Morning and good evening KJ and MS!! … I made a batch of brownies one time that had dark chocolate, chili powder and finish with a sprinkling of sea salt …. Sweet, hot, salty …. It was interesting …..

I worked SO hard all week, so Mr. AV and I could take off to the hugh PGA show in Orlando … Headed out soon, should be fun!

Hi all – yum, blonde brownies! Any kind of brownie is good. I think the recipe came from someone on TDK, they were called slutty brownies. Brownie mix, double stuff oreo cookies and chocolate chip cookie mix. They were so good and very easy to make, easy being the key word here.
It’s a grey day here, but no precip expected. Got a dusting of snow overnight.

Popping in to say hi before I’m off to a big cat sanctuary with the boys. I’ll let you know what we see!

here’s what I’m doing today :
gluing broken things together
putting up fly strips
washing dishes
going thru papers to see what can be thrown out (found 20 dollars)
sweeping and cleaning floors
changing bed linens
putting clean clothes away

KK made them and reported back after emerging from her ‘sweetness coma’ that they are fantabulous and definitely a special occasion item but well worth making.

Leeny, I think the TDK clock is on Greenwich Mean Time so that could explain the discrepancy you saw – I think.
Cheri, sounds like a day well spent and with a reward too.
We have a very hot day ahead of us so I got the washing out early and watered what gardens were still in shade. I’m having to keep running to the doors to scare off pesky rosella parrots from our nectarine tree where they are demolishing the fruit before it is even ripe. We are planning on picking all the fruit this weekend just so we get some. Guess I will be busy the coming week bottling(canning) it as it ripens. Then next is the plum tree that seems to have a bumper crop on it too. No rest for the wicked.

Spending time going through Christmas cards and the box I keep them in. So sad to read the OLD cards from past Christmases from the TDK people that have either passed, or no longer post…. SO sad. 🙁
I looked out the window to see a beautiful crescent moon with a planet underneath it. (Mars or Venus ~ can’t remember… must look it up again) SO pretty though!!!
Have had the CREATE channel on all night and day. Was looking for Sarah Moulton last night, and today realized it was the wrong night! LOL She is on tonight instead…. Martha Stewart is also on several times a day. 🙂

MS, I’m so sorry those hungry birds are pigging out on your fruit trees! I hope you are able to get a good amount anyway. Back in NJ we had a lovely sour cherry tree and quite a few birds helped themselves to it, but fortunately there were so many that we all had plenty. I still remember those cherry pies and cherry jelly my mom made. We always had plenty of food back then. A huge garden, got grapes and pears from uncle’s house, strawberries and corn from the farm down the road, and various other goodies from farmers markets. She froze and canned tons of it and made all food from scratch. So many great memories…..
