Cherries are…amazing and delicious. Cherries originated with the sweet cherry and have been eaten since prehistoric times. It was introduced to England by order of the King Henry VIII. I’m not sure if kits are fond of cherries unless it fell on the floor. They can play with it until you step on it. 😆

    Today is Sunday – enjoy!

I’m getting caught on Grimm. Cya l8r and have a happy~

PG, I agree, I would like to see that sign at the road right by my house!! MS, your birthday feast sounds wonderful to me too, I’ve never eaten seafood on the beach like that, but it sounds like heaven.

Today is a warmer day than yesterday, and the sun is shining brightly. A warm up to the mid 50’s is expected mid week, so it will be nice for walking outside. I have been released from my in home PT, and will see my doc in a couple of weeks. I will ask him if he recommends me doing some outpatient PT. I have an elliptical which I may get on and build some strength in my muscles in the meantime.

This is a lazy Sunday for me and I’m loving it. I am also going to catch up on Grimm, didn’t get a chance yesterday. I love this show so much, can’t figure out why this is the last season. Every character in the show is so unique and I will miss them!

Just finished the cherry pie I made the other day. Cherry trees in bloom are so beautiful, but if you want the cherries you have to get them quick as the birds love them!
Now I know why Star was a bit ‘off’ the other day – she has a bite wound on her side. She has pulled the fur around it off so I’m able to see it pretty well. I don’t think topical meds will help much, since she can get at it easily, but I’ll put some meds in her food.
After a stormy night the sun has come out and it is much cooler. I’m having a quiet day and am going to watch the Daytona 500 later.

No cherries here at the end of February, not even in bloom.

I don’t do much sweet baking, but in season, I like to do a clafoutis, which is batter poured over cherries – or other fruit; later in the season I like to do susini – little dark Italian plums. Just baked in the oven, a good but simple dessert.

I hope you enjoyed your lazy day but don’t get lazy with your PT. The reason that Grimm fans dropped off is when they changed the show to the modern Wesenrein war, I think.

Poor Star 🙁 Hopefully, she improves on the meds. and doesn’t need to see the vet. Gentle hugs for Star.

Those sound like delish food Lagatta. You have some of the best recipes, thanks.

We just got back from seeing “United Kingdom.” Excellent movie-I wanted to scream and cry. The title is an interesting play on words.

    *KJ pounces into Café*

Trying to do the major distraction thing as my nerves are more or less shot. Need it to be Tuesday, things to be OK and yeah.

Srsly cold here , “feels like” -13C w/wind chill. Was supposed to be +14C at some pt yesterday, don’t think it happened. And someone in Knitting Circle actually argued with me over potential weather. 🙄 I wanted to B-slap her! Basically the regulars are nice, but there is one srsly unfluffy participant whom I pretend is invisible, and the one that I just mentioned has her moments. We could use a TDK moderator. Whatever.

Finally finished all the borders on challenging sweater. Yes! One more sweater has set of sleeve borders to do in advance, but way less complicated.

KZ, you didn’t ask so feel free to pay no attention whatsoever, but you might want to consider not waiting several wks to find out whether continuing with PT is a good plan. But more importantly, you might want to get advice or a go-ahead from a PT before using an elliptical. I get that you might be feeling frustrated, but you don’t want to strain anything. You might be feeling stronger than you are.

I don’t like cherries (don’t really like any fruit except berries, apples, oranges and I guess tomatoes and avocados count.) But I like kits with anything! 🙂

I’ve been catching up on “Doctor Blake” mysteries. Set in the 50s in OZ, very well done.

So not watching Academy Awards. Haven’t been to movie theatre in prob 10 yrs or more. Takes like an hour to get there, prob $8-$10 bucks, floor can be “sticky” ewww! Plus place is usually too cold for me. I can always wait until flick comes out on TV.

Grrrl in spin class and I agreed that “Grumpy Cat” is pawsome. And that Grumpy’s purrents must be raking in the $$$. She is owned by a kit named Cubby.

Going to do the noms thing even though I so don’t feel like it. Again, whatever.

KJ and PG, I am still continuing my PT, I do it myself by what my instructors taught me at home, but I am not going to do the elliptical until advice from my surgeon. I will be seeing him next week and I’ll probably continue with outpatient PT, for a couple of weeks anyway. Because this is costing me money (or my insurance company) which in a round about way is still costing me… 🙄 Most of this is flexibility and range of motion without pain…I don’t want to go to a facility and have some hot shot PT have me do something and I have to recover from a muscle pull or something. This is me stressing mind you….because for me with a therapist, I have to build trust, it’s not just a given. I miss the one I had for a month as we finally had trust built up over time—picture me ‘muscle guarding’ for the first few sessions until I learned that he wasn’t going to let me hurt myself. 😳 I have to realize it’s only been a month since my surgery, and have to remember I am still recovering from that–remembering to rest and to elevate. Thank you so much for your concern, I truly appreciate it!!

I love cherries, and cherry pie is my favorite pie. I know lots of people who don’t like them, but I love their sweet/tart flavor. Yes, like JJ said, you have to get to the trees to get them before the birds do!!

I had to look up clafoutis, and it sounds delicious, Lagatta! I may have to try making it sometime, maybe with blueberries.
Thanks, PG. I hope meds help her and I may try some topical stuff anyway.
Oh, Cubby is an awesome name!
My mom used to make a cherry pie on George Washington’s birthday, which is probably why I do it when I remember.
The race was pretty good, though there were a lot of crashes that took several drivers out. Apparently there’s some sort of awards show on tonight. I don’t watch stuff like that but I do like checking out photos to see all the pretty dresses.
    RIP Bill Paxton.

Fantastic, I was on the verge of giving up posting as nothing would post but finally success.
Sorry I can’t replicate everything I said but I have to say Woohoo KZ for being free of in home PT. I guess now it’s PT in office.
I had acupuncture and physio this morning and my knees are feeling great although my tushie is a little sore from the needles. What’s a little soreness when I can walk so much more freely.
    Heading to Monday’s Cafe now.
