Estimates date the origin of bread back to 5000-10,000 BCE. Every grain, gluten free, bagels, rolls, baguettes – enjoy!

BTW, there have been more than 2000 quakes since midnight Monday(NZ time).

I suspect I will sleep like all three kittens tonight.
Catch you on the flip side.

Wow! Great puns today in the bread pics! I love when the kits make themselves a loaf….so cute.

KJ, your latest street find mishap was too funny. They’ll learn not to leave stuff out looking like it’s being discarded with KJ around!

MS, took me a sec to get crossover pic, but it’s still early! Purebred LOL! Toasty warm slippers – a DIY plan? Might be slightly crumby. 😆

I have carried a l-o-n-g baguette home in just that manner. Need a black beret to complete look. Purrhaps a striped boater T. And summer weather.

Bahahahaa! GREAT PICS! I love bread, in any shape or form, it is my great weakness. It goes with anything or nothing at all! 😀 And there are no leftover ends of crunchy bread at my house, they are MINE ALL MINE!

My satellite TV was out this morning. Guess what? It was the cats’ fault. 😕 They were ripping and tearing and unplugged the whole shebang, so after I finally figured it out, they got a good talking to. Funny, they didn’t seem bothered, just sort of defiant. Go figure. 😆

MS, please take care. If need be, we all will make room for you to stay with us!!!!

KJ, I forgot to tell you that I love your new chair. And especially love the way your colors all work together. What a cozy, comfortable room!!

Good morning – love when kitties ‘do the loaf’!
I sure hope those quakes settle down.
It is a beautiful fall day here in Jersey, and we are being treated to relatively mild temps. The woodburner feels good in the evening though, and cooler temps are on the way this weekend. Much as I’d like to do some outdoor stuff, I can’t put off a big trip to Walmart too much longer. My sister is retiring from her job at the animal hospital to take care of Tyler full time, so I won’t be getting the occasional excess food for fosters. Walmart’s “Special Kitty” canned food and crunchies aren’t bad, and are affordable. I’d like to stock up so I don’t have to go back there till after the holidays.

I love to bake bread, pizza and flatbreads, but am only making the latter two now as I no longer have a full-sized stove; just a countertop convection oven. Flatbread with olives and red onions is very nice, and actually I like a pizza with the same two things and a bit of cheese. Nothing too heavy or greasy.

Though cats aren’t usually interested in eating those foods, except the cheese, unless they are terribly hungry.

    Tks KZ! 🙂

Yes, if I had to forego the “staff of life” and go gluten free it would be very not good!

    Good Friday morning all.

I did sleep as soundly as three kittens. Wonderful.
KJ I am still chuckling over your street find mishap. 😆 I can just picture you carrying a baguette home KJ and if necessary they would help break your fall should you trip. Crumbs, saved by the bread.
    😉
KZ, didn’t the cats even look slightly guilty? Tsk tsk, wee demons.
we are not really feeling the quakes where I live but where daughter Airy and sister KK definitely are. KK also had tsunami evacuation alert while Airy had a day off work while her building was checked by engineers. Hoping it is rechecked very soon as more cracks have appeared and water is coming out of parts of it. Thank goodness it’s Friday and she will be out of it for two days but even so . . I am a nervous Mother. There have now been over 2600 quakes, most of the tourists have been evacuated from the quake isolated whale watching town but the after effects will be felt for years to come with entire parts of the main state highway in tatters including the main trunk rail line. Some towns have lost their entire history with every thing damaged beyond repair. Even the seal, dolphin and whale breeding areas have suffered damage just before the breeding season begins. The quakes may take quite a long time to settle as it was two separate faults going at the same time and the main quake has been revised to a rather large 7.8 magnitude.
Bread ! I loved nothing more than baking my own bread, especially in Winter because kneading is a great way to warm up. Mmmmmmmmmmmm, fresh bread, still hot with real butter melting on it. There is nothing quite like it. I don’t eat much bread now and Meegz has ‘fostered’ my breadmaker.
It’s a sort of sunny day here but with a nasty cold wind. Friday is linen wash day and the line is almost full and my washing machine has just played it’s merry tune to announce the third load is done. I went slightly crazy and have washed the duvet inners and the mattress protectors as well as the sheets. At least the wind will dry it all quickly.

MS, that quake is sure a havoc wreaker! Hope that revolting UK complaining couple have been kicked out of NZ and placed on a “barred” list.

KZ, I cannot even envision a kit looking the slightest bit guilty. It’s just not in their nature. 😉

Day is coming to a close – in fact officially it is closed as darkness settles in. Just spent like almost 2 hrs redacting a sweater pattern. Found it in library book. I find that typing instructions out in my own way helps me to better understand how the thing works.

Gave N. the dismal news that the crown moulding DIY is not to be.
🙁 She took it quite well hehehe. Considering that she found the wood in trash area of my bldg garage, she asked me what would have happened had we already cut the pieces. Well, too bad for someone else, I guess. 😉 But I now have ideas should I happen upon a picture frame in my wanderings through n’hood. Pretty wallpaper would very nicely suffice for filling in frame. Probably could even find frames in $$$ Store. But free is even more exciting. 🙂

Must attempt to stick to plan of getting my noms at an earlier hour (relatively.) A muffin is implicated along with latte. And Dorry is indicating that it is high time that he was fed. So l8r!

WooHoo-it’s snowing and windy-ing! I’m a happy camper and so is Miss Gaea…NOT! This is Miss Gaea: 👿 She’s being a loaf right now. Oops, LilBit went over to her and is being an “upside down” loaf?

Such puns-I love the “I have risen” kit.

I love, love bread…the smell, the feel, the taste. Alas, it doesn’t like as much anymore. *sigh*

On board ship, peeps who got in trouble were put in the Brig. For up to three days, their diet consisted of bread and water. I used to eat like that and didn’t have to the Brig. 😀

I’m glad Airy and KK are doing OK. The devastation from the earthquakes and tremors is sad but you can re-build even if it doesn’t seem possible. Fortunately, there weren’t many lives lost.

I hope you enjoyed your noms and Dorry was appreciative. 😆

    Cya l8r and have a happy~

Snowing, PG!!!!! 😮 Someone make it stop!!!
It’s way too early for this. Here we’re still getting relatively mild weather for Fall. But snow will come sure as day follows night (point in time.) 😉
