You guys are not going to believe this. I was just looking out of my office window and saw something in the woods at the edge of my yard. It was the deer family that visits occasionally–I haven’t seen them for months! And they had a new baby with them! I wish I could have gotten a picture to share with y’all, but they moved away so quietly and I didn’t want to scare them and make them bolt. What a nice Mother’s Day gift. 🙂

Well, y’all can see how far into the yard I’ve gotten 🙂 But, I did manage to get dressed in my yard clothes!

Kittymom, I can send my email unless others here would like the recipe, too. Does anyone want KM recipe for tomato and onion puff pastries?

Sorry everyone, I had to go give Maddie lunch.

I am enjoying a nice mothers day. My hubby woke up early(which is a treat) and he said it’s my day off. He got Maddie up, fixed French toast and sausage then gave Maddie a bath. I then went to the cemetery to see my mom. I stopped at Target and it was funny to see all these men at the mothers day cards.

Now he is finishing up feeding Maddie then he will get us some chinese food for lunch. We are then going to get strip steaks and grill for dinner. I can nap, or do anything I want today, it’s so nice 🙂

I would like a chai tea as well. I love those.

Personally with everything going on within TDK, I was shocked. I am still a newbie I am sure and I just dont understand all the hurt, angry, spiteful things being said and why people are leaving. I did take a bit of it personally since the newbies were mentioned but I try to remember that it’s not directed at me. At least I hope not 🙂

Wow,what a wonderful gift CW,I’d love the see deer!

The only animal I see around here is the neighbor’s meezer boy,he’s plenty cute though and I confess that I go outside just to see him.He runs across the yards to see me,it’s so cute.

There was apparently a straggler in the group! Another deer just came by. When i called to my son that there was another one, the deer heard me through the open window and turned to look at me. She stood and held my gaze for a full minute before giving a shake of her tail and strolling off in the direction of the others. Something about her gentle face and the look in her eyes calmed me.

CW, we have a lot of deer around here, too. It always amazes me that they aren’t more wary of us human types. Usually they are out of sight during the day though and tend to come around late at night and/or verrryyy early in the morning. What a wonderful Mother’s Day gift for you…

I know today after the I went to the cemetery, I was very upset and crying, so I stopped in at Petco to see if they have something for my kits and I just spent a few minutes in there looking at the animals, watching some ferrets play and it was so cathartic. It made me laugh and it was like a salve was put on my open wound.

All right, now this getting ridiculous. I stood on the back porch looking in the direction the deer went to and saw an owl swoop gracefully through the yard to a tree opposite. This is turning into a Disney movie!

I know the owl lives here because he often chooses to sit in the tree right beside my open bedroom window and hoot very loudly into the window! The cats dive frantically under the bedwhen he does this. 🙂
