The Grinch (Aussie Version)

In my hometown, the main street that separates downtown from the UGa campus is Broad St. You know, “Broad,” as in “wide.” About 100 years ago, a bunch of blue-blood biddies with nothing better to do decided that since “broad” was a perjorative word for “woman,” the name of the street needed to be changed. They actually mounted a campaign to change the name of Broad Street to (get this) “LADY Street”! Thank God, that campaign was successful in nothing except to air in public their collective stupidity!
