Thursday 18-9-2014 – I Can Has Cheezburger?

Morning KJ – oh I love a good cheeseburger! Veggie cheeseburgers are good too!
I’m so sleep deprived it’s crazy. So many deadlines, so little time. Wish I was one of those folks who could function on just a few hours a night. Alas, I’m not. Time to go try again and see if today turns out better. At least I have the farmers market to look forward to – if I can get there before it closes.

Good morning everyone! Cheese burgers YUMM! KJ, your burger sounds delicious and Buttons, OH MY! Nothing like my own beef in the freezer for a wonderful burger too! Home grown on our own farm, best beef I’ve ever had (sorry, a little bragging there 😉 ) but I think the processor aged it a little longer this time and it has been one of the best we’ve ever had.
Joan, sure wish you could get out from under that job that has you so stressed; and spend more time here at TDK!! 😆

Yup, got second kit/sibling yesterday. Off it went to get checked out/tamed for hopeful forever home soon!
Taking a break from trapping for a bit/hopeful no more youngsters around. Still need to get older kits TNR’d or taken to “Happy Endings” no-kill shelter which has a very good reputation. Takes all ages/personalities. Adopts out at least 30 month.

Buttons, never heard of hooded eye syndrome before. What cute little sad looking faces.

JK, wonder if that’s the same story I saw on our local news. An animal hoarder in our town just had tons of dogs and cats removed from her house. One of the dogs had a microchip and was reunited with his owners, who never thought they’d see him again. Stories like that are always encouraging.

Hey ECB 🙂 well technacilly it’s a broad term for a genetic deformatity that doesn’t really have an exact medical diagnosis fancy words for the vets have no clue 🙂 … It does make them look so sad .. I have no doubt it will help with their rehoming 🙂

The black one is in a different home but I’ll be visiting with the tabby this weekend to help the foster Meowmy .. She’s not experienced with cats but she seems to be doing a great job 🙂

Good morning all, it’s another wet wet day here. I did see the sun peek through for all of 6 seconds just to let us know what we are missing out on. We had a few loud bangs and rumblings of thunder overnight and HRH hid under her bed(formerly daughters). She is somewhere outside now sheltering from the rain watching it fall, a favourite past time of hers.

The purple stuff is pickled beetroot(beets). It’s not a real kiwi burger unless it has beetroot.

KZ, in total agreement with you on your own beef tasting the best. We used to do our own when on the farm, no one else involved.

KJ, congrats on the cookie making(ahem)even if they weren’t from scratch. I don’t think we have anything like that here, if you want cookies(biscuits) you either make from scratch or buy ready made.
