No much happening today so I decided it Miscellaneous Day. Enjoy!
Origin of miscellaneous is Latin 1630-40
    1630- Latin miscell?neus mixed, of all sorts,equivalent to miscell (us) mixed + -?n (us) -an + -eus-eous

    It’s a quiet evening so we’re lounging around. Cya l8r and have a happy~

Bahahaha! These pics did make me laugh out loud–where do you FIND these gems?! Took me a minute on the ‘retailer’ pic, but that’s funny as well as MS’ ‘proceed’ pic!!

Lazy day for me, I should be doing something other than typing on TDK, but I’ll get around to it later! 😉

MS, you sound WAAAAYYY too busy to me, maybe it really should rain to give you time to put your feet up for a bit.

Well, time to hit the shower and plan my day…later!

PG, it’s a perfect day to be Miscellaneous Day! MS, the snowball kitty made me LOL, and I DON’T type LOL often!
A NYC radio station has been playing the top 104 songs as voted by listeners. As I was doing some miscellaneous stuff, I sang along to Jimi. While singing the lyrics, “outside in the cold distance, a wild cat did growl,” I stepped outside and was greeted by Berta’s cheerful “Breep!”. Who knew a kitty could knock the wind out of one of Rock & Roll’s greatest songs written by the great Jimi Hendrix!

    Good Monday morning all.
This is what it is like here today. Windy as heck, cold but with the sun shining.
KZ, it did rain and I got to put my feet up for a while yesterday before I nipped out and planted out the delphiniums and asters. Today it is the turn of the cucumber and zucchini but only if I get create a windbreak for them. I also have some long cylindrical beetroot(beets) to plant out.
I had so much fun looking for miscellaneous pics and also learning to spell ‘miscellaneous’ correctly without having to think about it.
JJ, that snowball kitty has always amused me but I have been reluctant to use the pic in case of offending. Last night I thought what the heck and used it.
Oh how wonderful the Berta was joining in the song. Cats are way smarter than many people think and she is obviously a fan of Jimi.
I am currently listening the the rusty gate hinge sound of a couple of geese, I have grown to enjoy it recently. Even though I live in the suburbs I can look down at a mini farm(so far). There are a dozen or so bantams and hens and now two geese, very much a couple. I prefer their cluckings and ‘book bookings’ and the infrequent honks of the geese to the wailings and squealings of the new neighbourhood toddlers. Gasp! It’s not that I don’t like children but a not as many as we suddenly got when more houses were built.
Shadz is still behaving impeccably when it comes to the blackbirds, if I hear the birds alarm call all I have to do is check in that area and Shadz appears and comes inside even if she wasn’t doing anything but sleeping innocently under a shrub. Hopefully the babies will be off soon and peace will reign in the garden for Shadz.
Quakes are still occurring, there were several good shakes last evening but not being felt in my area as they are too far away.

Hello it is me Chantelle (Chey). Since I have no idea what my old email was for my username I made a new account.

Just peeking in. What’s for dinner? I think I am going to make myself some soup. 🙂

Sounds like a good warming meal Chey.
Even though we are 3 days from Summer here in NZ it is quite nippy today mainly because of the string winds we are experiencing, Spring equinox winds.
I am now thinking of getting some homemade tomato soup from the freezer for my lunch. Thanks for the soup suggestion. Some grainy toast will go with it too.

I wish I had some grainy bread with sunflower, other mixed nuts and cranberries

Pops some grainy bread through the wormhole for Chey. Sorry it doesn’t have nuts and cranberries. That does sound wonderful though.
Tomato soup now defrosted and waiting for bread to toast, the perfect lunch for a nippy windy day.

    🙂 MMMMMmmmmmm

I have some meat I am roasting in the oven. Should be done at the same time as the pot barley and split pea soup. 🙂 Chey

Perfect Chey, expect me through the wormhole for a sample. 🙂
My homemade roasted tomato soup was delicious with toast.
Time I braved the winds and did some gardening. Catch you later.

Hi MS – hang on to your hat, don’t blow away! I’m glad HRH is behaving with the blackbirds. Yeah, ok, I can understand the snowball pic teetering to the offensive side, but everyone (here anyway) knows no cats were harmed in the taking of photos. What makes it so funny is the fun that snow can be!
Hi Chey, nice to see you! Hubby is grilling sausage and I’ll combine it with peppers, onions and tomatoes. Not my favorite dish, but I want to get the sausage out of the freezer!
Well, Dewey spent all afternoon in the house. It was a nice day, but when the wind kicked up and the clouds came in it felt rather cold. He just went out, which is purrfect timing as I’ll feed my indoor trio their dinner.
The Giants won, yay! Next week they play PG’s Steelers, so it looks like we will have a little TDK rivalry going. 🙂

Soup tasted delicious 🙂 the broth had lots of ginger, garlic and onion in it. I think my tastebuds are happy 😀 lol

I am going to go read in bed. Well, I need to find a book via google play, but hopefully I find something and read for a little while. (Someone nudge me at 3am to see if I am still reading lol)

    Hi Efurryone,

HRH doesn’t want meowmy see her get dive bombed again! It’s a bit chilly here and very windy; same as yesterday. Miss Gaea doesn’t like breezies up her butt so she stays in and is a grump.

    Yea Steelers, Yea Giants!

Any news on Dewey’s adoption, JJ?

I don’t recall meeting you so Hey, Chey.

I finished making my Espresso cookies so now, I’m going to relax.

    Have a good night,

Dewey’s up for adoption? I must have missed a day or something.
Late to Café. And I made an “executive” decision. After spending like 8 hrs over 2 days winding yarn I give up! Total waste of my time and more importantly my energy. And my back was complaining too (although could also be Fri spin class where we do upper body as well.) So tomorrow I will just order 3 more balls which will be wound on the swift at Knitting Circle store.
Need to chill now. BTW snow completely melted although there might be some flurries in the offing. So different from last wk. Still damp and chilly though.

Glad the soup was good, Chey. Sorry, I hope not to be awake at 3am!

Dewey is not officially up for adoption. As far as the vet is concerned, he is an adoptable cat that I am fostering. I wanted him to get checked out and vaccinated because he likes to come inside and I was worried about him compromising the health of my indoor trio. Thing is, vetting gets super expensive, so I was able to have his fees go through my hometown animal charity. The vet charges the organization, and I donate whatever I can afford.
Sorry for any confusion. It’s a weird situation in that I’m not their official foster mom, but it’s better than having them sit in cages at the shelter.
So although Dewey is probably adoptable, there’s a good chance he will be my foster failure!

I’m not sure what you’re doing with the yarn KJ but sorry it’s a pain. Are you sure this isn’t what happened to your yarn?

I figured Dewey would be a foster failure. You (and us) love him so much because he’s a BIG SWEETIE!

    Cya l8r and nighty night,

Those 2 sleepy kits are slaying me PG!!!!!
Can’t blame Dorry for my yarn woes although I sense that he was snickering. Worse than the adorable pic. If yarn is packed in a ball I just find the end and rewind it so that it pulls easily. When it’s packed in a hank finding the end is nigh on impossible! It got beyond tangled. And I just gave up. 🙁 So not a huge problem but still frustrating. I will order more and do better, esp if yarn store peeps wind it for me on neato gadget.
