Hello MCW, was on the phone with mom. Ear is doing 300% better. Pain is gone and I can actually hear out of it now. Still going to do the antibiotics until they are gone so no worries there

You could be right about the job, KW, but I’ll be honest that something like that would make me nervous because I have no real experince there outside my martial arts teaching.

    I know, I’m being a chicken

    Mis-spelling? What mis-spelling?? πŸ˜€

hi kw and karin! I noticed you’d been missing Karin but this past week i was on after 8 or 9pm because of work myself! Right now it’s raining lightly no wind thank goodness! Yesterday was bad! Mom and Stepdad had to reattack the plastic covering to our front porch which the wind ripped off! We put it up to keep the porch dry since we only have screening on it no windows! Then one of our old garages metal roofing was ripped off so Step-dad with a roped tied around his waist and mom tied to the other climbed the ladder and nailed it back down almost being blown off twice! Tree limbs cracking and falling luckily only in the orchard so no damage to the houses!

I was working yesterday in Palo Alto! Hard driving rain very strong winds all day! Flooding in the parking lots! Power surges freaking the kids out! rumbling thunder, blibding white flashes of light as lightning struck flooded parts of the parking lot! One of our small trees more like a sapling really was standing straight when i got there! When I left at 5:30 it was leaning heavily vertically to the left!

Kids were freaking out! You could even hear the rain pounding on the roof and windows because we had slanted rain!

It was just bad! My brother in San Fran was at work and said you could see tree limbs and other items blowing by the store front and 2 stores down the windows blew out (luckily the building was empty it was being renivated) and he said the streets were dead!!

MCS = MadCatShortperson! Yeah, that works!

It was the martial arts teaching I was thinking about. It sounded like you were a teacher and mentor. Might be worth an inquiry. The worst that could happen is that they’d say no. πŸ™‚

That sounds very scary, Ange. I’m glad your step-dad wasn’t hurt trying to repair the roof.

I was KW. I should try for it, you are right in that the worst they could say is no.

Besides, Mr Absher used to say that there is no difference between fighting one man and fighting ten. I am sure he would also say there is no difference teaching karate and teaching anything else.

Hi Instinct! :::waving back::: Hmm…send out the Coasties for you and Intuition? Really glad to hear your ears are doing much better and the pain is gone.

LV, I had a very hard time driving into work. Could barely see and was going about 45 mph. Thankfully everyone seemed to be driving extra slow as well. High winds on the bridge but made it over it. Got to work and then about an hour later the power went out. We sat in the dark for an hour and a half before they said we could go home. It got awfully warm since the air was shut down. Drove home and all the roads were flooding so again drove around 45 mph on the freeway. I went to the store to buy some food and to hunker down this weekend.

Hi Ange! 2008 going well so far!

Instinct – I’m short, 100% fact! In a pc world I’d be 6 inches taller and the same weight, but like Garfield said : I’m not overweight, I’m undertall!!!

So far so good. Still looking for gainful employment but otherwise OK.

I think the coasties may have been washed away by the rain (I can say that – my brother was a coastie)

Yea, I was waking up in the middle of the night when the advil would wear off. Then I would take a few and go back to bed. Not a very good way to get my bueaty rest and we all know how I need that πŸ™‚

Just make sure that Misto or Quazo isn’t licking your ears, hee hee. Well the good thing is you are located in the middle of the island, the bad thing is it is an island. Definitely do not use the Posey/Webster Tunnel!

I lived along this creek back in 1986. Glad I do not live there now –

    so good to hear MCW!

Wow karin i know we were doing 45 to 50 on 101 north thought i was going to be late! Wasn’t barely got there with a minute to spare! it was so not fun wading through the parking lot last night feet shoes and pant legs to knees soaked! water in some places were ankle high!

I wish I could say the same about my commute to work! I saw 6 accidents off to the side of the road! watching peoples cars sliding scarey!

Not start trouble, no not you Instinct…hee hee!!

Wow Ange, that is scary..wading in water. My carport at home was starting to flood a little. Had to go park my car out of the covered spot. I checked on it several times last night and was glad to see the water was gone (actually saw the stars around 10pm last night).
