Usually I try to play be with Duchess for 20 + minutes at a times when I feed her, depending on the day and time I usually allow 20 minutes of eating alone or grazing or wandering and then 20 minutes of playing. Sometimes the playing can’t happen and I let her wander around for 10 + minutes. I do feel guilty when I feel like she has gotten enough time outside of the cage, but being a full time student, and working part time really wears me out. But when I do get to play with her or watch her explore it’s such a wonderful experience.

Tonight I rearranged the living room again! But this time I made the floor space tighter [she has couch room too, she likes jumping and jumping down a lot] and with this set up it allows for more play time. She spent 10 minutes alone playing with a paper ball. She’s getting to be so cute and funny. And then another 10-15 minutes playing with the birdie [it’s actually a turtle] and she makes such loud noises with her paws. It sounds like a 5 pound cat stomping and thundering around than a little kitten.

I know that this is random but every time I’m with her and every day I just love her more and more, she may not always show affection but when she does it just warms my heart.

Spoken like a smitten kitten mommy, DM 🙂 I love the spikyfurr straight-up-in-the-air tails that kittens have while exploring. Like a fuzzy antenna.

I know what you mean, and little Angel isn’t even my cat! My brother rescued the little orange love bug a couple of weeks ago (he can’t be more than 2 months old) and I’m taking care of him while Steve is on vacation. Since I rescued all of my cats when they were adults, it’s so much fun watching all the antics of the little ones. Enjoy it while it lasts!

Haha yes it is very cute…Although, half the time, she is a crazy little kitten bouncing up and down and running around…sometimes it’s almost hard to keep up with her.
