    Morning KJ & Judith 🙂

Just starting to wake here.. Mr Noodle is helping with the process though.. He won’t stop jumping on us 🙂

Mr B has his presents 🙂 and he got me Chanel no 5 (my fav) and a voucher for my favourite clothes shop 😉

I’ve got lots of treats for the kitties and giant smoked bones for the doggies..

Messi got her special treats .. She has an emergency vet visit yesterday morning and had her teeth clipped and is now on antibiotics so hoping she feels better soon

Will attempt to stay checking in in cafe today.. My favourite part of today will be when dinner is finished and I get to come home to my furry babies and just chill

Everyone have a very merry christmas..

Good evening and Merry Christmas. It’s almost all over here.
Judith, have a wonderful day with your sons.
Buttons, LOL @ Noodles helping you to wake up. Well done Mr B in getting the perfect present. Ohhhhhh the kitties and dogs will be happy to get their teeth into the tasty gifts. Oh poor Messi, sore mouth in not much fun. Buttons we are at your favourite part of the day now, everyone has gone home and the mess is cleared away and Shadz has returned home now the little children are gone and she is tucked up in bed with Airy. You have a great day with family.

Merry Xmas to all who come into the Café!
Sounds like a good time is being had by all, except poor chinny Messi – blessings that he recovers from his dental ordeal soon.
Buttons, good on Mr. B. for choosing just the right pressies – Chanel No. 5 – classic grrl you! But you also have a knack for choosing purrfect pressies. 😉
Well got to sleep in today despite someone wanting his nomz and very loudly! But now Dorry has a full tummy and all is peaceful. Gym opens at noon today and I will be doing spin class – instructor “might” be OK – her name is KJ – yes no official schedule so have to go self-teaching route LOL. Might be case for Thurs. am until at least spring, as class where instructor dissed me some months back got cancelled due to lack of interest, oh well. Seems that I was not the only one with major complaints about this guy so ultimately satisfaction attained. Being paid to teach while wearing wet winter boots with feet on bike pedals and enjoying coffee and danish, not quite professional!
Then appt after. So back in L8R. Enjoy celebrating!

Hi BB & KJ – WfUV out of Fordham University is playing some nice holiday stuff, much more diverse than the music on the other stations. 90.7 if you want to stream it 🙂
KJ, how cool about instructing the spin class!

Merry Christmas! And good afternoon, KJ. Hope you enjoy the gym.

Having a relaxing day around the house. Will put a roast on in a few. Mom and her boyfriend stopped by. Her boyfriend is a great guy and guess what his Christmas tradition is? He shows up with his knife sharpener and says lead me to your kitchen knives. Amazing idea! My knives are sharp…what a treat! He says if he does this once a year everyone in the family will have sharp knives. Glad I had a beautiful jar of GD’s holiday nuts under the tree for him.

Merry Christmas everyone! Resting before the madness begins. I have been preparing goodies and the presents are all under the tree. Once the daughters and their families have had their presents opened, and they have been lazy long enough, they will head to our house where it will all begin again. Noisy family chaos that send the cats upstairs until they get nosey and head downstairs to see if there is a spare box or wad of paper they can play with!
Woodburner is cranked up again keeping the chill away, honeybaked ham in the oven smelling scrumptious, and Christmas cookies waiting to have their heads bitten off!!Check in with all of you later!

(((Waves))) to all on the Christmas Day. Happy Day, KJ. I thought about exercising but then decided nawww.
I got back from my nephew’s house. They kids were delighted with the presents esp. Zachary. He’s totally into Legos and got bunches of Legos kits so naturally he had to open all of the them! 😛 I gave Alia some satin fabric. She’s 13 and loves to sew and makes her own shirts and dresses.

Congrats on the great present, Buttons. I hope Mr. Noodle, HRH Shadz, Mr. Dorry, esq., and all other furries got the bestest gifts. My babies got tuna and catnip rabbit tufts of rabbit fur and noisy mice.

My nephew made tamales and I’m making posole for evening dinner.

    Have a happy

Turkey breast in the oven, dishes washed, and gifts opened. Sister gave me a beautiful thistle feeder with seed so I washed it good with HOT water a few times. I’m still seeing finches out on my sunflower feeder, so they are still around. They will be thrilled with the new feeder I’m sure. 🙂
Buttons… I also love to be alone with my babies and wish I had a woodstove too. Grew up with them and LOVE having them. When others ask what I will be doing on a holiday, and I tell them I’ll be home, they have a fit and try to invite me to THEIR house. They just don’t understand… I feel more comfortable being home. I relax, stay in my jammies, and just take my time doing what I like. It’s PURRfect. Besides, why should the kitties be without me. They LOVE having me home. 🙂
The wind is really whipping out there! MY!!!
Got to Skype with my dau and grandbaby, sister called, and I will be talking to my special little friend, Amanda, later on tonight. She sent me lovely gifts! My favorite cookies from Knotts Berry Farm, a velvety soft throw, pretty Christmas candle, white chocolate snowflake, Calgon hand soap with hand lotion and Aloe infused red/white striped fuzzy socks. Plus, a sweet card. 🙂
Sister also gave me Curel hand cream, a cat hair remover brush for my clothes, and is treating me to a new skylight cause mine leaks. Oh, and a pack of GREENIES treats for the kitties. She spoils me rotten! Nephew and wife gave me a CD of their church’s choir and a DVD called BLIZZARD. It was made in 2003 and I think I’ve seen it before. It’s about a little girl that takes ice skating lessons, has to move and learns the meaning of friendship from one of Santa’s reindeers, Blizzard. Sounds cute!!

BB were the same so.. People keep ringing me asking if I’m ok 🙂 😆 I don’t think they understand I’m very happy with my own company and my kitties 🙂

Mr B is with his family as his brother is home from Oz but by the sounds of it when I spoke to him 2 hours ago he just wants to be back home now.. Alcohol + family drama = not much fun 🙂

Got a funny wooden sign from my sis ” had to get rid of the kids… The cats were allergic ”

You enjoy your solo christmas BB I know I am 🙂

Oh, I love cozy times being alone with the kits, in theory anyways, Buttons. Don’t get much time alone these days, but that’s okay…thankful for my family. Emily and I are having a little girl time right now on my bed while the roast simmers and the family watches a movie.

Was folding guest towels today. These have never seen much use, so I was puzzled over one that was full of snags and loose threads. Then I remembered….it was the towel I grabbed to make a purrito out of Lucy when she was first living with us and needed ear meds twice per day. She lived in the bathroom where the guest towels were stored…and she always put up a little fight, as any respectable cat would. :).

Good morning all, it’s Boxing Day here and we are doing nothing much other than relaxing after the excesses and manic activities of the 25th.
KJ, enjoy your stint as spin instructor. 😀
    Waving to BB,Joan,ECB,KZ,PG,Buttons.
LOL @ the sign you got Buttons. Love it. 😆
LOL, HRH has just come back inside for a late breakfast and headed back upstairs to bed. Weird, it’s a warm if cloudy day. I think she may be ‘recovering’ from having young children here yesterday. She went ‘bush’ at the first sign of them and hid all afternoon and evening in the long grass.
Oh! I must tell you a funny story of self sufficiency – We spent the morning in the country with my side of the family(that includes KK) at my brothers farm. We arrived back home mid afternoon to prepare for the influx of Mr MS’s family at our place. We had worked hard to get the outside decks and terraces and gardens all beautiful. What do we find sitting in the middle of the lawn ? A dead sparrow that a certain dappled cat had caught and dined on. Yes, Shadz had gone out and caught her own Christmas lunch and pretty much picked it clean too. i’m just pleased it was a common sparrow and not a native bird.

Enjoyed reading of everyone’s day. Sitting back with a glass of wine watching A Christmas Story. Mac went outside for a while, but is back in now. The sun came out for a while today so he sat on the back stoop and soaked up some rays.

Wow, how to keep up with it all!
Sounds like everyone had a nice holiday in that they did what they wanted, be it with family, on their own or just enjoying a day off work, no religious stuff involved. IMHO, whatever you choose, it’s all good!
BB, I hear you 100%, I have gotten the same reaction as I stay on my own for my holidays, various reasons, but it’s my own thing and my choice. Well not quite on my own as Dorry is here, as are your 2 guys as Chad and Gavin.
PG, Dorry got nary a gift – not even for Hanukkah. He did score big with a whole slew of toys a few weeks back as “swag” when vet’s had Open House. Plus he won some sort of nomz catching game thingy, which he (as in me) donated to a shelter of vet’s choosing, don’t want to make my guy “work” for his nomz, but some kit will love it!
So gym turned out better than expected. Was on my way out when by happenstance decided to check e-mails. Gym friend advised me of a “special secret” class that one of the instructors was giving. She did not have my phone #, that’s the way it tends to work at gym, one can know a lot about peeps as seeing them everyday, and yet not know their last name! So I raced over and 5 of us has one of the most terrific classes ever! What an awesome instructor to give class and not be getting paid!
KZ, plan to post crosstitch piece (2) close up so detail should show (as you requested). Plus am getting a bit interested in jewellery making on very simple level as Hazel/friend is into beading big time. Found me an “antiquey” purry piece at art supply store and put it together using jump rings, embroidery thread and an old chain. Fun way to distract myself for 2 hrs. Will post as well as it’s one of the “big cats.’ 😉
Must do some hazeling and feed my master so L8R prob!

Oh and I love being home too. Mac is more comfy now that it’s quiet. Hubby also remarked that it’s great to be home with the cats and the colorful tree and the cozy woodburner…and leftovers for snacking!
Mac is almost on my lap. I pulled “his” afghan over my lap and he has 2 paws on my leg. Yay!
