Holistic medicine has grown in popularity but many people haven’t thought about it for their pets. Today is dedicated to bringing more publicity to holistic treatments for improving your pet’s lifestyle, diet and environment. Just like people, holistic treatments gives alternatives to traditional medicine.

    Agree re coffee PG!
As for holistic medicine, purrsonally I’m a Western/trad thinking grrl, ‘cept for arnica, not sure if that’s considered holistic. And Epsom salt soaks. But whatever works:

Tks for pics! Meditating kitty (with the sharp fangs) looks like Dorry, as does good night kitty. Silver grey tabbies rule! And I’m off to bed!

Hehehe MS – 2nd pic looks like class at my gym – only way purrier! Kits on spin bikes, hmmm. I have “threatened” to bring Dorry on in, safe in a little basket on handlebars. One guy (allegedly an engineer by profession) concocted his portable personal fan that fits over handlebars with space for his cell. Thus avoiding the ubiquitous “fan fights.” And KJ asking peeps *politely if at all possible* to move any fans, as she wants it hot, cold air blowing on warmed up muscles not a good thing. When we move into more dedicated spin area this bickering will be thig of the past as allegedly they will be installing some sort of super HVAC system. Was supposed to be ready as next week, so as per usual no work has started as yet.

Good morning – Comet often enjoys a pose that looks great – he’s in the traditional ‘circle’ position, except his legs are straight and his paws reach down over them and he tucks his head in.
    Thanks for the pics everyone!
The ‘super moon’ was beautiful last night. Those wildfires in the west are so scary. Kudos to the brave firefighters for all of their efforts.
A couple of cats spent a good amount of time arguing last night, keeping a vigilant Mac on his toes.

Goodnight, MS. Cute, cute yoga kits. The whole topic of holistic med just makes me depressed because our healthcare is so far from that. I’m all for prescription drugs when needed, but going there first for things that could respond to more natural treatment…makes me not even want to go to the doctor. We had a traditional pill pushing but good in other ways doctor for the boys in Lubbock, but I need to find a better one here.

Buttons, so glad to see the good news about Scarface on Saturday’s cafe.

Yeah, I’ve had fun picking out Leo’s themes on his beastie bands over the years. (Eko and Emily found collars that worked for them before I found beastie bands). First he had tiger stripes, then a western theme (since he was born near Amarillo TX), now gator print since he’s a Florida cat now. Lucy had a leopard print beastie band.

Hi ECB – there does seem to be a pill for just about everything. Flip through any magazine or watch tv for a half hour and there’s usually something. Why can’t anyone just ride out the common cold anymore with lots of fluids and crackers?
Listening to ‘Breakfast with the Beatles’ on a NYC radio station. ‘Her name was McGill, and she called herself Lil, but everyone knew her as Nancy.’

Morning all! Love the yoga kitties ….. I’ve practiced it for years! Always freakes the teachers out cause i’m 20 (or more) years older than them, but I’m freakishly flexible ( ex ballet dancer ) …..

It rained some last night, but looks the heavy stuff will move in today …. Which means I better get Abby’s box changed before it starts …. Have a good Sunday all!

Good Sunday to all and Joan–now I have the earworm going! I always listened to Breakfast with the Beatles as a local station had the BEST stuff ever. They let the woman DJ go (for some strange reason) and have tried to make it their own, it just isn’t good like it once was. It’s not pure Beatles stuff but they play stuff by them when they went off on their own. I like that stuff too, but it’s supposed to be about the BEATLES!
We sure do have the same likes as far as music goes!! 😀
Lazy day here and later will go to youngest dau’s to clip her cat nails. I am the only one brave enough to do it and she has one cat that is a polydactyl and he has so many extra toes with the longest nails!! He looks as if he has catcher’s mitts on his hands!

Certainly not a bad earworm, eh? Every song on that album is great, then again, every song on every Beatles album is great, IMO!
Take care, AV, and LEAVE THE TUTU IN THE CLOSET!!! 🙂

Weed is also a holistic remedy. Medicinal herb has been available here for years and two years ago, they legalized recreational use. I walk into any store down the street and buy a joint or an ounce. Of course, since it went legal recreationally, there are hundreds of shops. You have to be careful.

I get annoyed when younger women say you can’t be that flexible at your age. Yea, well, let me do the downward dog and show you what you can kiss. 🙂

    We’re going to see “Trainwreck.”

ROTFL at “homeopathic” joke, tks PG.
Dance experience here too, which maintains flexibility, and as far as it goes age is just a number. I’m so much more active than many 18 yr olds whose workout involves switching buttons on remote and playing “Candy Crush.” Peeps “stunned” that in addition to daily gym fun (‘cept Caturday) I also speed walk so much, well not having wheels helps. Here parents get tax write-off for kid’s gym memberships, some of my cohorts and I feel that adults should get this break too!
PG, so you can just walk in to your local store and score the “herb.” Guess one would have to consume it in your state as one step across border would equal arrest I assume.
I think that leg is better. Seems less warm, less itchy, less whatever was going on. Speaking of pills, think I’m taking the “mother” of antibiotics. Srsly hope that at Wed appt doc tells me that I’m done with them as among other things I want coffee with milk and other dairy stuff when I want it, and this 3 hr window pre and post pill conflicts with my lifestyle somewhat. But this should be the worst of my issues and I’d be happy grrl.
Did some artsy-craftsy stuff as made upholstered topper for end-of-bed chest with leftover foam from recently finished chairpads/backs, 2 sets for new chair. Should eat something as haven’t really done so since yesterday evening, I get sidetracked and making noms seems intrusive, so not good, but there it is.

Haven’t caught up on cafe yet . Internet has been coming and going all day.!

But I will report some amazing news! No I haven’t caught Scarface yet BUT he approached me today! He was no more than 5 feet away from me and I sat down and we gave each other slow blinks for 15 mins! I spoke to him softly and I have the trap out again with tuna this time but I’m starting to think he’s trap shy (he hung around the trap for over 30 mins without trying to go in) which is going to make things very difficult catching him. I might be stuck with just gaining his trust which could take an incredibly long time because he’s a feral . I think he’s a boy he’s pretty big so he’s eating well but his eyes are in really bad condition and he’s nt putting much weight on his right leg . I wish I could catch him! I need a vet to check him over and test him for FeLV. Once we get over that hurdle will think about the rest.

Must try and catch up on cafe now.. And will go out in a few mins to check on cage.

Also Rasputin seems to really like him he doesn’t make any attempt at chasing him away like he does to Dr Jekyll and I think the two of them are sharing to house next door!

Aww, glad you got to slow blink with Scarface, buttons!

So, our cats have to go in for rechecks this week. Fingers crossed I can get Emily loaded up for an 8 am appt tomorrow. Human kids have “dentals” at 9:00.

I asked if, given his vet temperament, they are really going to attempt to see in Leo’s mouth at Tues. recheck. They said I could try getting a photo of inside his mouth at home. Hubby won’t be home until late tomorrow, so we tried today. No go, even though I studied up on how to get a cat to open its mouth. It seems like his head is too big and my hand is too small. Oh well…

Glad your leg is improving, KJ! Funny comic, PG. 🙂

    Ahhhh!!! MASSIVE update !!!!!

    Scarface has been caught!!!!

But now I feel so guilty cause he’s banged up his little nose in the cage trying to get out.. But I suppose that’s what happens sometimes 🙁

I’ll get a vet app tomorrow morning hopefully
