    Hi Cheri! *waving*
Love the kitty “treadmills”, JK – front paw exercise is so important to a kitty!
    Poor Miss Pissypants!
Sounds like the bird wants to take a breather at your place, BB.
The snow stopped here. Only a little fell – a fresh dusting. I think it will be dry but cold for the next few days. Took a walk to get the mail and wanted to go down to the lake but it is too snowy. Hopefully over the weekend kids will blaze a trail.

Hi Deb – thanks for the links!
I would like to see the Grand Canyon someday…
    How is Kitty doing?

Goodness, what a day. Not a bad day really, but Miss Avery was quite cantankerous. I think she might have had a tummy ache. She was fighting sleep all afternoon and then started crying inconsolably. Nothing I did made her happy, she just needed to sleep. Eventually, she calmed down but it sure took a while! I can’t wait to go to bed, LOL!
BB, wonder what kind of bird you saw today, wonder if it was a chipping sparrow. They are so tiny, and I love their song in the spring and summer. I have bunches of them nesting around the yard, they could be on their way back to our neighborhoods!

So sorry Avery isn’t herself. Wouldn’t it be nice to see signs of spring? Actually, next week is looking warmer, you know, not sub-freezing temps.

KJ races into too quiet Café and looks for a Princess-soft couch to pass out on.
Breaking news: KJ admits that she was WRONG!!!!
The focus group class was fantastic, probably one of the best spin classes that I ever did! They really worked on creating an atmosphere as: disco lights/dark/candles/widescreen moving projections on wall of California ocean-side highways and beaches/fab house music blasting loud/purrfect instructor (another extremely good looking one, but he’s also on mgmt team so no time to teach on reg basis.) Plus I did this class an hour after completing another super-tough one. I’m beyond wiped, imagining how I’ll feel in am, thank goodness for my Caturday. Now peeps who are “biker” bikers might have a prob as these are peeps who only bike inside in bad weather and are always training for some race, into watts achieved and all that science carp, not me, I’m there to train so hard that every dark thought is driven from my head. And I liked the “clubbin'” atmosphere. They still need to work out some kinks and do serious deco, but yeah. Told director that I had jumped the gun in anticipating a negative outcome. Surprised myself. Gym cohort basically made me eat a clementine after for quick sugar as I think my pupils were dilated. Then had appt, then did some good shopping where I nearly fainted in store which would have been very not fun.
Took one of my blank T’s to a shop where I had them screen on wording “And though she be but little, she is fierce” – Shakespeare. And guy got the positioning of text purrfect. Will def be wearing it to class.
So capped day by shopping well at ongoing sales. Art store also had sale ergo more jewellery in collection – actually had a mini silver absinthe spoon which is now a cool pendant. It’s how absinthe as very strong liquor is prepared as inspired French poets as Verlaine and Baudelaire and featured in IMHO that abysmal film “Moulin Rouge”. Hey just recall that drink is also known as the “Green Fairy” – synchronistic as today’s theme!
Dorry was not supurrvising effort, but I’d love to bring him, he could sit in basket on bike LOL.
KZ, poor Miss Avery, hope she feels better and soon.
PG, “tore him a new one” LOL. Lovely winter scene as your home, too bad about the snow LOL.
Joan, Mackerel – yes sometimes formality is required.
    Sorry that I missed JK.
Anyway, must scrounge around for some noms, after soaking self in Epsom salts bath and finishing some chores. Bed – eventually. Not to worry, Dorry was fed in timely fashion.

Good afternoon all, mid afternoon here on Friday. Hot and humid with possible heavy rain and thunder storm. Last nights lovely sunset developed into thunderstorm and rain for a short time and several small tornados that appear not to have touched down. Possibly the same this evening. HRH sat on the front porch and watched the rain fall and resisted all attempts to get her inside.
Awwwwww Joan, Leela’s story is still a fairy tale with the obligatory ending. Shadz is a ‘once upon a time’ story, involving probably being dumped before rescue by the SPCA. After that it’s ‘happily ever after’.
KJ, after two spin classes I hope you are able to walk home in the snowy conditions. You have quite a day ahead of you.
AV, waving. Had internet probs here too with men working on the lines and no phone/internet connection for some time.
Glad Mr AV and daughter have recovered from their second epic drive and that all is plain sailing from here on out.
BB, you be careful on that ice please.
KZ, it’s amazing how much noise a cat cat make and you have more than one cat.
PG, I love your backyard, so pretty with the snow and I am glad it’s not my yard with snow needing shovelling. *ducking from Denver snowballs* but lets them stack up in a shady corner for a snowball fight later with Mr MS.
Comet ! ! Have you been a little naughty? You went for bagged bread crumbs and left the pizza? Leela, Mr Mackerel could be you ally if you let him.
    😉
BB, LOL at the banana reference. The secret of the dry calloused feet is to file regularly, yeah like that is going to happen, there is always something else needing doing isn’t there.
Joan, knowing of only half of Shadz spots I am sure LJG has plenty of spots out of the weather but probably needs a feed to help keep him warm. As my vet said “food = heat”.
    HI JK, Buttons and Cheri.
PG, you almost had me spit my drink when I read Miss Pissypants, I often have a Miss Pissypants here, great description and great pics.
Hi Deb, dill pickle soup, not even sure if we get dill pickles here. Did I hear people gasping? I’m pleased that Airy managed to see the Grand Canyon while she was living over there, Meegz got to see bits of the East coast while she was studying there.
Poor Avery, any chance it’s teething? A bit early I know but babies seem to teeth earlier and earlier nowdays. I hope whatever it is passes quickly.

KJ, you snuck in while I was writing.
Yay, the focus group went well and that they went all out to create a great atmosphere and impress all the spinners. May it improve even more as they get it set up properly.
Tsk tsk, keep you food intake up please especially your sugars, they help prevent fainting.
How excellent that the T-shirt printing was perfect. More jewellery! ! Okay, the wee absinthe spoon sound delightful.
OHHHHHHHHHHHH ! ! ! Boom crash bang of thunder! Definitely shaping up for a storm and rain. Must go and call HRH inside.
She may be in disgrace, noticed my beetroot(beets)that I sowed the seed of for a second time have been dug over by a cat, may be her and may not be her. Guess I will have to sow seeds for a third time and keep this lot covered.

    Hi MS *waves*,
If I had a yard it would need shovelling, but I don’t, so it doesn’t. I’m not making much sense am I.
Can’t conceive of dill pickle soup either, must be quite spicy. You don’t have pickles in NZ? Interesting. I’m working on cable sweater in shade called dill heather and if I somehow spill relish on it stain will not show LOL. When I wear the thing with matching skirt, tights and shoes I might look like a gherkin. You do have those as well as relish, yes? OK must see about eating something, before I need Dorry to resuscitate me – would he? Hmmm … And must check out today’s featured kit. L8R.

Yeah, I was surprised at how very grunge rock looking stoner-type T-shirt guy got positioning done right considering that I left the T there after proofing font/wording and came back for it later on. By positioning, well I’m sure that you can get my drift, not that my chest is anything to write home about, a 10 yr old boy is better endowed, but I prefurr to travel light LOL. 😳 Goodness I’m high and not due to anything illegal either!

LOL @ KJ’s endorphin high ramblings. Not actually ramblings but you know what I mean.
So your Heather yarn is green, we have a carpet called heather and it is a ecru colour. So many heather descriptions. LOL here at you looking like a gherkin, I thought that was an amazing building in London. 😉
Just shot outside and picked 10lbs of tomatoes from my plants before the rain hits hard and splits them all. Guess I am making something with them tomorrow. Red, yellow and black tomatoes.
Going to sign off here for a while and let the storm pass over.
    Back later

KJ, how awesome the class proved positive results! You really ought to keep a granola bar or something stashed on your person when you go out. Just sayin’…
Hope HRH came in before the storm hit, MS. I did feel bad for LJG being snow-covered and all, but he seems street-wise and probably only came out because he was hungry. Didn’t see him the rest of the day. Remember Tommy, the old orange feral I had a big soft spot for a few years back? He had a knack for coming around just before a storm, and I would generously feed him. He was a special case, as he was an outcast of the feral group, so from me he got canned food and ate like a king. I also slipped him meds whenever I could get a hold of some; his eyes didn’t look good and he looked like his mouth hurt. Figured if I couldn’t shelter him I could at least keep him fed. If he was no one’s cat, perhaps I will see him again, for I’m pretty sure he’s sunning himself at the Meadow.
Mac is learning about treats time, and came upstairs again this evening. He and Leela seem to have an uneasy truce; she will allow him to be near, but whines about it a bit. So the order seems to be shaping up as this: Mac chases Comet, Comet tackles Leela, Leela wishes boys weren’t such jerks.

I feel for Miss Leela and can at times relate to her opinion on boys. *No, I don’t mean you Dorry!* Tks for advice Joan, really-really, too much of the time my supposed smarts quickly leave while slamming the door.
BTW, the peeps as I mentioned the other day as day-care worker duo who were napping/texting on the job and whom I basically told on got told off but good. The girl really seems to give me the stink-eye, but she’s being paid to mind kids and G-d forbid if one of them gets hurt. Still can’t fathom how someone told me that I should not have concerned myself. Doing something took a whole 10 minutes out of my day. Don’t understand some peeps as I’m so not purrfect in so many ways, but IMHO a bit of ethical action goes a long way.
