This Special Day is meant to focus on “near misses” – by asteroids and such. But “purr-ifying” the theme do our kits actually miss us when we’re out? Or are they just trying to lay a guilt-trip on us?

I love the pics, KJ. The wee kit in the second picture looks so forlorn. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ Geez-what a topic and right after I return from a trip! The furries have forgiven me or at least, it seems like they have… ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

That is pretty hot for Autumn, isn’t it? 8 km is a great walk MS. Brava!

Visit was as OK. Me and my Aunt spent time getting caught up.

I’m still binge watching Ripper Street. It’s a very good show!

    Cya and have a happy~

EEEEK on sweet, sad kitty pics and the tiny shrew!!!! My outside cats used to cat shrews all the time, they must be slower than mice or something, but they are seriously cute.

I think I’m going to take Avery out to lunch today, since I have ‘new hair’ from the salon yesterday, and I feel like showing it off… ๐Ÿ˜† Just kidding, but it would feel good to get out since it’s sunny and not snowing or raining for the moment.

Hope everyone has a good Friday Eve!!

Hi all – such forlorn kitties. I don’t usually get that look, it’s more like, “Oh, were you gone?” or “You’re leaving? Make sure the food bowl is full.” Shaddo and Jiggs would run to greet us when we came home from vacay, only to remember moments later that they were supposed to shun us!
It’s a sunny day here in Jersey, but cold. At least the wind has diminished.

That shrew is awesomely cute – looks to be pretty tame too! ๐Ÿ˜‰

I didn’t want to make anyone feel sad! But lots of times when I get out of elevator on my floor I hear Dorry crying. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ Now does he actually miss me – or would he do this when anyone gets offf and approaches the door. 2 secs after I enter he goes back to treating me in his customary cavalier fashion. ๐Ÿ˜

JJ, same weather here, and today they promised warmer temps – liars!

KZ, IMHO “new hair” is a purrfect reason to do lunch with Avery. If you even need a reason LOL. I have an appt with stylist next Tues, seems I’m on a 5 wk or so schedule, ’cause even though I’m growing out the top, the sides and back are being kept well-pruned and at a certain point there’s efurry chance that I’ll get into a DIY mode (although I manage to trim sideburns and use a razor comb) and go too far! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Now that I finished my work it should be quiet around here, although I might be getting another project. I’ll say that I’m a bit peeved as when I asked re status of payment due I discovered that the accounting person had not even received my invoice. It’s being taken care of but grrrr!!

I should actually be glad for a bit of a lull as soon I’ll be gearing up for Passover. Plus I just finished sweater and am almost done assembling it, which for me is way fun. And I worked out a better way to organize my yarn for sweaters yet to come, fopr me also fun.

I’m glad most TDKers have nicer weather. We’re suppose to get a rain/snow tonight. My paws are crossed.

I agree with KJ-Any reason will do for treating yourself, but a new do is great reason to go out to lunch. I’m sure Avery is having fun, too. How goes the PT?

Dorian Gray, Esq. loves you, KJ and that’s why he meows for you. Of course, he doesn’t want you get spoiled or anything. ๐Ÿ˜†

Miss Gaea used to be standoffish but, as she gotten older, she more affectionate.

I totally agree with ‘new hair’ as a great excuse to go out for lunch!
Went for a walk around the lake, not up to where I was due to snowbound parts of my route but it felt good to get out. Later went to a wake for a friend’s dad. He was in my hometown’s fire department for over 70 years and got the top notch fire department honor guard treatment. They will go all out for the funeral as well, giving Harry one last ride on the fire truck.
While in my hometown I picked up dinner from a local restaurant that is partnering with A.D.O.P.T., the group that helps provide financial assistance to the township animal shelter. The restaurant will be making a donation based on its sales today. They looked pretty busy while I was there so I hope the donation is a sizeable one. Off to enjoy my calzone!

Here in Athens, GA, USA, it stormed like mad night before last; was cool today; we get spring back tomorrow.

I submitted Penny’s picture for TDK.

Hi all, TGIF, well here at least. We had a very hot night with a good amount of rain but so far today has been dry and humid.
I’ve just had a game of ankle tap with HRH while I was counting the Monarch caterpillars on my milk plants. She is definitely in a frisky mood and I had to let her win – or else.
KZ, glad the ‘new hair’ has made you feel so good even if you can’t get out to show it off.
JJ, I seldom get the sad look either from HRH, it’s normally the ‘where the hell were you !’ look, ‘I needed the door open/shut, bowl topped up, another brushing . . . . ‘.
KJ, maybe Dorry has figured out your timetable and knows when it’s you getting off the elevator and turns on the emotional blackmailing meows. Cats are darned smart when it comes to us humans and wrapping us around their little claw.
JJ, that is a wonderful life times service your friends Dad put in for his community. What a great excuse for buying dinner when the restaurant is helping with the animal shelter.
Leeny I hope we see Penny as kitten of the day.
Talking about new hair I had mine cut a week ago and it is settling down finely. I had never had this hairdresser before and she has done a great job including thinning/layering my thick heavy hair with the razor comb. I washed it after gym today and my straight thick hair has gone into ringlets ! Wow Take some of the weight off it and that’s what happens.
