KMS looks to be a budding artist, JK!
Commune, IMHO middle kit at Bachelor Party realized that not only would there be girls, but that they might be “nekked” LOL.
Ellie-fant has more artistic talent in his trunk than KJ has in her 10 fingers!

Love the spot-on artwork JK – reminds me of Erté covers for Vogue back in time, very much my style!
Just hoping that no one from Florida (not naming names) walks by Degas painting and gets idea of taking out tutu – they predicted rain here yesterday and for a change they were wrong as nice sunny day LOL.

Also, in an uncharacteristic gesture of kindness, Basement Cat is loaning one of his favourites from purr-ivate collection as “The Scream” by Edvard Munch – improved version *so many girl kitties, so little time*.

No Art Gallery is complete without a Cubist Cat as:
Jean Metzinger (1883-1956) – Still life with cat and fish – 1950 (are some of these titles totally self-evident and not so creative? Should a writer like me not have been hired to title paintings?)
    http://i1347.photobucket.com/albums/p711/katzjpickz/TDK%20ART/26d034ec-a50a-4604-83f5-9bbded229943_zpsbae831cf.png
And to blatantly steal terminology from JK – an artsy purry truism 😉

“In order to understand the cat you have to be able to grasp this nonlinear, indirect, holistic, circuitous communication. In short, art is a cat.” ~ Jerry Salz, art critic for the Village Voice

Wow…gorgeous L’heur Blue with cat! Thanks for the striking share Joan!
    Taken from wiki:
The blue hour is the period of twilight each morning and evening where there is neither full daylight nor complete darkness. The time is considered special because of the quality of the light. Photographers call it sweet light!

I appreciate the early Cubist Period/when you can still discern the subject of composition…nice acquisition to add to collection, KJ!

That painting is awesome Joan, I feel like diving into it! Wonder if they named classic “parfum” after painting?

Wandering over to Art Deco wall, these caught my eye:

Théophile Alexandre Steinlen’s classic ad – so purrfect as Café theme. Kit wants a sip. Hope little girl is explaining that chocolate is not good for kitties!

It’s actually “de” JK, but we all know you mean delish cuppa joe so forget it LOL. Speaking of French, I’ve been meaning to share film that I saw some years back and loved. Quirky but in a “feel good” lovely way. And English subtitles, as my French is not up to par to watch films/TV in French only. Here’s link for free online version, or probably available at vid/DVD store. Very purry film, with (not to worry) purry ending. Comedy/romance.

“Chloe, a young woman, is going on holidays. She entrusts her beloved cat to Madame Renée’s care. But one day Madame Renée (an old lady of the neighborhood) can not find the cat. Chloe starts searching the neighborhood… This is the pretext for the exploration of a quarter of Paris and his inhabitants.”
