This is the last day of Game and Puzzle Week. We celebrate with popular board games or puzzles reviving traditions of playing games together at home. As an added benefit, puzzles are good for your brain.

Nighty night all. I need to be fresh and well rested as it’s Monday in the Morning.

    Morning Eastern Hem TDKers!
Not a board/card games fan. But I do so enjoy the kittys’ take on games! I probably would enjoy Scrabble and wonder if LOL and urban slang has made it into Scrabble dictionary. Dorry agrees with the kit who doesn’t “get” Hunger Games. And lets me know it – loudly. LOL. Getting a bit of a rest this am as going to noon spin class. 9 am instructor’s routine is getting way hit/miss. Too much into pseudo-training for biking outdoors which I’m never going to do. Noon teacher is sub who ditches all that for dance type wkt where one works arms/abs – on the bike. Might do same Fridays, I’ll see. Also getting tired of some rude peeps/fan fights (I can’t abide cold blast of air anywhere near me) and bike fights as in reserving for friend who arrives way late! Rant pointless, allegedly this will all be gone when our spanking new bike studio is opened allegedly in New Year. They’re making it seem all top secret yet I have details, in fact staffer let me go behind the curtain and check out the place as I asked, nicely. Going to have black ceiling, black lighting, disco flashes, party atmosphere, blasting music, which is supposedly all the rage now. The “srs bikers” are not happy. I’m not among them so like yes!
No snow now, but damp and cold so getting it together to get things done and get on out. L8R!

Good morning – love the puzzle kitties! I’ve got a box full of games and puzzles – the kind of things to occupy one’s self in case of a long term power outage. KJ, the new room sounds kewel!
I keep beating myself up about Squeeker – I didn’t try hard enough, long enough, I didn’t focus. I was thinking just the opposite, but could it be that the CRP information was so fresh in my head it didn’t come to me? Trying my best to turn regret/sadness/anger toward helping the 6 that remain and being thankful my indoor trio are happy and healthy.
It’s a chilly but sunny day here in Jersey. The fire is going, and the Giants and Jets both are playing the early game.

JJ, I so don’t want to get preachy, and this comes from “she who keeps bringing up/replaying the past,” to my detriment. What I say is what I should apply – and too often don’t. You have no idea what the outcome would have been no matter what interventions you might have tried. I truly hope that with some time you will come to a more peaceful place with this, where yes, the sorrow will remain, but the guilt will ease somewhat. KJ

OK, JJ. You completed a CPR class for cats. That’s great but it doesn’t mean you can save every kit. I understand that Squeeker was one of your kits but you don’t know what happened to Squeeker. I believe you did your best. You’re good woman and a caring meowmy so give yourself a break.

Well, it seems potentially srs incident ended peacefully:
“A police barricade of a Snowdon neighbourhood ended peacefully after a man closeted in an apartment and believed to be armed gave himself up at about 1:30 p.m.” Man was taken to hospital and that ended that.
News pic shows precise route that I take to gym most everyday. SWAT team on hand and all. I was at gym at close of incident. Now more than ever just hearing words like “police standoff,” “weapons,” and “barricade” sets peeps into panic mode. Understandably so. 🙁

Glad things ended peacefully, KJ. Scary stuff when it’s happening though.
Put the candles in the windows for the holiday season today – probably the earliest I’ve ever decorated. We don’t do a lot of decorating outside so there’s not much more to add. Next weekend I’ll buy a wreath from the Boy Scouts and we have a sled with a big red bow. Simple but pretty.
Well, the Giants lost and the Steelers lost. Jets won, but if I understand the playoff picture correctly, that’s not good news for the Steelers.

Well I will be putting candles in the window as well, JJ! But next week. And different holiday as Chanukah! 🙂

JJ, you did what you could to the best of your ability. Fate had it that Squeaker was not to be revived and who knows why he passed in the first place.
KJ, scary situation and glad it was sorted out successfully.
