Speaking of margaritas…we discovered we have a lime tree right by the patio in our new back yard today. The boys were so tickled. They’ve always wanted a fruit tree and we actually use limes frequently in some favorite recipes. We picked two, but there are many more. And our movers say they can deliver our stuff a week from today! Great turnaround time. Taking hubby tonight to see the house. He hasn’t seen it yet but was fine trusting my judgement. Taking a carload of stuff too. So happy!

afternoon all! ….. just turned on the five o’clock news, and *sighs* …. only in Florida ….. naked burglers rob a restaurant to steal hamburger meat and red peppers???:!!! seriously ??!!

yay! for the house, EC! …. you’ll definitely have to put those limes to good use 😉

… that ruby red margarita looks fabulous! …. that, and cranberry juice are the only juices I drink …. oj is too sweet for my taste

ECB you certainly scored on new home – imagine just going out back and picking lime straight off tree – I know I’m such a city grrl LOL!
Joan, we used to have saying “never time to do things right, always time to do things over”. Wish your situation at “that place” could somehow improve. I did buy me the “right” zucchini and sooner rather than later, your cheese topped recipe as yesterday’s Café could very well be in the works.
KM, so you have Canadian cousins? Purrhaps I ran into them and didn’t know it LOL! Reminds me of old standard “I have friend/relative who lives in (name of country) maybe you know them?” Forgetting or not realizing that said country is big – very. 😀
Well, seems that if one needs someone “taken down” feisty KJ could be your grrl. Just got hugely apologetic call from gym fitness asst dir re all the stuff I’ve gone through of late. Things happen to other peeps too, they just gripe to each other, as our Buttons would phrase it “girl’s blouses” (tr wooses), all of them. *sighs*
And Buttons, now that I realize that there is wormhole under my bed, if Noodle comes through, he’d better have a return ticket, else I might just decide to kitnap the cutie. 😉
KZ, must be exciting/fulfilling getting home ready for new baby!
JK, margarita sounds like a plan, it being well nigh “that time”.
So off to do some online shoe shopping as Naot is fave brand and prices are phenomenal. Invoking excuse that purchase give me opportunity to (indirectly) support country where said shoes are mfr as country of my soul. Can usually find some quasi-rational excuse for shopping.
Nekked burglars AV??? I know it’s hot in FL, but still? Might have made more sense burglarizing say Walmart for clothes. LOL

Looks like I’m getting into cafe really late and by the looks of all the drinks about there might be a few tipsy staff kitties 😆

Well my feet are killing me after today in the shop.. And we had a MASSIVE 2 hour thunderstorm when I got home.. Poor Frankie was so scared.. He’s the best Guard dog ever but is petrified of thunder.. So Mr B and I brought him and he wouldn’t leave out laps .. Poor boy 🙂

Anyway I’m going to attempt to catch up with everyone..

Hope everyone’s having a good day and sending continued prayer to Deb and family and all who need them..

I LOVE my TDK family <3

ECB I can’t tell you how relieved I am for you! And it’s so lovely you have a fruit tree..

KZ so happy to hear your daughter is doing much better continued prayers for her and baby 🙂

Love big cat exhibits as well also have a pang of guilt watching them behind bars .. But I understand until poachers are wiped off the face of the planet they’re always gonna be in danger 🙁

Mr B told me I a man that used to take in old circus animals here in our home town way back in the 60’s /70’s he had a lion that he rescued and it used to just wander in his back garden not bothering anyone and at night he’s sleep in a giant shipping crate and got fed cows heads !

KJ, we have some of the most ’embarressing’ news coming out of the Sunshine State ….. I think the heat fries peoples’ brains! LOL

…… like the time University students stole our long-time home run vacuumn store’s *waving* mechanical monkey …. it was a huge stink, the entire City was upset, it’s been a landmark forever …… finally found in some kid’s dorm room …. because a local student turned them in! LOL …. it made national news …… why, I don’t know ….. but it makes me wonder what the rest of the nations thinks of us ….. naked burglers, waving monkeys …. again *sighs*

Hmmm that cocktail looks very refreshing! Wouldn’t it be a hoot if WWM sniffed you out, AV. I haven’t seen her in ages so I can’t clue her in, not that I would, as I’m a sucker for salt too! Oh and to quote Dee: “only on Florida!”
ECB, you have a lime tree? How awesome! I grew up with fruit trees, not lime, but apple, pear, peach, mulberry and pear. Would love to have an apple tree or peach tree now, but not around here, bears would camp out in the yard!

JK, took me moment to look beyond callie’s beauty for kitties. Too cute!
Well I chose one pair of shoes and Dorry insisted that I also order a 2nd pr. At $42 ea. (reg. $100 +) plus free shipping and CAD prices, why not splurge!
We had apple trees at country place, but for some reason they were inedible, crab apples I think, and worms enjoyed fruit treat LOL. We did have wild raspberries (as opposed to “Wild Strawberries” as Bergman film) and vague memory of my Grandma making jam out of them.

Buttons, cat it toy seems just the right size for Noodle. Interesting how Miss Nutini moves out of camera range as though she knows that she is not in this scene! Still find it hard to believe that his surgery was not even a week ago. LOL

Always listen to the cat, they are wise. If Dorry said buy another pair of shoes, who are you to argue, KJ?
    Love watching Noodle in action!

It’s Thursday evening in the summertime and that only means one thing: live music down by the pool. I’m too tired and lazy to walk down, but can hear them perfectly from home. The locals are quite good and are now singing “Margaritaville”.
The cardinal, not to be outdone, is singing his good night song right outside my bedroom window!

Haha AV, nekked burlars is too funny but the hamburger meat and red pappers sealed the deal for me!
Thanks everyone for the well wishes for daughter and baby.
ECB, sooo happy for you and your family! How cool is it to have a lime tree! I can’t imagine having tropical fruit like that and just walk out and pick it….gin and tonic with a twist of lime please….
Hi JK! The queen calli above almost looks like my Leona and that grapefruit marguerita looks positively thirst quenching!
Buttons you need to get a *thundershirt* for Frankie, they say it helps calm down dogs in thunderstorms
    KJ, I LOVE NAOTS!!!!

Joan, they’re really singin’ “Margaritaville”??? How synchronistic!!!
And how wise and appreciated your advice regarding listening to Dorry is! He does seem to have a nose for bargains, although if he suggests that I buy me Manolo Blahniks I will have to turn away and listen to my budget LOL.
So what is a “thundershirt”? I need to know. LOL
KZ, NAOTs rule my show wardrobe. So nice to get shoes that are super-stylish yet super-comfortable. Yet someone I know can’t wear them at all. Then again I find Birkenstocks which peeps swear by, uncomfortable, and if anyone recalls Dr. Scholl’s and how back in the day peeps used to do the backpacking thing through Europe in them, I found them totally uncomfortable. Guess “If the shoe fits…” saying holds true.

Ah yes Dr. Scholls. I hung on to mine for posterity got a while.
The locals played The Eagles and som Van Morrison before packing it in for the evening. They will be back tomorrow night.

MS enters the Cafe wearing a Hazmat suit. I have a nasty Winter bug that has laid me low since Monday and am only just feeling up to even turning my puter on.
I haven’t been up to reading posts and catching up on what I missed yet. Managed to make a pot of soup but I can’t even taste it.
I do like the sound of the fountain drinks and the pics are fantastic.
I’ll just relax here with a drink and watch the 20th Commonwealth Games from Glasgow.
    Go Kiwis ! !
