Good morning! Sweet happy kitties today! I lurked a bit yesterday but never got to say hi. We had a super quick trip to the lake yesterday…just for a little swimming and some lunch then home again. Hubby’s parents left Friday afternoon after a brief but fun visit. Son had a great 13th birthday. Thanks for the birthday wishes…I passed them along to him!

Morning all! …. the a/c install went ok yesterday, they’re back this morning to tweak a few things …. on of the drain lines decided to ‘leak’ last night right over my bed 🙁 …. but it was minimal, and turns out it was a simple fix of screwing tighter a small screw ….. thank goodness!
time for me to get going, I’ve got a box to change and some minor Hazeling to get done! L8R all!!

The way to happiness is paved with cats!! I agree!! Unless they are on the stairs and I have to pee, LOL!!!! Anyway, it’s Sunday–it’s raining here and WOO HOOOOO! It hasn’t done that all summer here and I am a lazy bum. I “starfished” in my bed after Mr. KZ left. I went back up to make it and got in and stretched out like a starfish while the cats took dibs on spots and Willow made biscuits under my hair by my ear. It was so dark and I could hear the rain on the roof—-ahhhh, bliss. I ain’t doin’ nothin’ today!

Hi everyone – happiness=cats, for us in TDK land anyway! Or goggies or animals of any kind for that matter. I like the wall of happiness. I also agree with the ice cream kitties!
How nice to have a quick getaway to the lake, ECB. Glad son had a great b-day. Wow, he’s a teen!
Wow, good thing the a/c leak was a quick and easy fix, AV. A leak over your bed sure is a rude surprise!
So happy you have rain, KZ! Can’t believe school is starting out your way. For the most part, schools start after Labor Day here, but once in a while it’s the week before.
I went outside last night to “feel” the storms roll in from the west and north. Lots of thunder and lightening but the rain didn’t come till much later. Of course I was joined by cats!
It is another hot and oppressive day here in Jersey. However, there is a breeze that is kind of nice in the shade. I’m with KZ, not too interested in doing anything today. It’s a good day to hang out and be happy!

T-storms yest made little inroad on heat/humidity, prob similar weather as in your n’hood JJ.
Still sorting out ordering washer, what with 7 hr diff between where I am and where landlord is at present. A bunch of household things need to happen and I’m stressing out, or I’m stressing out over other stuff and this is cover-up. Tomorrow plan to have “chat” with fitness dir at gym as no one attempts to diss me and gets away with it, plus do-nothing co-ordinator needs to be read riot act.
I don’t sound all that happy, do I? LOL. Switching gears, this Café would not be complete without a salute to the famous “Happy Cat.”

Good morning all. Beautiful sunny day here with next to no breeze. Lots of noise with chainsaws and chippers and building going on locally. The day almost feels like Spring but I know better than to imagine Spring has arrived.
Feeling really annoyed and stressed. Finally got Dr to take my arthritis seriously and got into a programme for living with arthritis and my darn car has a flat battery so I miss the first class. Hope I can still go to the rest of the classes if I miss this one. Typical of the way my life goes, something nice happens but something always ruins it. I’ll just crawl back in my cave now. Happiness month had a bad start for me.

Hi KJ – yep, t-storm rolls thru, does nothing but seemingly make it feel wetter. Simple dinner tonight consisting of leftover spaghetti, pasta salad, and some watermelon I picked up yesterday. (I keep forgetting to try it with salt!)
Sounds like you will eventually have a shiny new washer. A nice HE one will be worth the wait.
Oh MS, that sucks about missing the first class for your arthritis. Maybe it was mostly introductory stuff and some basics. Really, one class shouldn’t make that much difference. Good luck.
Well, it’s just as murky as it was 12 hours ago. Time for an ice pop!

Oh MS, I’m so sorry to hear you missed your first class. Arthritis certainly is no joke. It hurts like hell and I can testify to it. I am off tomorrow to see a doc that was recommended to me by the ortho surgeon as a first attempt at diagnostics. He is actually a anesthesiologist but has a practice in the surgical center for pain management. Ortho guy thinks I will benefit from a shot to the hip ( 😮 actually gives me the creeps) and is also used as a diagnostic tool to see if it helps me or if my back is also going wonky. If it’s the hip, then I’m ready to get it fixed as I am fed up with pain.
KJ, you will love a HE washer. When I researched mine, I did read the customer reviews which saved me from making a bad purchase. I am glad I read them (I read a LOT of them) to be able to see if there was a pattern to the bad and the good things reported.
Our weather here is just plain swampy, but I’m not going to complain about the rain! 😛

    Hi Efurryone,

Not much happening here. i’ve been taking care of my nephew’s girls and they are not happy with him. This is the third trip in as many months and they’ve had enough! meow!

Apparently my middle child, LilBit, has decided he wants attention. For the last two weeks, he goes around meowing and meowing. He hassles Miss Gaea (not smart) and Miss Moppet. Lately he’s been getting in my lap before the girls and he won’t share my lap. I’ve been concerned about his weight so I cut back on his dry food. I have to pick the other bowls up so he doesn’t finish them. Maybe that’s what brought on the changes…or he’s being a pistol.

It was not as hot as yesterday so that’s something.

That sucks about missing your class but I would attend the next one. It’s not like you slept in and missed it. geez!

Your morning sounds delightful, KZ. You and the kits sprawled out on the bed doing nothing! I had the shot in my left knee about 4 months ago, KZ. The actual shot hurt a lot but my knee is feeling good. Once in awhile, I feel a twinge but not the crippling pain. Ortho will only give you a shot 6 months apart. This is the first step (no pun indeed) toward getting your arthritis evaluated and managed.

Did LilBit purrhaps hear about middle child day earlier this week and feels “snubbed?”
My outdoor middle triplet Dewey (I have no idea is he really is the middle child but his name runs in the middle of the succession) came in for a wee visit. He tried to snuggle with Mac, who was feeling territorial, so he moved on to the couch for snuggles with hubby. Then he got up, went to the door and asked to go out. Fun kitty.

MS, I would think that they’d let you come to the next class, considering that it was not your fault that you missed the first one. As JJ said, from my experience, first class doesn’t provide key info. Or perhaps there’s a handout that you can review. But I hear you and it sucks. I get that “waiting for other shoe to drop” feeling too. I do hope that as month goes on things go better for you. Actually I hope that by tomorrow you feel better. A month is too long to wait.
KZ, hope that doc comes up with a diagnosis and can do something for you.
I’m going to try to get some sleep with Dorry as bedfellow. Who is supposedly provides me with unconditional love. Hah! Another myth, but in some strange way our relationship works.
