Morning Cheri! Evening MS! *waves madly in all directions*
Sun is shining, coolish in early am – deceptive as can get nice n’ hot as later. We seem to have skipped Spring, but weather report says ight get cool again as next week but no snow LOL. Hope that your weather improves MS.
Now must start day – first and foremost being task of grooming/feeding Dorry – I know my lowly place in his scheme of things!

Morning KJ! LOL @ the pics today, I love the ‘cat scan’ …. looks just like Big Sal! …. who, bye the way, we finally met his Owner! …. it’s a young girl (about Dau’s age) that lives a couple of doors down, doing a masters degree at UT. Interesting story, she is from Puerto Rico, and found Sal as a kitten stray …. when she moved to the States, she flew Sal with her, and they landed here in Tampa. She says she couldn’t resist him, his personality was so ‘larger than life’ even as a kitten, so she adopted him! ….. she was so sweet, and thanked us for letting Sal ‘visit’ …. and she got to meet his girlfriend, Abby ….. who we now know has a ‘Latin lover’ LOL !!

…. Our city is once again geared up for big celebrations, our hockey team, ‘the Lightning’ is playing some final rounds here, and is sweeping the competition …. go figure that a ‘Florida’ hockey team is one of the best ….. how do they even keep the ice from melting when it’s 90 degrees outside??!? LOL

Morning KJ and AV! AV LOVE the story about Sal! Isn’t it funny how things work out? Latin lover, LOL!
Hey it’s been HOT here too, seriously seems ridiculous to have the air on this early but Mr. KZ sprayed the yard for weeds and stuff and I hate the smell so I shut the house up. It’s supposed to cool off next week a little but really it’s BEAUTIFUL! Every year I realize just how much cabin fever I have had when it’s such a treat to walk outside and sit on the patio or to not think of boots, hats, coats, etc. just to step outside!!

    healing purrs
    🙂

Waving to KZ, Av, KJ w/anyone still lurking – c’mon in & join in!

Me, looking for my cup…ah, thanks Tux – freshly washed out of the sink!
Now for freshly brewed java & back to part 1 day 4!

It’s sunny & may hit 80’s around here today – don’t think so – since it’s always cooler near the lake!
Have a pawsome day – back when I can!

Good Morning all and good evening MS,

KJ, I the love the jogging doctor! I glad the weather is improving in your n’hood. It’s still raining on and off but we’re supposed to see sunshine on Monday or Tuesday. Furry purries are the best therapy, JK. Here’s my 2.5 cents:

I agree AV. I thought it was odd when they established the NM Scorpions hockey team in 1996. They ceased operations in 2008. Apparently, hockey isn’t popular in Albuquerque. 😮 Ooh, mi amante Latino, Abbey!

With Miss Gaea playing outside, I won’t spray for weeds but I certainly need to do it. The best I can do it keep ahead of the dandelions!

LilBit Guy is too silly. He started with meow, meow, and meow so I went to see what was happening. He was standing by the litter box looking at me. I had cleaned the litter boxes but apparently he needed an audience.

Miss Gaea is frustrated with the all the rain and not going outside so she’s picking fights with her sibs. They joined together…a truce reigns. After all that, everyone has settled down for their mid-morning nap.

My nephew and I went to see Avengers yesterday. We really enjoyed it. I’m going swimming and then …

    Have a happy~

Hi all – Happy Nurse’s Day! Awesome pics 🙂
Wow, Sal the exotic one – great to hear his story!
Yes, how do they keep the ice, um, ice, when its 90 degrees?
Glad you are shaking the cabin fever, KZ. The weeds around here are growing like weeds!
Now Miss Gaea, play nice with your sibs, and keep up the truce!

PG, now that’s a poster that blood drives could use LOL!
Wow, Miss Abby has a suave and dashing lover as Señior Sal! Makes me wonder on the backstory of all our rescue kitties.
Hockey and Florida? Hockey and New Mexico? Seems a bit like an oxymoron to me. Hockey being our national sport. But we have the ice as go-with LOL.
JK, Dorry could be stand-in for my wonderful physio – according to the chart! Ditch the arnica and ice packs and settle for purrs! 😀
Yes KZ, so nice not to have to dress in layers. Going to hit 30* Celsius as Caturday and I will hopefully sleep through the heat wave. Peeps actually seem to be in better mood as weather improves.
I’m bushed and plan to take advantage of free pm for catnap. L8R! 😀

Oh happy day, I found a few things I was looking for. One thing was rather important, and I stared at the ceiling in a panic more than one night worrying that it went out with recycled stuff. Also found food stash from office (nothing perishable). Granola bars, etc, but also some candy! Of course I find this stuff on the same day as I tell myself seriously to watch the salt/sugar/carb intake, figures! Now if I’m good and save it for true cravings, I’ll be okay.
Another found item: LARRY!!! Leela’s bff little stuffed lion, that was gently loved by Shaddo and fiercely loved by baby Leela, and named by hubby when it became apparent it was more than a toy, went missing during a game of hide and seek on Leela’s b-day. Have to admit, it was a good hiding place, and when I exclaimed, “Larry!”, I think I saw Leela smirk. I think that little vixen knew the whole time and she was hiding Larry from me.

    Yay – Larry is baaack!

Diva Scoot does that with her toys…usually take turns between li’l fish as Moby, yellow bird as birdie or red octopus – octi…think she does it on purpose so I have another reason to play w/her! I luv my diva – can you tell?

I’m also likin’ that it’s almost time to exit stage left…yay, doing the fitness center – did bit of yard work yesterday so will mix it up a bit.
Waves/wishes for all to enjoy rest of today – back on the flip as TGIF! Mwah, smooch for Tux – later!

Good morning all, it’s wet here and HRH has decided that she must be out in it. Thankfully it’s only light rain and we do need it as we are still recovering from the long dry Summer. Despite the rain or maybe because of it the temperature is a pleasant 19C at 10am.
I love today’s pics especially the first one, the word ‘thwapt’ had me LOL. Delightful and that nurse kitty looks so sincere.
Wow AV, Abby has a real honest Latin lover or should we say admirer. How exoctic of her. Great that you have met Sals main staffer.
JK, great info about cats healing abilities for us hoomins.
PG, Mum’s cat Snuggy is like that but with needing to be watched eating her kibble and mainly during the night. She will wake mum 3-4 times a night and insist on Mum going to the other end of the house to watch her eat. If she is locked out of Mum’s room then she yowls nonstop very loudly.
Miss Gaea, are you bored? Pop through the wormhole and you can play out in the rain with HRH if Meowmy says you can. I am sure your siblings will agree.

ROTFL at Leela’s smirking when you found Larry. Glad you found the important thing and the nommys.
Maru and Hana making bread vid is cute.

    Bye JK

I saw my first little hummer today! The male. I quick put the feeder out for him. Yesterday, I had 3 Rose Breasted Grosbeaks eating the sunflower seeds!!! How lovely. Still no sign of my Indigo, but I did hear familiar chirping coming from the weeds? Usually the female chirps when she makes a nest. I also saw a close up of the beautiful Baltimore Oriole while listening to the mystery chirping. SO much bird activity now. They were singing their little hearts out this morning. Awwww….
MS, that Snuggy sounds like a real character…..
AV, how cool you finally got to meet Big Sal’s owner.
    YAY for Larry being found!
Leaves are really coming out here. Looks SO different now! 🙂
*Waving Hello to everyone here or coming later to visit! Have a lovely evening!!!

Hi BB, I just Googled the birds you mentioned. Wow, so colourful and I was surprised at the Baltimore Oriole when I saw just how bright it is.
Our birds here are very subdued in their colouring unless you catch them in the bright sunlight and then they shine. I guess it’s because our native birds are essentially forest birds although they now have moved to the cities too and the other birds that were introduced by settlers in the 1800’s are mainly dull coloured too.
Here is a great link of many of our birdlife and the sounds they make.
    http://www.radionz.co.nz/collections/birds
The birds I feed are mainly sparrows and silvereye(tauhou) although I know them as the wax-eye. I also get blackbirds and the occasional tui coming down to feed. The tui is also known as the Parson bird for obvious reasons when you see it’s pic. I love it’s song and it is a great imitator of other sounds including man made sounds.
Our leaves are definitely falling here now and my local shops all have leaves blowing in to them, in Spring it’s the cherry blossom that blows everywhere.

    Hi MS & BB!
Larry has been moved already – I guess she missed him!
Another rainy day, MS? I hope Shadz isn’t too ornery about it.
How awesome that you are seeing all those beautiful birds, BB!

Well Joan, there’s a stoopid (IMHO) saying they one will find it (whatever) in the last place one looks LOL. And I wouldn’t put it past any kit to hide something and chuckle silently at our frantic searches.
    Dr. Tinycat … awwww …
I catnapped for like 4 hrs this pm and then Dorry got all lovey and climbed up my chest for snuggle and massage.
Tomorrow supposed to be warm again and then we head into 30* Celsius. And then beg of wk we supposedly drop down to 12* Celsius. Weather can’t seem to make up it’s mind as to what season it should be!
