    Today is Winter Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere and Summer Solstice in the Southern Hemisphere.

    We celebrate our Forefathers and remember without them we would not be here 😆

    Good morning PG!
    Nice pics! Started whistling as soon as I read about looking in the bright side of life.
    Lots to do, of course. Stayed up late decorating, but in the light of day, there seems to be a need for more, so will get the box with the super old ornaments out.

    The sun did not make an appearance today so it was pretty dark all day. *sigh*
    I enjoy decorating. Cleaning out corners and walls that have collected clutter, not so much. At least the summer stuff is put away – finally. 🙂 (how many days till I can take it back out?)
    Found a box that I really need but forgot about. Guess I would have figured it out when I go to serve dinner on Thursday – it has the platters, dessert dishes, mugs etc. I have my grandmothers cut glass snack trays as well as red fragile-thin glass cups with handles that are great for egg nog and fresh apple cider, both of which are on the menu.
    Decided to make some brownies to make the house smell nice…the house smells nice!

    GREETINGS!!!!! Well, today it’s officially WINTER. Oh, joy……. Looking forward to the days getting longer though. 🙂
    Frozen pizza in the oven smells yum! I am SO hungry!
    Joan, glad you got to clean and decorate some today. Your dishes sound really nice! Pretty!
    LOVE the cat in the Santa suit. He looks SO thrilled too! LOL

    Mmmm pizza! We had lasagna for dinner – needed to use the ricotta and mozzarella while still fresh. Of course we had to sample the brownies too!
    Put some old ornaments on the tree – the old hand decorated glass ones that they don’t make anymore.
    Watched “The Sound of Music”, now “The Polar Express”, but I really need to give Leela her treats.
