so inhumne and nasty. I don’t even mind mice as I will pick them up and remove them if I have to, but I don’t want them in the house~like spiders, sort of. 😯 Actually could tolerate mice more than spiders but ….
PG, you made me laugh about the laxatone. I used to use it on my cats too, sometimes they would lick it off my fingers, or like a cat maybe they just weren’t feeling it…so on the paw it would go. Only to fly thru the air when the paw flipping started and land on whatever. Jeez, I wasted more laxatone.
AV, hope Dau got home last night and you were able to catch up like moms and daus do!
    OH, and love everyone’s pics!

Good morning – thanks for the pics, everyone. Love the bendy straw and time out/couch on fire pics!
Geesh, KJ, very glad you are now on the right meds.
Oh poor LilBit – medicine, yuk!
I’ll hope for the best with Scarface too – he could have outsmarted the farmer and moved to new territory.
You are an awesome cat mom, ECB, and you’ll always know what’s best for your cats.
Well, at least you found the mouse trap, MS!
KZ, I’ve got the image of the flippy-paw thing, very funny but yep, a waste of Laxatone.
AV, it looks like Erika will skim Florida, which is good, of course, but I’m guessing you’ll get more rain. You’ve had one heck of a rainy summer.
It’s beautiful here in Jersey. Must be doing something right on my walk though, as I worked up quite a sweat this morning.

Great theme – great shares! Thanks KJ,MS,PG…found a few to save to stash!
Waving to Joan, Ecb, KZ, Av, Buttons & anyone about to stroll in/lurking!
    Adding my 2.5 cents too:
    share the care
Wishes for the best day yet this week – feel better/hang in there…grab a café kit to cuddle as purry meds.

Me, enjoying harvest blend java at this place on a sunny day – to be a tad warmer as finally 70’s yay.
Had a pleasant walk in this AM – hoping my care will be done tonight!
Ran out of feral cat food so had to pick up bag at corner store…not their usual brand – but bowls were empty today!
Filled up w/same subst – Otto was wondering where are my fave nomz! 😉
OK, time to continue w/today’s fun…later!

Maybe they enjoyed the change of food, JK. :).

Well, Leo is hanging out under the bed a lot, so I called the vet. They’ll call me back and we’ll probably swing by to pick up some meds this afternoon.

You are very kind to the ferals, JK – they must have liked the change of pace with their food!
Hope you crew feels better soon, ECB.

Oh KJ-I feel your anger!! 👿 I’m sure you want to get out and about but maybe you should take it easy. Asking what you’re going to do with Dorry is out of line. I love the “you may kiss my foot.”

ECB-You’re not a terrible cat mom. As KZ said you know Leo best. If he were in pain Mr. Leo wouldn’t be eating or active. Like you, when I had my wisdom tooth pulled no meds.

You were saving the trap for a rainy day, AV. hehe

I know that all of you guys mean well, but taking it easy is just not part of my lexicon, as that’s when thoughts set in and they are not soothing ones. As for what to do about cat. Yeah, peeps for most part don’t get it. And never will. I will say, here, wher peeps will understand, that, I don’t want to say PTSD, but I’m a bit wary around him. 1,000,000% not deal breaker, but bite was/is not fun and getting through it is dragging out. IMHO just giving him a wider berth for a bit will do some good and then things will settle. He is a biter, always has been. Plan B would be to have the cat behaviourist whom I consulted when he was a kitten do another housec all for hands-on refresher. I’ll see. For now I’m wiped tired, leaving for appt, and in effect wept out. Hope that all are OK. L8R.

Thanks Joan & ECB. Well food wasn’t has good – less protein/more corn. Ok as temp Subst. Bet the birds & visiting possum enjoyed it too!
Need to get Purina – blue bag/better quality brand I use for ferals. Birds don’t usually eat it…think the raccoons do though/LOL
    Oo, feel better/heal soon KJ!

This is direct from my walk in today. My n’hood always brightening things up!
    sun flower stop sign
