Details are coming out as Comet keeps texting stuff about his party (where did he get a phone??). Efurryone is invited. Agency kitties, some of whom have known him all his life, are working on food and decorations. He wants a pool party, so it would seem we have a pool now! (I can almost picture it in my backyard; now I want one for real!) There is going to be a direct open line to West Cork, Ireland, so everyone can get the latest Noodle news as soon as it comes in.

    Hey Buttons,
Dr. Tiny Cat has packed up her foot massage kit and is on her way through wormhole to IE. Don’t be deceived by her itteh-bitteh-ness, she has very strong paws and purrfectly fits on foot as four-paw massage. Enjoy! 🙂

Joan, Comet got a Catberry as early gift from Auntie KJ and Dorry. The minutes he uses will be charged to your phone bill. Oh, I forgot to tell you? My bad! 😉
Buttons, the claws are part of Dr. Tiny Cat’s total treatment package as acupuncture. You didn’t know that there are acupuncture points on feet? Was news to me as well. But I’m not one to argue with itteh bitteh Dr. kitteh LOL.

Hi all!! Been busy in the flowerbeds weeding, round upping and putting out a couple of cute things I forgot I had! Ready for some of that dessert, (thanks Jean, I’ll have a piece) and put my feet up for a while. Walked down to the sweet corn patch to check on how it was doing aaaaaand we have SWEET CORN READY!! First of the season–couldn’t you just founder on it?!
KJ, cute statue and watch! Nothing like giving to charity and a little goody to boot!
Buttons, will be hanging out waiting, and hanging out with the wormhole kits to hear about Noodles’ surgery. Try not to stress too much!
Well, back outside while it’s still nice. The hummies are up in the trees now so I don’t worry so much about walking around out there. Oh, and I have this bird who keeps walking down the sidewalk to my little fish pond! It jumped up on the rocks and went under the waterfall and was drinking, bathing all the while I was standing there adding water to the pond! WHAT? Now I’m worried that Maxwell will try to catch it since he drinks out of the waterfall too…. 😐 I always have these animal dilemmas!
I’ll check back in later all!!

    Hi KZ,
So you have real corn, like from the ground! I’m so citified everything comes from grocery store. 🙁 Sometimes brought in from local farms as farmer’s market. Love hummingbirds! As kid in country we had bleeding heart bush and hummies used to suck nectar from them. Love watching their fairy-like wings go a mile a minute. Still have one, but he’s on a cross-stitch pillow going at a red flower of some sort.LOL. Used to do lots of cross-stitch/needlepoint before moved on to knitting.

You are all welcome, come through the wormhole into the corn patch with me, I’ll show you how to tell that it is ready, yank it off the stalk and shuck it, ready to cook and eat…OMG I can’t wait for supper!! Dental floss for everyone, my kits can serve butter and napkins to everyone! I even beat the racoons to it, HA!
KJ, you would have culture shock around here, as I would in the big city. I realize I am probably the biggest *hick* ever! LOL!
I have noticed that the trees by the patio are full of hummingbirds! The babies sort of buzz by low and slow, without much maneuverability while the parents are fast and agile. I am in awe of the critters in my backyard! And the bird by the pond!! Oh how I wish I didn’t have to worry about my cats being the predators they are…. 😕

Good morning all, I hastened to the outer as soon as I woke to check on Mr Noodles news and oh no! Not done and we have another day to wait. more time for the kits to play together.
ROTFL at Comet having a Catberry and KJ forgetting to tell Joan the bill would be coming to her.
Oh KZ, have you ever done your corn fully clothed(the corn I mean) in the mircowave. It shucks really easily and is so tender. We have always done it the other way here but one of our former long term TDKers taught me the microwave method. Give it a try. I just snip the tassels off for an even tidier shucking. two minutes each side(there are 2 sides – who knew)give it a minute or so to cool to a handle-able temp and shuck as usual. Oh my, your garden must be wonderful KZ if you have hummers and little birds showering under waterfalls.
It’s sunny but very cold here today after going below 0C overnight. We had a certain furry cat sneak into bed and then later I heard hicka-hicka! Panic stations, was she yakking in the bed? I woke very quickly and discovered she had carefully yakked on the hard floor where it was easier to clean up. A short time later I felt little paw steps making their way up the bed and she settled down on top of the duvet for the rest of the night.
Got a busy day so will pop in and out as time permits.

    Hey MS 🙂

So frustrating having to wait but I have to remember it’s Noodle that will be going through the worst of it..

Was just thinking the about KZ’s garden it sounds like something out of an old Disney fair tale cartoon 🙂 I Love corn on the Cob.. In fact I might get some tomorrow.. But corn on the cob is sold frozen mainly in Ireland I don’t think I’ve ever seen it fresh but in the last few years have gotten it vacuum sealed .. I boil in salted water and then add loads of butter, salt and ground white pepper.. Oh it’s addictive!!

Lol laughing at HRH conscientiously tacking on hard floor I wasn’t so lucky with Nutini today! I heard the yacking sound too and she was on top of the couch! I tried to get her to run off but she didn’t and yacked all down the front of the couch! Luckily it’s a leather couch .. God I hate furr balls!!

MS, soon as I saw “fully-clothed” my mind went in the direction of nekked cooking and ROTFL, tks for further explanation!
KZ don’t put yourself down, country and city each have benefits/disadvantages.
Buttons, when is Noodle’s rescheduled surgery? Would think that as your appt got pushed back you’d be first on list for tomorrow and less time to stress out.
So now kits, settle down ’cause it’s time for tonight’s episode of “KJ’s DIY Adventure”
On way home from LYS (local yarn store) and carrying heavy bag of groceries saw a purrfect IKEA style étagere/bookcase. About 6 ft high, ideal width to replace one I have slapped together that’s not ideal. Would need a wash and some hammering/nails but no worries on that front. So call for cab/minivan. 1st guy who came not only refused to take it but dissed me big-time. And I gave as good as I got LOL. Re-called company and they were beyond apologetic. Re-sent me a van with a really cool guy who took it all the way to my front door for agreed price of $10 which included fare. As mentioned for most part guys take one look at me and offer to help, plus I was wearing pretty stripey summer dress and the 4-inch high platforms LOL. Piece got a nice wash in hallway (along with hall carpeting, don’t tell superintendent) and is now pristine white. Just need to drill some holes in back for wires and good to go. So called my “Hazel” who truly is more of friend/kindred spirit and she gave me drilling instructions or said if noe she’d do it tomorrow as she’s coming anyway. She also makes me throw cushions from 2 large bandanas or napkins and stuffing, they look like the ones at Pier 1 Imports! And I do things for her in my area of so-called expertise and it all works. So now back to my DIY mode and might be in later or if not then tomorrow. But probably later.

Nice score on the bookcase KJ.
I have some corn that hubby got from the farmer’s market. We had it the other night and will have the rest tomorrow for dinner. MS, I’ve never microwaved it with the husk on, might give it a try. I usually husk it and loosely wrap it in plastic wrap and nuke it for about 6 minutes. This corn was very tasty – corn we had about a week ago was a bit early and lacked in taste. Nothing like sweet Jersey corn! Or from our neighbor states, for that matter!

I came over to see how Noodle is and heard the news. How stressful for you both. I will continue to keep you in my prayers. God bless. <3

Good vibes and happy thoughts travelling down from my end, too, for mr Noodle. Little miss Bluebelle (Myzska wasn’t suiting her) wishes the best for a fellow black kitty. My resident lady, Pixie just came in purring, as if to say “Me too, send wishes from me too!”

I know how stressful it can be. My big baby dog, Lexie is in need of a ‘tight rope’ op for a torn ligament in the knee and it’s been gnawing at my nerves for weeks. But we do what we can, and they’re resilient and happy-go-lucky no matter what life throws at them. I could really learn a lesson from that!

    . . .

Had to abandon this post this morning to take care of Blue, and then pick up on some errands, and man has today been full. I feel like I haven’t sat down! I feel like there was more that I wanted to say here, and now it’s all slipped my mind. Typical 😉

On the bright side, this was the view from my backyard tonight:

Had to stop running from task to task to just admire it for a minute. I think the world was telling me to take a break. Of course, now that I have the chance to, I’m going to use it to catch up on what I missed here at TDK. Can’t wait to hear an update on the little Noodle–off to back-scroll!

Hi Emily (my sorta neighbour) 😉
How come I didn’t see that view, actually can’t see image but whatever LOL. Haven’t really sat down today either as in DIY mode. This city is a dream come true for finding furniture in excellent condition. So is NYC I hear. Scritches from me and purrs from my Dorry to your crew!

Still can’t believe it! Actually managed to drill holes for TV etc. using my itty bitty drill following advice from other next door neighbour (also a guy)! Soon I’ll be needing an official tool belt, not!
