Going to grab a lounge chair on the patio too – that big Maine Coon buddy of mine picked one out, complete with complimentary pink lemonade.
After a bit of shoveling, went out to feed the birds, but the top was frozen, so brought that in by the fire to thaw. Then took Comet outside to explore the paths. Today’s priority is paths to the wood pile and bird feeder, also clean off the front steps and a path to the unplowed street. Yep, nary a plow truck yet here. Governor declared a state of emergency so we’re not supposed to go out anyway. Hubby may go out for the paper later – there is a little convenience store a few miles away. Oh and a liquor store and a pizza place – we have our priorities straight up here on the mountain!
Comet is getting good at walking with his harness, though he was very happy when I picked him up. Oh and he made yellow snow, surprise! In the old days known as the Shaddo/Jiggs era, an additional path would have been made to nowhere for just such occasions – the boys only used the litterbox inside as a last resort.
