The full report: faux meat loaves (6 now cozied up in freezer) came out really good, I did a wee taste test. And you’re right PG, just used the 8 oz. of tomato sauce as pouring more on tip would have been too much. Plus the faux ground round was already “Italian” seasoned. Well, another recipe added to folder of KJ-proof recipes. Mucho tks!
AV, Miss Abby is a stunner, her fur is so pretty! Big Sal does not look all that big IMHO, classic handsome orangie. Dorry feels pangs of love for Miss Abby, but I told him that’s as may be, but not a good plan as her swain Big Sal could probably take him down and quite easily. 😉
Buttons, you sleep well and dream of only good things.
    Hi MS *waves*

Will do KJ nighty Night… Don’t let the bed bugs bite, and if they do grab your shoe and beat them till they’re black and blue 😆

Good morning all, it’s pouring with rain here today so i have been out washing the cars. might as make use of the free washdown service from the skies. HRH is sitting outside watching the rain fall when she could be tucked up inside. Crazy cat.
Love the theme today and the pics.
My first pet I remember was a big black striped tabby cat called Nicky, I was quite young and the two of us had a special relationship that toddlers and cats can have. One day he just wandered off and never returned, apparently he was old and Mum said he must have gone away to die.
Deb, thanks for the Anzac/Gallipoli remembrance link. We feel very sorry and upset for all in Nepal here in NZ, we have a particularly close and continuing relationship with Nepal started by Sir Ed Hillary after his ascent of Everest and then the building of schools and hospitals by a foundation begun by him. The news coming from Nepal is quite shocking and the pictures heartbreaking.
Buttons, good to hear that Ms MP is feeling a little better and that you are able to spend some cuddle time with Noodles. I hope all goes well with her vet visit. Awwwwww, Nutini has a beau.
AV, HRH woke us today and it wasn’t appreciated as today is a public holiday and Mr MS was looking forward to a sleep in. She launched herself on to the bed then let out a loud “I’m here” meow which woke us instantly. Maybe she was confused by us still being in bed so late on a Monday. You have to love the Abby/Sal love affair, on is of the heart and I suspect the other is of the stomach. Oh, great pic Sal.
Leela is watching the wildlife, love hearing about your birds too Joan.
Squeeeeeee kittens Deb, are you tempted to give one a home?
That was a great haul KJ.
Oh Miss Moppet is so beautiful, no wonder Dorry has fallen for her. Do his other ‘ladies’ know about this though.
Going to check out the meat loaf recipe. I have a great self saucing meat loaf recipe that has instant coffee in the sauce, makes an amazing sauce without the coffee flavour.

    AV,
Miss Abby is a beautiful grrl. I agree with KJ-Sal isn’t that big of a guy. Is Miss Abby a cougar (pun intended)?
When you get a chance, Buttons, please explain what is night scent stock?

Yea-I’m glad the faux meatloaves can out good, KJ. I really like the recipe.

Now, I’m going to have chicken noodle soup.

Well MS, Dorry is a cat, so he gets a pass for “catting around” I guess???
Coffee in meat loaf recipe? I think that some peeps put cocoa in chili recipes. Just checked it out on I’Net – yup I’m right! LOL Hmm … like I don’t get enough coffee and now need to supplement my nomz with the bean. 😉

Wow, Miss Moppet is beautiful, and so is Abby! Her eyes are like my oldest dau’s cat Rags…and his tongue sticks out too when he’s looking out the window! Big Sal, should be Young Sal, he is so slim and trim he looks like a yearling! The meatloaf sounds wonderful–I didn’t check out the recipe so I guess I should as I am wondering how do you make it meatless with ground round?
Buttons, prayers that you are sleeping peacefully, and in the morning get the best news ever about Ms. MP!!
I am hungry now for PadThai noodles with chili oil–I love the flavor of hot oil…mmmmmm!

KJ, the coffee really gives the sauce a delicious flavour.

Rain and wind getting heavier and stronger here, a good day to stay inside.
Of course HRH is somewhere outside and seems to be happy to stay out there. I have whistled her and she doesn’t bother coming to me.

Wow, Abby and Ms Moppet are both beauties! Sal, from what I can see in his pose, looks like he might have Leo’s body type…big, long, tall, but not fat.

Fun that you made a new recipe, KJ. Your place sounds so efficient and cozy. I like that.

Hope everything goes well for MP tomorrow, buttons!

Ec, you’re right, Sal is big, tall and all muscle … I have to tell you all, that pic of him is almost a year old, it’s hard to get a close up of him ….. he’s a young cat and had grown immensely since then! Having picked him up, I’d swear he’s 20+ lbs. … reminds me of my big Buc

I should clarify KZ. It’s a meat loaf recipe as posted a few days back by PG. But I made it with faux meat, or rather “veggie” ground round. Tastes the same to me as do tofu hot dogs/burgers/ham slices/bacon etc. Can’t remember what meat tastes like as it’s been a long while, plus only way that I can eat “ham”, etc., as seriously not kosher. Generally one can substitute for real meat.

Thanks for the faux meat loaf report, KJ. Added bonus of the already-added seasoning!
HRH in the rain, figures. What’s up with cats wanting to be outside when we would prefer them being in during inclement weather?
This evening I looked out the living room window to see a cat on the roof of my car; dusk is the purrfect time to watch the birds in the trees next to the house. A real pretty Tuxie. No tipped ear, guessing he’s (she?) someone’s indoor/outdoor kitty. Rooftop Kitty and Comet had a good time looking at each other and the birds.

Now this is seriously LOL funny. Just reading the leaflet that came with my 2 new mini flat irons. Among the 15 (yes!) warnings is the following: Never use while sleeping. I’ve heard of sleep walking, even rare cases of sleep eating, but sleep flat-ironing one’s hair ❓

Hi KJ, that warning funny ha ha and funny peculiar at the same time. I’ve seen some odd warnings on items too and even better some horrendous ‘chinglish’ instructions.
Still no HRH inside but I know when she does come in she will be dry but still expect to be towelled off. I braved the rain and visited my grandkits, Lucky was outside watching the rain fall while his sister Ruby was perched on her Daddy who was reclined watching TV. Lucky came in the cat door when he heard me and had big cuddles and then insisted I rub his tummy.
Winds and rain still pretty bad.

Yup, seen ’em too MS. Plus some English versions of French websites from businesses in my own dear bilingual province, which are self-explanatory as to why they should be hiring a genuine translator/adapter as myself, instead of assuming the I’Net generated texts are just fine. Some of the English renderings are ROTFL-worthy, not the ideal response one would assume a business would want when attempting to break into US and Anglo-Canadian markets. *Steps off soapbox*
Actually new flat iron works even better than my current one, detailed usage instructions aside (yes there are some other real “winners” in said leaflet.) 🙄
Hope that common sense (cats have that, don’t they?) sees HRH coming in soon.
You stay safe and snuggled up inside.
Now I’m off to watch PVR’d episode of excellent series “Call the Midwife” then get to bed in due course. Nite, all!

KJ, I’ll channel Homer Simpson in saying, “That warning label is there because of me!” Geesh
Oh Miss Shadz, you’ve got mama wrapped around your paw, don’t you? My Jiggs loved to be toweled off too.
