    Here ya go KJ

Isn’t it beautiful! And had to slap my forehead only copped that it has a giant star in the center! There’s so much to look at on it! It’s so big it touches the floor on all sides when on the bed..Love the sound of your star buy too KJ…

Joan sounds like your gonna have a very tasty dinner!

OMG Buttons – it’s a star quilt! Don’t know much about quilting (PC is a quilter but she hasn’t been onsite for some time), but I believe that there are traditional patterns that have time-honoured meanings and this is one of them. Love the neutral colours and it fits so purrfectly on your bed. Will also make a nice background for Noodle and Nutini coloured fur LOL.
Quilt has major links to American traditional quilting, and as Americans originally came from across the pond, well see for yourself. Looks to be worth quite a bit more than you paid!!!

Good morning all. Bitterly cold windy day here but the sun is out and Shadz is soaking up as much of it as possible on the balcony.
Buttons, what a buy ! ! Beautiful and you will be so cosy under it in the coming Winter,
JK, would love it if you could find the like to the large fish pic, Mr MS spotted it and is interested in what the fish is.
I have to dash for a Dr’s appointment now, will fill you in on what happened when I’m back.

Thanks for the link KJ 😉

I’m in bed now and it’s so cosy! It’s not very thick so I’m very surprised just how warm it actually is! I can’t stop looking at the pic 🙂 I’m very proud of myself I can’t believe I got it for €9! Surely that robbery! I think it might be from the 70’s I’m not sure there is a very worm tag that says “cotton 100%” but I think that might just happen to be attached to one of the patches in it’s side.. But it’s definitely. All 100% cotton!

MS glad Shadz is getting some sun in 🙂 hope all is well at docs .. Are those sniffles still bothering you? My mam had to go to do today too.. She had a bad cold weeks ago and turned into a chest infection 🙁

…. MS, you simply MUST stop practicing your ‘cirque du soleil’ act in the grocery store ….. hope the doctor doesn’t find any major injuries, and hopefully will give you something to make you more comfortable 🙂

… a sad day here in Tampa ….. a friend that I grew up with’s Son died yesterday … 24 years old, crossing a street in Texas after seeing our Rays play ball …. so very sad …. I can’t even imagine the horror/grief of this family … please send prayers for them…..

… Buttons, that Star quilt is a great find! …. how lovely! ….

You could be right there KJ but it’s been well looked after .. Only one tea stain I can see in it and a bit of vanish should sort that out..

KJ, the kittens go wherever sister goes, since they need feeding/stimulating every few hours. They did attract attention to the booth. Some asked about adopting, but no go till they are at least 8 weeks old. Have a flyer there asking for help with their care listing the cost of KMR, baby wipes, laundry detergent, pedialyte as well as financial help with vaccinations and tests. I forgot their names already…
    Buttons, that quilt is lovely!
MS, hope you stay warm and feel better soon. Leela would like to come thru the wormhole to hang out on the balcony with Shadz. Perhaps she will grace you with her soothing leg rubs.
AV, how tragic for your friend’s son. I’m so sorry.

MS, Dorry wanted to come along and join Miss Leela and HRH, but I told him that it might not be the best time with you being under the weather. Hope you feel better ASAP.
Very sad AV. Sympathies to your friend and her family.

Buttons, what a beautiful quilt! My MIL was a quilter in her day, and a collector of quilts. I have to say there is nothing quite like new bedding~I love decorating my bed and then getting into it….LOL!
Cleaned daughter’s house, it smelled so good when done! Avery has her days and nights turned around, but is the best baby. I can snuffle her like a little cat, and she doesn’t mind, LOL. I hope to Hazel my own house tomorrow as it has been neglected to do “baby” things! Daughters house wasn’t really dirty, just some cat hair bunnies around her hardwood floors since she is a cat lover like her mama! I guess that Avery can count on following down that path too, I’m sure we can help….
KJ, you must be one beautiful lady to get such comparisons to beautiful movie stars!
MS, I do hope you get good news from the doctor and he can help you get 100% better!
AV, what a sad and horrible thing for that family! I love shark week too and have been watching…why do they play the same stuff over and over though? And the one they ran about the whale watching boat that the captain crashed into the rocks, I couldn’t/wouldn’t watch. I will not watch live footage of a horrendous catastrophe where actual people die. What are they thinking~obviously ratings, sick. I like learning about the actual shark, not the horror attached to a catastrophic accident, I think it disrespectful for the people who lost their lives.
    😥
Deb, awesome recipe, will give that one a try!
Hey Joan, we have been having awesome weather, almost like fall! The skeets haven’t even been out, guess it’s too chilly in the evening. I hope your week is going better.
Hey Jean, hope your dental trip was uneventful! What kind of fish was that anyway? AND I LOVE Julia Child!!

KZ, you are super Mom! … cleaning Dau’s house, how very nice …. I can’t wait til my children get married and have my grandkids (23 & 26) … they’ve got a few years yet, but both want families/kids ….. don’t want to rush them, things will happen in their own time, but I’m looking forward to being a part of it
… it truly breaks my heart for my friend and her family …. I cannot fathom what they are going thru …..

… Deb, that recipe looks yummy! … hope ‘that place’ isn’t too crazy tonite, I know you’ve been through tough times with loosing Danny and your Dad … prayers and white lights for you!

… SO glad tomorrow is Friday, looking forward to Caturday, my Sabbath/rest day! …. I’m going to make more biscotti this weekend, Mr. AV really loved it, and will take some to family as gifts for Sat. dinner …. really good with coffee in the am, or with ice-cream in the evening for a treat (per Mr. AV, I don’t like anything sweet, so it’s not my thing) ….

… I’m seriously thinking about pulling my paints out this weekend, I haven’t had my hands in oil & brushes in so long, I’ve got the urge! …. might paint my fishies …. I do so love watching them …. my one ‘goiter’ has a HUGE goiter on his butt/tail fascinates me! … I’ve never seen that before… it doesn’t seem to bother him, but he does swim funny … sometimes the other fishies try to knibble on it, but he swims away (he’s big) …. not really sure what it’s all about!

There is plenty of room out on the balcony for at least a dozen cats to stretch out and be out of the cold wind.
Cirque du Soleil act ! ROTFL I like that description AV.
Saw the Dr and had x-rays on my knee to check for broken kneecap or torn meniscus, waiting to hear back now.
What actually happened? It seems I trod on a piece of deli meat or something similar and did some rapid skating actions with the trolley before landing painfully on one knee. The rest of my body has been well and truly twisted and wrenched and I am sitting on a pile cushions and trying not to do too much walking. Mr MS has taken the day off work to be my ‘nurse’. 🙂
AV, how terrible for your friend, it’s so terrible when someone so young dies.

MS, I must have missed that day in class as I thought that “grocery” and “Cirque de Soleil” ref was some sort of joke – not! Truly hope that nothing is torn or broken. And yeah, in injuries seems whole body goes into shock trying to protect itself and gets a jolt. At least the cart did not fall on top of you, don’t even want to go there! Now, is the grocery store not somehow responsible for not properly cleaning the floor? IMO they should be! Hope you got some pain meds and are using ice, unless some other course of action was recommended.
And KZ I too absolutely love getting into my bed and snuggling in the freshly washed crisp sheets, sometimes with Dorry at my feet, unless he’s in his under bed lair.
AV, share your feelings as Caturday is my Sabbath and I basically spend the entire day recharging my batteries as in sleep.

OH, NO MS!!!!!! I am SO sorry about your recent um… “dance” with the trolley and knee boo boo!!!! Hoping it’s just a bruise, and nothing more. Yes, I agree that the store is responsible for Dr. bills, etc. Did you happen to fill out an accident report? That’s how it works here when someone is injured in the store, or on the grounds.
I picked up some baby red potatoes and boiled them. Fried some onions and cooked the green beans and mixed them all together. YUM! I have enough leftovers for tomorrow night’s meal as well. Lots of leftover potatoes for other meal ideas. I LOVE leftovers!!!
I like Deb’s recipe too! Will write it down to try. I should soak some beans for soup. I was going to make some tonight, but wouldn’t you know… I procrastinated SO long that now my celery is brown and I did NOT buy any after work. 🙁 I thought about it, but wasn’t sure if mine was still good. OH, well…. I always seem to have bad timing! LOL
Joan… glad you got to the farmers market. Did they have blueberries? Did you happen to look at the corn to see if it’s huge like what you recently bought? I ate one white peach with breakfast and a yellow one after supper. The others are not soft enough yet. The bag does the trick though!

KJ, the Cirque du Soleil reference was a joke, AV knows I love a good laugh at my own expense and the way I sailed elegantly for all of 6 feet and a couple of seconds I could have been a circus act. We have no fault personal accident medical insurance cover for all New Zealanders here so the supermarket are not in trouble. It(the deli meat) was probably tossed down there by a child who had been given it by Mum to keep them quiet while she did the family grocery shopping. It happened in the first couple hours of the store being opened. I am waiting to see if the store contact me again to see how I am. The entire body does indeed seem to react to something like that, today my rib cage is sore.
