    It’s only natural to get more and more fearful and nervous when facing any surgery with an unknown outcome. I went through that same agonizing waiting period when I had surgery eight years ago. The outcome was in doubt right up until the pathologist’s report came back to the OR. Of course, I didn’t find out about it until I woke up in the recovery room. But it was good news. So hold your hopes up, MC. The 15 days will be over before you know it. And never feel awkward about asking for prayers and good thoughts. As Shelley said, they just multiply like loaves and fishes and are easier to store up. {{{{MC}}}}

    Snap and be cranky all you want. We’ll understand.

    Seriously, ask your doctor to refer you to a therapist. One or two sessions with a psychologist who specializes in these kind of problems may provide you with some tools to help you deal with the perfectly natural fears you have.

    MC, think of all of us there with you..at times holding your hand or giving you a hug..our kitties snuggling with you, giving you sandpaper kisses, gentle headbonks and being snuggly when you need it. I too am amazed at your positive attitude and your friendship to others when they need it. You have a lot on your plate and it is only understandable that you would be fearful since you don’t know what your outcome is going to be. We are all here for you sweetie praying, sending positive and healing thoughts to you.

    MC, just want to let you know I’m saying a prayer for you about once an hour. With all the TDK prayers I know things will go just fine, but you make sure you speak up anytime you need a shoulder!!!

    MC – I don’t blame you in the least for being fearful! As the others have said, this is seriously major surgery. Just try to concentrate on how much you are looking forward to that pain in your head being GONE!!! It will be so worth it in the end! In the meantime, we are all here for you whenever you need us, and we’re all sending that powerful TDK white light your way!

    OMG! I think I passed out and now am back! I just spoke with my mom and my mom and sisters are having a little party for me the weekend before my surgery. They thought it would be nice and that way I can keep my mind off everything! Wow, the prayers of TDK really DO WORK! LOL

    Mollycat, I’ll be rooting for you from over here too. Of course you’re nervous, but you can always rely on TDK to distract you, right? And I haven’t forgotten I promised to send you something from the UK, just haven’t had the chance to choose “the right thing” as yet – but you’ll have it in time, honest!!!

    MC – can you give us the name and address of the hospital that will be hosting you? If lots of us send cards the staff will realize that you are a VIP and treat you especially well.
