Dear Family,
A few weeks ago I sent Mollycat a little stone that had a cat etched into so she would have all us crazy TDK people with her when she was having a hard time. A few of you mentioned how cool it would be to have something like that. Well I couldn’t afford to buy one for everyone, so I put on my thinking cap.
I love wandering around the shore of Lake Michigan with the boys when the weather is nice and realized there are some pretty little stones there. So when we go there, I have been picking up small little stones and bringing them home with me.
I hand painted tiny kitty prints on them and then coated them with a gloss. The are far from purrfect, but are made with a lot of love. I made 24 “TDK Friendship Stones” in all.
Today all 24 “TDK Friendship Stones” have been mailed to various TDK members here in the USA and over seas to brighten your day. I thought it was a great way to “Pay It Forward” and bring a smile to someone’s face.
All I ask is who ever recieves the stones is to keep them for a short while and then send them to another TDK friend. It isn’t expensive to send them, just a regular stamp and then another 20 cent stamp due to them having to be hand stamped by the post office. They won’t go thru the machine. (Oh well) And oversaes was about $1.50. I didn’t think that was bad to be able to bring a smile to another TDK friend.
So TDK friends, 24 of you will be getting a cute little “TDK Friendship Stone” in the mail in a short while. All I ask is that you send it on to another TDK friend that you think may need a smile.
