Since 1952, the PGA has held a charitable event, each year for National Golf Day, which is held on varying days within the year. The modern game of golf originated in 15th century Scotland, it is unclear and very much debated as to it’s ancient origins. No matter – I’m not a golfer but to those who are fore!

Also, NZ has some of the most stunning golf courses in the world. The North Island is renowned for its sweeping coastlines, rolling hills and tranquil beaches. Golf courses work with nature, not against it, and the views are breathtaking.

I’ve never gotten into golf either, although if I could get me a bag with a kitty caddy might give it a rethink LOL. I do like the golf outfits though, crisp skirts and T’s. I like tennis gear as well and dont play that either! Not quite Sunday here, but time to head to bed, catch you all tomorrow!

Raises paw, I’m a golfer ….. Haven’t played too much in the past few years, as my outdoor allergies give me fits! Mr. AV is a member of the PGA, and we do help with various charity events …. Spent our honeymoon at St. Andrews’ and went back on our 20th anniversary in 2005 to watch Tiger win the British open …

Everyone is sleeping late today, the young ones were out late … Enjoying my morning coffee

Good morning – just a mini-golfer here, though at times I feel like taking a crack at a driving range, and a lesson or two. A friend in Virginia golfs and sends me pics of some beautiful courses. While on vacation at the Outer Banks of North Carolina, hubby and I mini-golfed at a place near the Buxton woods (where the Cape Hatteras lighthouse is) and were joined by a playful kitten. If the ball came near the hole the kitten decided whether it would go in, get pushed in, or batted away!
Thanks for the links Deb. If I was in need of a kitty I would adopt a senior shelter cat in a heartbeat! They can be high maintenance due to health issues but kittens are high maintenance too, in other ways.
That bear video has generated a lot of chatter around here. Happy to see the bear survived the winter despite its injury. Interesting how the cynics insist it’s a person but those of us who are better informed know that bears will walk on 2 feet if they have to.
The sun is out today but it’s still windy – another high neck day for me. Despite my efforts, I have apparently caught a draft, leaving my head and neck quite sore. Think I’ll stay in today – the New York Jets are playing the Miami Dolphins in London, so the game is on already. Weird to watch a live football game in the morning!

Morning ladies! Yes, a high neck day here too, although the sun is shining and there is quite a breeze. I have lots of yard work to do, so best get to it! Later!

*Waving* to MS, KJ, KZ, AV and all other lurkers,

Thanks for the links Deb. I love a happy ending for senior and skittish cats and all cats. 🙂

Bummer you don’t golf anymore, AV. My Navy buddy loves to golf. Now retired and living in Jax she puts one day a week on the links. Are Venus and Luna happy their purr pa is home?

I love Bernese Mtn. dogs! They are gorgeous and very friendly.

I had to take the room heater out and put it the bedroom. Last night it was 49f/9c and will get to (maybe) 60f/15c today. The furnace filter needs to be changed and I didn’t feel like messing with it last night.

We decided not to mess with the cut down branches today.

Yes, Jets! I forgot the game was on London time so when I turned on the TV, I was huh?

    Back to more football 🙂

    Have a happy day ~

Well trimmed, pulled weeds, cut spent flowers trying to avoid those yukky garden spiders, cut back lily pads, pulled water celery and made note to self to never plant water celery again ever anywhere. Of course now I will never have to! Still ha e thi gs that need doing but don’t feel so overwhelmed now. And its beautiful here today.

Well the Jets won and the Giants won, I haz a happy!
It has indeed been a beautiful day. Didn’t do all that I would like to have, not being able to turn my head to the right is a bit of a hindrance, but got a few things done. Comet enjoyed a bit of outdoor time on his harness. Leela was on the other side of the door, pouting. Mac sat on the butcher block, looking out the kitchen window. They are all so nosey, need to know where I am at all times!

Well I’m out for the last of a month’s worth of 2-day holidays.
Spent much of pm in DIY mode as found another terrif bthrm shelf, complete with cornices! Not as strenuous as last week’s efforts, thank goodness.
PG, if you could kindly open Tues Café, I opened Monday Café just now. Much appreciated.
See you all on Tues nite! Have a great couple of days all!

Have a good couple ‘o days, KJ!
Yep PG, happy they won, both teams have a knack for blowing the lead in the final minutes. Refreshing neither team did that this time.
