Good morning all! …. I love Sherlock stories …. in fact, ‘Elementary’ is one of Mr. AV and my favorite TV series currently! ….
Well the Preakness was yesterday ….. of course we called Son to place a sports book and Mr. AV picked the winner! …. I went with the favorite, so I lost my $2 …. Mr. AV won about $100 …. we’ll have a nice dinner night out now 😉
Looking foward to a relaxing day, Miss Abby is over her meds and seems to be doing very well with her teeth surgery … eating like a champ, and no complaints that I can detect …. she probably feels better since the hurting teeth were removed …..

It’s a cloudy start to the day here in Jersey after a rainy evening and overnight. Can you believe it, the wood burner was going last night. It felt just chilly enough and the fire took the dampness out as well.
Initially 4 customers for breakfast; Mama Cat came by a bit later. Dewey was around earlier but not when breakfast was served. He’s sporting a scrape on his head similar to the one Louie recently had, so I got some bacitracin on him and amoxicillin in his food yesterday. Mr. Gooey-eyes Huey is looking good – I haven’t had to bug him with eye wipes lately. When I pick him up, he straddles me so his belly is against mine, big goofy baby!

We had a cat serial killer in our n’hood as well. Haven’t heard about him in a whole (his pic was posted in local pet supply place.) I can only hope that he either stopped or was stopped. Thing is when they catch these f**ks they claim “insanity” and end up in psych hptl with 3 squares a day, all kinds of neat classes and free therapy. I believe things are evened up on some level, but that we usually don’t get to witness the payback. 😥
On pleasanter note my gym is also community ctr and today/ tomorrow is the awesome annual bazaar, all $$$ go to good cause. So for grand total of $31 I got me a handbag, belt, suede gloves, IKEA style nesting baskets, knitting yarn storage bin and cute boho dirndl skirt, black with interesting border. I never pay the reg price my MO is to say that I’m taking this at whatever price but just want to know if there’s lower price on offer and then they knock off few dollars. Sadly (well not really sad) sample shoes size has gone up to a 7 over the years as opposed to my size 5 pawsies. Otherwise, they had tables of the most awesome sample shoes. Well someone will do well. Might stop by as they close tomorrow ’cause at that point one can almost get paid to take whatever’s left.

ECB, I hope that job confirmation comes soon so you can get on with finding a home. My city has been growing so much for so long there are suburbs I haven’t seen or heard of.
KJ, a whole heap of bargains makes for an excellent day.
On the cat killers topic briefly, i think wherever you are in the world there is people sick enough to do that. We have had them here too. KZ I will never forget the callousness of that so called vet.
We had a very cold night last night, down to 5C -41F. Not very low for many of you and it’s not quite Winter either. HRH snuggled up with us for the night. Today is still quite chilly, we have a weak sun and occasional showers. I have a feeling that we will light the fire tonight.
Spent the morning out getting my flu vaccination finally, preparing for the ouchies in my shoulder tonight.
