    1966 – David Jones changed his last name to Bowie to avoid confusion with Davy Jones from the Monkees.

    1967 – The first Human Be-in took place in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco.

    1970 – A display of John Lennon’s erotic “Bag One” lithographs opened in London. 2 days later Scotland Yard seized prints as evidence of pornography.

    Yes JK yes – and NEVER AGAIN! Thank G-d no one in my family, except a distant cousin, who lost everyone and who my grandfather took in when she arrived in Canada, went through the Holocaust, that said a piece of my soul went through it.
